SmartKitty: LOL!!! You even don't know who are you talking to. This topic is about US VISA and I am not discussing with you about Nigeria or any other country and how much ignorance is in each country. To me you are an example of an ignorant insisting to bring to US VISA discussion your blah-blah-blah not related to the subject.
And yes, even in America, we have a bunch of ignorants as you and what makes me laugh is many immigrants begging for to be here and coming with this hating attitude, living in America and hating it here but not returning to the beautiful Nigeria or any other country. Poor people, they are depressed just because they are not becoming billionaires here in 1 day. I deal with people like you every day and all I can say, read more and educate yourself, international experience may help too if you learn to respect other countries and culture, not only your own. Uneducated people tend to hate and criticize everything foreign. Good luck. Go back and read what you typed before you reply me..smh |

Travel › Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by rinzaugustine: 7:43am On Jan 16, 2020 |
SmartKitty: Totally true. As for immigration services taking care of kids by a NO authorized to work alien even for free, it's this alien takes the job of an American or a legal resident because in case if there is no grand ma, the parents pay the day care or a nanny. It generates the internal revenue. However, if the grand ma is a legal resident, she can take care of her grand kids for free or being paid.
If your relatives are visiting the U.S. to take care of you and the baby, you would not be hiring the services of the daycare provider. Therefore, you are considered depriving the U.S. workers of their work. Working on a tourist visa is not allowed as your relatives are babysitting which is considered work. Babysitting is considered a job and the baby sitter is considered to be working, whether the person is getting paid for it or not. In other words, the grandmother is working for free which is not allowed. If your relatives are helping you to take care of the housework, you are depriving the U.S. workers of their cleaning job. If the intention of the relatives is to indeed help with babysitting and the housework, many of them would end up extending their stay and would want to come frequently and stay excessively, all of those factors are against the actual intentions of the visitors visa and the consular officers already know this. That is why it is a bad idea to mention pregnancy as the reason to visit the U.S. The consular officer is looking for improving the U.S. economy and people spending money on tourism and shopping by the visitors, rather than loss to the economy in terms of babysitting and maid work and are also concerned about unauthorized work. Stop giving people false information here .Women are granted visas daily to US to be with their grandchildren |

justwise: There are a lot of reliable agents you can use to send money to your Nigerian bank account within minutes, Azimo will charge you a flat rate of about £1.40 no matter the amount you are sending and you get your money within 10-20 mins or less.
Sendwave charges you nothing and your money gets into your Nigeria account in less than 5mins.
You also have transferwise and worldremit. All of them have far better rate than western union and faster.
I have used every single one of them without any issue.
All you need to do is to download their apps and set it up. Are they in US or only U.K.? |

MackyNaija: Thank you for the info. I currently work in a company that does business related to LMC0's product line so getting a job there wouldnt be difficult IF I want to move there.
My current plan is to increase my relevant work experience and only move for Senior Engineering roles. Growing within most times na hard work, jumping ship makes more sense.
As for pay... From what I have been gathering on Gl4ssdoor, I THINK they pay similar to or less than I currently earn - big name company doesn't Usually translate to big salary except for the FANGs. Most times Americans do not like opening up as per what they earn and from my experience Lockheed Martin is one of the top companies that gets a chunk of contracts from the military and the military gets a very big funding from the US government, but I can’t fault your judgment...Good luck |

Penalty is visa approve being revoked. The reason is any money sent to Nigeria never comes back,so if the person gets denied that 40k ($115) you sent is not coming back |

What is the retirement age in USA? If you came back from USA after 33yrs with nothing to start a life in Nigeria how long will you live to make? If you were legal or worked during those 33 years you will be entitled to social security monthly,401k/TSP Medicare etc and those monthly pay checks would go a long way in a country like Nigeria where standard of living is very cheap compared to US |

It killed one of my dad's friends back in the 80s,killed one of Nigeria's former goalkeeper from my hometown who contracted it and passed to the wife rendering their children orphans, ditto another well known lawyer from Agukwu who lived in Onitsha..the children are also orphans today.Sadly those people in their lifetimes may had doubted the deadly havoc Hiv is capable of wrecking by trusting the outside partner who gave them the disease. There is the remedy of anti retroviral drugs somebody can take daaily until they die for the mitigatory effect they tend to give but there is a downside that if a cycle of treatment is missed it will come back in full force and eventually kill the person within weeks.I am sadly concerned about the men in the ashawo sexuality section ,a lot of whom have committed girlfriends and wives but still engage in dangerous sexual activity with other women..smh .I hope they come to their senses and not ruin their families by rendering their innocent children orphans |

lionlee216: I knew I'll be spending most of my day indoor so I had to invite my 2 bros for area that I have a very good relationship to come have a drink at the bar with me and brought one young guy(his wife's lil bro). I got two wine(Andre and Hennessy) as gifts and I know I won't drink it hence the reason I invited them. Kindly note that they arrived 11am. I took them to the restaurant first to get some food.
When they saw the food they want and the price, the second guy said refused right away and said "This is equivalent to my monthly salary, I wont spend the worth of my monthly salary on food". I was so heartbroken. They opted for 3 plates of assorted pepper soup and asked for 3 drinks of Monster. When they walked with me to the private lounge, on citing the Hennessy, they started re arranging the bottles on the table and taking pictures with them. I could see the excitement on their face.
One of them said, This will be the first time of drinking Hennessy this year. I work so hard so as to take care of my family and when I feel like drinking dry gin or Alcohol, both of us will go a local place to drink herbs prepared with Alcohol. That's how we enjoy our lives.
At that point, I started believing the situation of things. You don make Nigeria begin hungry me again with pics of that food +having friends hang around you, ride on okada or keke, drink without fear of DUI..Enjoy |

tiptoe1: You're taking about a correctional officer, right? I'll like to know if the job is safe cause I remember someone in franknetter's thread who quit that job cause some set of inmates beat up his co-worker The problem is usually from the inmates. You have to be street smart to deal with them.If you are not careful they might lure you into crime that will put you in jail ie a packet of cigarette is less than $7 in the stores but you can smuggle it in and sell for a minimum of $100 ,they can jump on you if you are too harsh on them or too close to them...The best thing is to be very very alert when dealing with them because most of them have very deep mental problems.Afterall what would make a normal person to intentionally engage in crime in a country where the government had taken care of your most immediate needs |
