"Hmmm...I like your drive and approach to work. I like your zeal and bla bla bla. Take my card. Call me. I work for an oil firm. Let me help you get a job in my company"

Somebody should tell him that his strategy is good but might not work all the time.

How many Nigerians working in Oil Firms or Telecomms will see their fellow men and want to help them get jobs in their own jobs.
Nobody wants you to rise above them.

Mheen! Even in captivity, he still gave it his very best to make the best out of it. Such prisoners should be granted automatic employment so as to encourage others so far their behavioral and mental health have been examined to have changed for the better and ready to serve the country/organization for good in the proposed employment.

Give her up for adoption. That's the right thing now.

It will be tough at first, but best you adjust and face your life squarely while she's in safe hands.

If you don't, you will suffer her for nothing and it will affect you getting the best out of the remaining years in your life.

Never be tired of this life, always make use of new opportunities even if it is not conventional or popular. In this case, your opportunity is to be able to make something out of your life while your daughter grows elsewhere to be an adult.

You will be fine, she will be fine too. Which state are you?

I just read other people's comments above mine. Please ignore them. They sit comfortably typing without empathy and with the typical Nigerian mindset.

Adoption is very good, your daughter will have people she can look up to as parents/guardians. She needs that foundation at least till when she is 18. You are merely 21 and this is your chance to restart your life. If you don't take this chance, you will suddenly reach 40, depressed, broke, miserable and suicidal. Please take this chance, especially for your daughter to have a home.

Think very well! Don't jump out of your current boat of 'small pay' into the ocean of unemployment with the hopes of boarding a Ship of 'big pay'. Y'all(you and your family) might just drown in poverty.

Get the connection, job and sever ties with the Force. If not, be contented with what you have. The Labour market and economy are hard already. Don't add more misery to them and yourself.
