ProfDview1: There is this lady I like so much, even my friends know that I like her so much and will love to spend the rest of my life with her.
One day, I saw her with my friend and I later asked her why she is so close to my friend. She said they are dating each other, that she cannot marry me simply because I am tailor.
My friend is a yahoo boy, he doesn't have any work. The only way he eats is via internet scam. To be honest I was so pained, moreover she is not the only lady to have done this to me. Have met several ladies that told me that they can't marry a tailor and they end up dating yahoo Boys for my street.
They always tell me to leave my tailoring job and go hustle like my frnds to make cool money.
Guys, I am tired.. Should I leave the tailoring job and join my friends to do the yahoo stuff?
Girls keep rejecting me up and down and I am fed up.
Pls advise me Aw, so sorry man..someone is one day going to love and cherish you cos u are a tailor...no worries OK. Just keep ur head up and work hard. |

Romance › Re: My Wife's Sister Wants Me To Sleep With Her. by Rickmann: 12:42pm On Apr 29, 2020 |
ninety5: Hi everyone, hope y'all safe. I am going to hit the road straight up.
My wife's sister, 24, visited us two days before the lockdown in Lagos and was hoping to travel in the next three days. Unfortunately for her, the lock down thwarted her plan.
Now, my wife, together with our 3 year old boy, always leaves the house during the day to go gossip with her friends, living only her sister and me at home.
The problem is, my wife's sister has been looking at me somehow, like she wants me to have sex with her. The other day she saw me and was smiling like I gifted her some money, like a fish. Yesterday, she wore a blouse that left her n.pples dangling back and forth as she walked around the house.
Guys please, I am in a dilemma. And, good god, the girl is finer and hotter than her sister, the gossip.
What do you want me to do?
No insult please. Yea, like you said..the lockdown must have thwarted her plans of going back soon after her visit... First of all I'd blame your wife who isn't sensitive enough to know the dangers of leaving her sister alone with you in the house. Secondly, u ve got to be smart and careful..not all that glitters is gold, it could be a big trap even masterminded by ur wife. |
Politics › Re: Won The Olimpic Gold Medal, Took Part In Politics And Died By Hanging The Story by Rickmann: 8:59am On Apr 29, 2020 |
mansakhalifa: OP, much as I like history of any sort, your write-up is all at once problematic and outrightly misleading- from title to post to photographs.
You want to write about a man, you've got to know him and his story inside-out so that you don't go about misrepresenting facts.
For the records, Ifeajuna never won an Olympic medal. What he actually won was an Empire Games Gold medal in the track and field events. The Empire Games is what you and I now know today as the Commonwealth Games.
Now, you will agree with me that the the Olympic Games are in no way related to the Commonwealth Games. Unless, of course, you think otherwise.
2. You might want to change the second photograph or do away with it completely. What you have there, in that photograph, is actually an image of Major Patrick Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu and not that of Major Emmanuel "Toronto" Ifeajuna.
Keen observation there..was just about saying that. Also, ifeajuna was never executed by hanging but his death was by the firing squad as seen in the photo abov

Culture › Re: Reasons Why Yoruba Wives Are Called 'iyawo' by Rickmann: 12:56am On Apr 29, 2020 |
Odunayomi247: It is unknown to many speakers of the Yoruba language that the original Yoruba word for wife is ‘aya’ and not the commonly used ‘Iyawo’. Back in the early years of the Yoruba people, the word Iyawo did not have a place in the Yoruba language not until an incident brought about its coinage and usage. OldNaija present you the origin of the Yoruba word Iyawo. Origin of the Yoruba word Iyawo: Long ago in Yoruba land, a beautiful princess and daughter of the first king of Iwo town named Wuraola was in the quest of getting herself a patient, tolerant and well mannered husband. Strong and good looking men, the likes of Sango, Ogun and others, had already traveled to Iwo town to seek the hand of Wuraola in marriage but left not with a wife but uncontrollable anger. Wurola had been rude to everyone of them. In fact, she hurled insults and curses at her suitors which made them all leave on the same day they arrived the town of Iwo because they couldn’t tolerate her bad behaviors. Orunmila, a good looking man, also journeyed to Iwo in the bid to win the hand of Wuraola in marriage. But before he set out, he had already consulted Olodumare, the supreme being, through Ifa. Olodumare revealed to Orunmila that he must be patient with Wuraola and endure her behaviors no matter how bad they are in order to succeed in the quest of marrying Wuraola. When Orunmila got to the palace of the king of Iwo, he was greeted with a hiss and scornful look by Wuraola. The unperturbed Orunmila smiled and returned her greetings with kind and sweet words and also presented gifts to the king. Orunmila stayed in Iwo for seven days which can be described as nothing but a hell on earth. Wuraola didn’t serve Orunmila water let alone food. She insulted the goodness out of Orunmila but he stayed calm and smiled at her. He even smiled when she used his opon ifa (divination board) as firewood and when she took his pouch (apo ominijekun) from him. Though, Orunmila boiled with rage, still, he didn’t show it or leave Iwo according to the instructions of Olodumare. On the sixth day of Orunmila’s stay in Iwo town, the king of Iwo gave Wuraola in marriage to him after concluding that he is a patient, kind and tolerant man suitable to marry his daughter. Meanwhile, Wuraola’s bad behaviors were planned to test her suitors so as to get her a husband with good manners and temper. She was a lovely, caring and well behaved lady. Orunmila was glad that he heeded to the instructions of Olodumare and on the seventh day, he and Wuraola journey back to his town. Orunmila was welcomed and praised by his townspeople for his achievement. When they asked him about Wuraola, his wife, he responded, “Iya ti mo je ni Iwo” (my sufferings in Iwo) That was how wives became known as Iya-Iwo (sufferings in Iwo) and now Iyawo. Wow.. I'm actually an Igbo guy who loves and speaks Yoruba. Interesting history indeed. Most of us never knew this. Thanks bro. |
Romance › Re: Is It Too Late To Marry At 34 For A Man? What Age Is Best For Marriage? by Rickmann: 12:31am On Apr 29, 2020 |
whitelotus: A friend of mine, a man, just got engaged. He is 34.
On our "group of friends" WhatsApp group, someone mentioned that the guy is marrying too late. It started a whole debate. The guy getting married at 34 defended himself that he waited until he had money, as starting a family is no joke, financially.
Some people were arguing that one should just get married at 25 and everything will fall into place.
I got married at 30 and people on the group were also blasting me that I got married a bit late. I am a man also
What do you guys think?
Please, mature responses There is No particular age carved on stones as to when its suitable to get married.. Its true time waits for no one but then marriage should be done at one s time and convenience. I think we nigerians lay so much emphasis on it's ceremonial aspect and put aside its challenges that lay ahead which is the real thing. So there is absolutely nothing wrong in a guy hooking up at 34...its more or less the perfect timing if u ask me. Please note that its important for a guy to be comfortable before going into marriage considering the state of our country Nigeria..and if that ll take him longer to achieve, he had better take it so...trust me, no man wants to see his wife n kid suffer. |
