Hi guys,

Been awhile,

So I posted awhile back about being tempted to be paying pretty escorts here in Canada for sex, sadly something I thought was a one time thing, has now turn to become a habit , and I’ve really tried seeking for help to stop it. I’ve spent over $10,000 so far on escorts since 2023- date now.

It’s draining me physiologically, and I’ve confided in close friends and was advised to get married so I can have access to regular sex .

Just drowning now , I really need help . Feel so lost

What?

You’ll fabricate all lies to women so that they will “understand” your situation.

But you’ll train your kids with your pension and your wife will work so hard for you to stay erect.

Romance / Re: How I Was Embarrassed By An Olosho On Low Cut by Rickmann: 4:42pm On Mar 01
ChildOfDoom:
Hmm. Who would have thought that despite my standing in the society, I would stoop so low to embarrass myself at a brothel.

So it happened that I got some side deals in the office which gave me about 14000 naira. I thought I had arrived and decided to visit a brothel yesterday night

I had about 4300 in my account and 9800 cash. My plan was to use just 9000 naira maximum cash for two ladies and then take 800 naira change home.

I approached the first lady who charged 3000 naira. I wanted more. To help me cum as I rode her. I was charged extra 3000 to add romance and kiss. After I came, I was left with 3800 cash.

On going out, I met a new girl on low cut I needed to taste badly. She said she only takes 6000 and above and nothing less. But she promised to give me anyhow I wanted it. But she said it must be cash payment due to bad MTN network as her madam was not accepting transfer.

I gave her 3000 and promised to go withdraw the remaining 3000 to settle her. She held my small phone as guarantee.

After we lashed, I kept begging to do transfer. She refused o. She kept shouting 'my Toto nor be for transfer. Na only cash'. What saved me is that, the girls in the brothel knew me and tried to convince her I will pay. If I was a random guy, Dem for embarrass me

Just when I was thinking of how I will look for a POS that late to withdraw the balance 3000 for her and then manage the last 1300 in the account together with the 800 on me for feeding, a short girl with big navel who was on weed passed and asked me if I wanted to lash.

Foolish me followed her in with my miserable paper bag. I negotiated 2000. And climbed and pumped till I came. Now I was in a debt of 5000. 4300 in account and 800 cash. How was I going to eat if I paid it all

So I gave the big-navel girl 500 naira and held 300 change for bottle Pepsi and biscuit to recover my energy. I told her I would transfer the remaining 1500. I transferred 3500 from my account to the madam. 1500 for the short girl and 2000 for the low-cut babe. So I could survive with 800

She kept screaming, 'no be our agreement. Na 3000 remain and my Toto nor be for transfer'. The madam was not even around to confirm the transfer. I left the brothel in shame, telling her to hold my small phone till when we settle everything.

Thank God Dem nor hold me local. Fvck will soon put me in the same problem as betting

In a period of hardship and difficulty when every penny should be used properly, you choose to be stup!d? Omo, you should be found, tied and beaten 'Mexican drug cartel' style.

I read here on this platform when a young lad spent #300k on foodstuffs that even if bought from supermarket won't be more than #100k and she was claiming she bought it #300k. They deliberately inflate figures by themselves. Someone came to my office and I was asking him the price for his iron rods. While discussing, he received a call and the person at the other end told him price of tod has increased. Immediately, he added it to my price. I just told him to leave my office.

Nigerians are wicked. Devilish souls! They take delight in inflicting suffering upon themselves and blame others for their woes

Exactly.

When you have Foodco, Ace, Justrite and others, you know you have options...What is cheap in one will be dare in another.

Religion / Re: Another RCCG Fiasco by Rickmann: 12:30pm On Feb 29
lawani:
On February 27 2024, I was let in by Barbara Bush into more knowledge of assassination attempts on me. I used IFA to get the message from her. The attempt was in 2016 and by Enoch Adeboye.

Story

I was staying in the RCCG camp with my parents at the time. It was four years after my first psychiatric admission. A certain elderly couple older than my.parents named Pastor and Mrs Oduneye were staying next door and the woman especially was a frequent visitor to my Mum. According to IFA she had a vision and she told the vision to my Mum, the vision was that I their son might serve to bring down their Christian ministry and that there is a need to pray against such and my mother joined together with her in prayers and that was ongoing. My mother then told her younger sister Pastor Mrs Kolajo Odugbesan who also lived in the RCCG camp of the development. Mrs Odugbesan’s husband Pastor Abiodun Odugbesan is also a full time clergy of the RCCG. It was from Mrs Odugbesan that the news or information about the vision went from mouth to mouth and reached Enoch Adeboye who saw an opportunity in the situation. He swung into action via one of his connections in the underworld that is not a member of the RCCG, a man and they contacted the first son of Mrs Oduneye who is a civil servant based in Lagos via someone he regularly drinks beer with. The Mr Oduneye in question is not a member of the RCCG. He was told there is a need to kill someone living close to his mum who.is fighting.against the RCCG and living right there in the camp. He agreed and he charged them. He contacted his mum Mrs Oduneye and told her point blank that the mission is to kill me. He have her a small part of the amount he was paid and handed over the powdery poison to her that was to be used on me. His mum gave the poison to my mum saying it is a drug she needs to add to my food without telling me. She stated her reasons because according to IFA she is a Nurse, may be a psychiatric nurse. My mum took the poison from her but did not add it to my food though it was intercepted by the CIA.
The son of the Oduneyes used by Enoch Adeboye was killed later by beer poisoning as is customary with Enoch Adeboye. I remember when the man died and his parents reported the event to my parents saying his younger ones have gone to bury him.
On February 27, I messaged Barbara with the news upon finding it out from her and by the next day, I find out via IFA that Enoch Adeboye paid the Oduneyes one hundred million naira to silence them. He paid the money on February 28 2024.

All I know is most pastors have blood on their hands.
You wouldn't get to certain levels without stepping on toes.

Politics / Re: Money Collections: There Is No Difference Between Churches And Banks - Omokri C by Rickmann: 12:01pm On Feb 29
SojWORLDWIDE:

Ask yourself this question: is there much difference between a business, like Access Bank, First Bank, or UBA, and the average Nigerian Pentecostal/evangelical church?

These banks have branches; those churches have branches. The branches collect money from the public and funnel it to their headquarters.

These churches absorb money from their congregations and send it to their headquarters.

If you enter a bank branch and you don't deposit money, you become an immediate suspect.

If you enter a local church and you don't tithe or give an offering, in many cases, you are shamed, sometimes even ostracised.

Tithers are asked to stand up. Put their tithes above their heads. None of that is Scriptural or necessary. It is psychology. To subliminally validate them and invalidate non-tithers.

The bank branch collects money deposits from the public with the latest financial technology.

These church branches are the same. No difference. They have POS and direct deposit, and they can even give you change.

So, tell me, how do Nigerian Pentecostal churches, with few exceptions, differ from banks? Both of them operate under the same models.

Banks sell monetisation and make profits. These churches sell salvation and make profits. Banks have a chairman.

CLICK FOR MORE NEWS UPDATES HERE:   http://www.sojworldnews.com

They have their Daddy GO. Pentecostal Christianity is the most commercialised Christian denomination, and the Nigerian variant is just through the roof.

In terms of corporate governance structure, these banks have a far better structure than many of these churches, which GOs run with sometimes a dictatorial iron fist.

Some people may criticise me for making this statement. But I challenge you to attend a Nigerian Pentecostal church and count the number of times you hear the words Yeshua, Jesus, sin and character development, and the frequency with which you hear words like money, finances, or anything associated with funding.

Then, take account and ask yourself which words are used more frequently.

If we don't talk, who will speak? Muslims? Traditional African adherents? It is only your friend who can tell you your mouth smells. In many of these churches, it is tough to know where the founder's opinion ends and where scriptural doctrine begins.

Many Nigerians will lose their taste for this brand of Christianity if they can experience pure orthodox Christianity.

Honestly, I've never seen any uglier style in young ladies clothing.

But they seem to like to sew it for almost every wedding.

I think it's something for the bridal train or the maid of honor?

Nevertheless, I just hate the style with all my heart.

I've seen many colors and variations in the style but they all seem depressing to me.

Even on one of the prettiest girl I've ever known personally, I still don't find it appealing.

One thing you must know is this style of dress doesn't fit every girl.. perhaps you've been seeing it on slim girls. It's common knowledge that this particular design looks good on curvy girls. Also, the designer or tailor matters alot.

Sports / Re: I Was Threatened By NFF For Composing Song Celebrating Super Eagles - Austino by Rickmann: 12:24am On Feb 09
Wisdomkosi:
I Was Threatened By NFF Marketing Manager For Composing Song Celebrating Super Eagles - Austino Milado

An entertainer and realtor, Mr Austin Charles, popularly known as Austino Milado, has said that he was threatened by an official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in 2002 for composing an evergreen song to celebrate the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The popular song, “Super Eagles Carry Go” also known as “Walele” has been ruling the airwaves since 2002 when it was released for public consumption as it details some of the achievements of Nigerian footballers.

However, in an interview published on the social media pages of popular motivational speaker, entrepreneur and documentary filmmaker, Lucky Udu and compiled by Glonat Newsonline, on Wednesday, which had garnered over 1.3m views and over 6,000 comments on Facebook alone, Milado said he has not been appreciated or compensated by the NFF for his patrotism.

He said he had sent a copy of the music to the NFF in 2002, alongside a letter and followed up with phone calls and physical visits to the Glass House for acceptance, but that an official at the NFF, whom he identified as the Marketing Manager, now deceased, threatened him with lawsuit.

Milado said that the official said he did not get permission from them before using names of retired Super Eagles players to sing and would be sued for that if he persists in seeking for recognition from or adoption of the song by the NFF.

Ironically, since 2002, the song has been used by Nigerians as morale booster whenever the national team is playing, with the Super Eagles repeatedly making and posting videos of their dancing to the song at the ongoing 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.

He said: “I am supporting the Super Eagles because that’s my number one club. Anytime I close my eyes, I just want to sing for them, make people happy and also motivate the Super Eagles. However, I cannot start chasing after them. It’s not me that will ask them to invite me when they are having an event. What is driving me is patriotism, the ‘One Nigeria’ thing. It gives me joy to see the players vibing to the song. It lifts their spirits more and boost their morale. The song is motivational, which is why I did it in the first place.

“I did the song when players like Jay Jay Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo were beginning to fade because of age and people started referring to them as tired legs. The complaints were irritating as people were talking anyhow.

“It will give me joy if the Super Eagles can carry me along whenever they are going to tournaments. I do all I do because of love for my country and the Super Eagles. That’s why I go to the studio and do songs for them. It is not as if anyone is sponsoring me. Though people are requesting for new songs for the Super Eagles, it is not easy because it is all about money to record in the studio and do videos.”

He added: “I can’t reach out to the players, but it’s the NFF that is supposed to reach out to me. But let it not be as if I did not make effort. When I first made this song, I sent it to the Glass House. I called the then Marketing Manager of blessed memory now, but he even threatened me and was asking why I used the Super Eagles to sing without permission. That was in 2002, the year I released the song. I had approached the Glass House through the Marketing Manager for then to use the song as their official Super Eagles song, but the man was mad at me.

“He was saying how dare I use the brand of the Super Eagles without permission from them. I won’t say it is the NFF generally. I am not sure he did that on their behalf. He was the person in particular that took the decision, but he didn’t deter me. I continued to disturb him, so he got so angry and said he was going to sue me before the then Sports Writers Secretary, Joe Abu, now intervened. So, I moved on and stopped calling him.

“I felt I should actually be applauded for composing the song. I saw that everyone accepted the music, so I moved on. With my little exposure, I know that I can’t be sued because I am a patriotic Nigerian that composed a song for the national team. The painful thing is that if I didn’t go there, they would say I didn’t contact them. But I did. I actually sent the music, sent a letter and even called. What made me not to bother going there again or to where the Eagles are playing is that I have not been invited. I can’t go to where I am not invited. My own is that they should continue to perform well.

“I am into real estate now, but I still want to do a bit of entertainment, including music and movies because that is where I belong. You know, I did the Super Eagles Carry Go song with all my strength. I spent a lot of money on it. It was even difficult getting the materials used in the song. So, when I didn’t get what I was supposed to get to re-establish myself, I just moved on, hoping one day I will get money to do more songs. Though I got promises, but they didn’t materialize. If those promises materialized, I would have gotten more money.

“Entertainment costs money. That’s why I am doing other things to get money. I am looking forward to one day just receiving a phone call from the NFF or the government for reward for my patriotism. It hasn’t happened, so I am still looking forward to that.”

Politics / Re: Maybe It's Time For Nigerians To Start Calling Out Dangote. by Rickmann: 11:31am On Feb 04
grin
MsAllison:
Enough of these undeserved respects.
We deserve better from wicked capitalists.
Dangote does not deserve the respect some people are according to him and here are the reasons:
A country with abundant crude oil but imports petroleum products after exporting the crude oil.
For decades government have been trying to figure out how to get some refinery working so that at least we can start producing our petrol and save dollars used in importing these petrol.
You came as a knight in shining amour and told the government that you'll build a private refinery but you'll be needing loans and unlimited access to subsidized dollar at CBN subsidized rate.
Government was very happy that they gave you loans in dollars and sold dollars to you at 300 naira against the black market rate.
You got lots of tax waiver all at the expense of the poor masses who had hopes in your refinery.
They wanted to complain but the government told them to relax that your refinery will ease the pain and stress on the forex.
So in theory, your refinery will buy crude oil from our unlimited crude oil deposits, then refine it and sell to both local and international markets.
with this theoretically dollars will be saved and our currency will be strengthened.
Fast forward when you completed your refinery, everybody was happy, speculations on how your refinery will make the naira stronger again flooded the homepage of our dailies.
Today, our hopes are dashed after learning that you'll be importing Crude oil from the US.
Haaaa seriously ?
Then what's the essence of building this refinery since we've ended up in the same circle of importation again ?
So what's the difference between this and someone that imported an already refined petroleum?
Some persons are even defending this telling us how Dangote Refinery is a private investment.
Yes you're right but it was built with the help of the masses subsidized money and lots of tax waivers so he owes us some patriotism acts.
A selfless business man would have focused of refining Nigerian crude oil for some years, at least to ease the burden.
Now he has added to our burden because imagine Dangote hustling dollars with an average man that needed the dollars to import raw materials for his manufacturing company.
This is not fair to Nigerians and we must demand accountability from Dangote.
he owes us that because he has thrived on government support at the expense of the poor masses.
He must be the solution and not add to the problem.

Ms Alison.

True.
The monopoly he is enjoying from the FG has crippled this country is badly.

I have been with my girl for three years now ..was planning to get her engaged in a few months time when I experienced the shocking discovery of my lifetime..I still can't believe it but it's true. I gave my girlfriend 💯 percent trust and took care of her needs. She's in her final year in the University and I paid her tuition for the last two semesters. I paid for her rent and made sure she never lacked what to eat. In addition to this I give her monthly allowance. Last week I decided to visit her uninformed so I came around 11pm and knocked. She asked from inside who was there but I didn't respond. I heard the voice of a guy inside telling her to check maybe it's one of her neighbors. When she opened she was shocked to see me and it was obvious that she felt like disappearing. This lady was asking with a stern voice why I came in such an odd hour but I declined to respond to that all I did was making my way inside the room but she was blocking me. She has never done so but I know why she's doing this today so I asked why she don't want me to enter, she said she had her clothes stained with menstrual blood sorted out to be washed. I insisted she must bring them out so I will access the room but she was silent. I forcibly pushed in and the guy was right in the bed I bought for her. I just greeted him, looked at her with grave heartbreak and disappointment on my face. She has been calling begging and has been messaging me but I didn't respond. It's over between us. Relationship is only for the strong.

Nigerian girls don't value good guys, they just pretend to.
Love them at ur own peril.

Politics / Re: Richard Idowu Was Shot With Gun Laced With Charm – Mother by Rickmann: 11:07am On Feb 03
TruthsFM:
My Son Was Shot With Gun Laced With Charm – Mother Of PDP Stalwart Killed In Ejigbo

MRS Abigail Idowu, the mother of Richard Idowu, popularly known as Ade-Oriokin, a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who was shot dead last Saturday in Ejigbo, Osun State, has revealed how she warned her son from joining politics.

The grieving mother stated that her late son was shot with a gun that had been laced with charm.

OSUN DEFENDER learnt that the young politician was shot after a meeting at a private residence of Prince Eniola Oyeyode, a son of the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode, who was marking his 50th anniversary on the throne.

The incident, which occurred between 8:00 and 8:30pm last Saturday, immediately threw the community into mourning and led to tension among the residents.

OSUN DEFENDER learnt that Idowu was also part of the coronation anniversary, from where he was summoned to a meeting by Oyeyode at his residence located along Inisa Road in Ejigbo.

According to an eyewitness who preferred anonymity, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Ayodele Asalu, and one other person identified as Mr. Timothy were also part of the meeting.

Narrating how the incident happened, a Personal Assistant to the deceased, Afiz Lawal, who said the incident happened in his presence, explained: “Immediately after the coronation party, we were about to start coming to Osogbo when Prince Eniola, son of Ogiyan, told us to go to his house along Inisa road in Ejigbo for a brief meeting. Those who attended the meeting included Hon. Asler (Ayodele Asalu) and one Hon Timothy.

“When the meeting ended, they all dispersed and were entering their vehicles. I heard Prince Eniola saying, release, asking a local hunter there on the premises to release gunshots into the air. Unfortunately, instead of firing into the air, he shot towards the ground. And that was how Hon Richard Idowu was hit on the leg, and he immediately fell.

“Before we could get him to the hospital, he had already lost so much blood and there is no good hospital in Ejigbo. He gave up at a private hospital in Ejigbo. The incident happened between 8:00 and 8:30pm on Saturday. He was a PDP chieftain and a lecturer based in the United States of America.”

Asked if the incident could be regarded as a case of misfiring, Lawal further said, “It may be planned or accidental, but I just narrated how the incident happened because I was at the scene. His remains have been deposited at the morgue of UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.”

Reacting to the loss of her son, Mrs Idowu stated that the death was not ordinary, calling on the government to get to the root of the matter.

The bereaved mother who spoke in a four minutes video obtained by OSUN DEFENDER yesterday said he has always discouraged the son from joining politics.

“I have earlier warned him from going into politics, and I encouraged him to be a philanthropist. I was totally against his political moves.

“I was in Lagos when the news came to me on Saturday, his elder sister came to break the news that Richard has been shot at a meeting he attended. I was shocked and asked what he did wrong.

“We left the city to Osun. When we get to Osogbo, we were told he has been taken to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital that his remains would be deposited at the morgue.

“But I told them not to take him to the mortuary because he was shot in the leg. I got to know that it was not an ordinary gun that was shot at him. It has been laced with charm.

“He fell on the ground immediately and only spoke two words according to those with him. He only shout “My leg, My leg” and he was rushed to the hospitals. He didn’t tell me anything before he died.

“I have never witnessed such incident in my life. I was also born in that town and gave birth to him there as well. His father is battling with stroke for the past eight years and he goes to the hospital for treatment twice in a week. Richard is the one footing the bill.

“I urge Nigerians to help us by unraveling the misery behind his death. The government should also investigate the matter and get to its root.”

However, Oyeyode, the convener of the meeting has been arrested by the police.

Politics / Re: Nigerians Decry Rising Cost Of Living by Rickmann: 12:32pm On Feb 02
iwaeda:
Citizens across Nigeria have expressed concern over the rising prices of essential commodities such as rice, flour, sugar and cement. This is just as the naira continues to suffer depreciation, thereby reducing the purchasing power of the people.

Investigations by our correspondents in Kano, Kwara, Ebonyi, Oyo, and Lagos states as well as Abuja revealed challenging situations for various groups of people, with some residents resorting to prayers while others calling on the government to take decisive control measures.

Kano

In Kano, it was gathered that a 50kg bag of locally milled rice, which sold at N47,700 early January, is now selling at between N58,500 and N60,000 depending on the brand, while a 50kg bag of flour, which was sold at N35,500 early January is now N40,000.

Similarly, a 50kg bag of sugar at Singer Market is now selling at N73, 000 as against N62, 000 sold in early January.

A bag of cement, which was N5, 500 in the beginning of January 2024, rose to N7, 300 as of Thursday.

Naira gains ground, sells for 1,400/$ at black market

According to a civil servant and a father of five, Malam Shehu Usman, the current situation is beyond explanation. He described the price hikes as something that needed divine intervention.

“We have to turn to God and seek his forgiveness, because what is happening goes beyond human explanation. Imagine an increase of N10, 300 within 30 days on a 50kg bag of rice and no one is saying anything?

“To many of us, life has never been so difficult than what we are going through presently. Many households cannot afford three meals in a day,” he said.

Another resident, Isah Bello, said his major concern is on how people will cope with the situation during Ramadan when Muslims observe fast. He stressed the need for the authorities to do the needful before things get out of control.

Abuja

A bag of flour has hit N44, 000 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Daily Trust investigation revealed.

Lamenting the situation, a caterer at Wuse Market, Abuja, Mrs Kafayat Musa said her profit had reduced drastically.

“Just last week, it (flour) was sold for N41, 000. I no longer make much profit, despite increasing the cost of egg rolls, doughnuts, among others. The government should please do something,” she said.

Investigations by our correspondent yesterday across major markets in the nation’s capital also revealed that a bag of sugar now costs between N72,000 and N75,000, as against about N60,000 and N62,000 early this year.

Rice now sells for between N55, 000 and N61, 000 for a 50kg bag, depending on the area of purchase. The same quantity sold at between N45, 000 and N55, 000 earlier this year.

Similarly, a bag of cement has hit N6, 500 in Abuja. Last week, it was sold for between N5, 200 and N5, 400.

Kwara

Many distributors and retailers who spoke to our correspondent in Kwara, where cement is sold at N6, 200 lamented scarcity of the commodity.

According to Hajia Lateefat Abdullahi, owner of Orire Cement Trading Company: “It has been difficult getting supply from distributors to satisfy customers in Ilọrin.”

Speaking on the issue, a major distributor, Mr Olatunji Ayantola, attributed the sharp increase in the price of cement to several factors.

“What happened before were speculations, market fluctuation and inflation. Initially, there was scarcity due to poor loading from the companies over the issue of gas, which reduced delivery and created the surge we were battling with before the increments,” he said.

Lagos

In Lagos, Daily Trust observed that a 50kg bag of foreign rice was sold for between N65, 000 and N70, 000 while the local rice goes for N65, 000. 10kg of Semovita was sold for N11, 500 at Iponri Market, while a paint bucket of beans goes for N13, 500.

It was also gathered that a bag of sugar is now sold for N63, 000.

Further investigations revealed that the prices were almost the same in Port Harcourt, River State; Ibadan, Oyo State and Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, among others.

Mrs Peace Saviour, who owns a restaurant in Lagos, lamented low patronage by customers as a result of the hike in price of commodities and the low purchasing power of citizens across the country.

‘Everything has gone high,” she said.

“Maggi moved from N700 to N1, 200 per pack and Spaghetti is N750. We are not making any gain; we are just struggling to feed the family. The money will go towards buying things (family’s essentials),” she said.

She revealed that she has reduced the quantity of food she sells to her customers, calling on the government to salvage the plight of the people.

“Instead of increasing the price again, we reduce the quantity. People are not eating to get satisfied. I don’t have many customers like before. A plate of food I was selling for N300 is now N800.

“The government should bring down the price of things. They should open borders. What we are producing in Nigeria is not enough; when things were brought from across the borders, things were affordable,” she said.

An apprentice, Ajayi Oluwafemi, said it has become unbearable to survive in Nigeria as the cost of living keeps going high while workers are poorly paid by both government and private organisations.

“Nigeria has become something else. If I have my way to get out of this country, I will not come back again. The country is full of stress. The government has failed the people,” he said.

In Ebonyi, some residents in Abakaliki, the state capital, said the rising cost of food items in the market is because of the hike in the price of petrol by the federal government.

A resident, Mr David Eze blamed the government for increasing the cost of a litre of petrol from N270 to N650, thereby affecting the cost of transportation of the goods.

Another trader, Mrs Chogozie Agu, who deals in provisions and other food items, urged the government to eradicate task forces on food items.

He said they extort money from the trucks and the drivers on highways, thus leading to the increases in the cost of goods.

Tame inflation, tackle insecurity — LCCI

The President/Chairman of Council, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Gabriel Idahosa, urged the government to adopt prudent fiscal policy measures and investment-friendly tax policies that work in tandem with the efforts of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to tame inflation.

Idahosa, who disclosed this in an address on the state of the economy, said there is also a need to improve security on the farmlands to boost food security.

“On agriculture sector growth, we urge the federal government to improve security and intensify the implementation of the national agricultural extension policy with focus on improved and relevant agricultural technologies. The LCCI recommends that the government consider fast-tracking the movement of policing from the exclusive list to the concurrent list. This will ensure effective policing of the nooks and crannies of our communities including the farmlands,” he said.

We’ll lay all our cards before FG – Labour

Reacting to the development, the leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), said it would lay all its cards before the federal government during the collective bargaining meeting it is about to enter after the formal inauguration of a 37-man committee.

The national treasurer of the NLC, Comrade Ambali Olatunji, said that the organised labour might not accept N200, 000 minimum wage it earlier negotiated for because of high prices of goods in the market.

He said, “Our own is that when we go to the negotiation table, we will lay all the cards on the table. When we were demanding N200, 000 minimum wage, dollar was at the rate of between N600 and N750. Today, the dollar has increased to between N1, 400 and N1, 500.

“So, we have to go back to our own round table through the technical session and arrive at an acceptable commensurate living wage for Nigerians using a comparative analysis for economic indices of Nigeria and others.”

Official statistics have shown that inflation has been rising in Nigeria for several months. The rate increased to 28.92% in December, from 28.20% in November, 2023.

The December rate is a near 30-year high.

I dont count that as disgrace. Just security doing their work to verify first

Even Mikel Obi was once bounced(not allowed entrance) in a club in Naija for wearing short...

Does that reduce the big boy swag?! No ofc

You are right though but I used the word 'disgraced' cos it won't happen to him in Nigeria. He following Davido about just cos he is married to Chioma is belittling.

Storyland! Frozen vegetables options you buy at the stores are what? Rubber? undecided

Are meat, fish , chicken or turkey vegetables?
Even these frozen foods lose their nutritional value after long period of freezing.

It's really not about the constant power. It's about the life span of what you are storing, it's health benefits and quality after a given period. Vegetables are perishables and are meant to be used as it comes.

Celebrities / Re: Yul Edochie Holds First Online Service, Narrates How He Was Called Into Ministry by Rickmann: 7:08am On Jan 31
SirManuel:

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, who recently launched his online ministry, conducted the inaugural church service on his YouTube channel, True Salvation Ministry.

During the virtual gathering held on Sunday, Yul delved into his spiritual journey, sharing his divine calling and the moment he felt God’s direct guidance. Reflecting on instances where others recognized his potential for ministry, he revealed that a life-altering car accident on the Ore road was the turning point that led him to fully embrace his calling.

Following a narrow escape from a fatal outcome, Yul described a transformative experience where a compelling voice urged him to dedicate his life to serving God and humanity. This revelation marked the beginning of his “second life,” distinct from his previous pursuits.

Despite initially aiming for a physical church with a sizable congregation, Yul disclosed that God intervened, guiding him to start humbly and utilise the resources at his disposal.

He said in part, “As far back as 2012, 2013, I’ll meet a couple of men of God, pastors and they will always tell me that you are destined to be a minister of God, you can’t run away from it, you are going to be a minister.

“As time went by I started to hear the voice myself like anywhere I am, most of the time when I’m in an enclosed place, just me, I’ll be hearing that voice telling me you are going to work for God.”

Yul Edochie announced last story week the launch of his Christian programme, True Salvation Ministry, on YouTube, where he will deliver sermons.
