If you want to run a friendly with Usain Bolt they will let you start like 10 second before he starts. But if you blink once he will be right next to you. You don’t have the time in the world to fool around when you are up against lightning Bolt.
It is the same when competing in real life against the rest of the world. they are Usain Bolt and we are the guy with the beer belly. The only way to come out close is to out work them, out pace them and out maneuver them. Unfortunately, African don’t get this.
https://www.opinions.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/llll-670x447.jpg
If the Europeans and Asians are working 10 hours daily, Africans want to do forced labour of 3-4 hours. For us it is all about the money. Africans are some of the most busy people in the diasporas and yet some of the poorest because they don’t understand how things works and most of them don’t want to. They don’t know how to Create Wealth, Keep Wealth and Multiply Wealth. Like I wrote – busy. That was deliberate. Africans are mostly busy pursuing money and at the end they remain poor.
No nation ever gets rich by pursuing money. peopled don’t know this. The British got rich by exploring the world and getting whatever they could find along the way. The Americans got rich by helping Europe to defeat NAZI Germany during world war 2. The Chinese are getting insanely rich by making things the world needs cheaply. What do African do? Nothing. Right now, we are literarily contributing nothing to the world even the minerals we have is dugged out of the ground by foreigners and we will ask them how much they got out. This needs to change because this is keeping all Aficans poorer.
The effort you put at something will always pay off even when it seems to take forever.
I walked the last five years like insanely in Nigeria Agriculture, I didn’t make it in Nigeria, But I didn’t go there to make money. I went to serve people and provide them food. Today, I am talking with presidents of nations to help them grew Agriculture in their respective countries. From fighting to get access to 100 hectares in Nigeria to now having access to over 50,000 hectares with huge potentials. Duty free imports and many other advantages.
Five years from now, I would have added over $100 millions to my asset just in Agriculture and I was not out to make money in the frist place. People will say he was lucky. No luck involved. There is a simple principle in life that says, It takes 5 to 10 years for anything you are doing to become real but you have to do it everyday and outperform every other person. How many People do you know that are doing onething for 10 years even when it is not working?
I out ran, out maneuver and out paced the competition. If you want to succeed big time there is only one way to do it. You have to have work ethics as if you are competing against Usain Bolt because in reality you are competing against Usain bolt of this world.
The Europeans are Usain Bolt, The Chinese are Usain Bolt and the Europeans are Usain Bolt. So what are you going to do about it?

Most Americans will never do those kind of jobs for those wages.Deporting them means that employers will be forced to raise wages to like 14-15$ per hour for Americans to do such hard job and the end result is prices of everything going up and if the market is not strong enough to contain the high prices, another inflation might hit this country. If that happens[God forbid]the prices of shares will crash, people will default and loose their mortgages and the rich men will buy up everything from the poor so that when people vote in democrats again and economy improves ,those men must have made a whole lot of money in profit. That's one of the ways people become rich in this country |

Nairaland General › Re: 5 Easy Ways To Become Self-dependent In Life by rinzaugustine: 3:00am On Jun 20, 2018 |
BiafranBushBoy: Nobody owes you anything, it is up to you to fight for yourself in life. Depending on people all the time would eventually make you to be seen as a pest. Self-dependent people are respected people in the society. Not only that, being self-dependent is an important factor that helps to make a relationship stronger. In fact, self-dependent people live happily and survive in any society they find themselves compared to those that depend on others for a living.
However, some people find it difficult to live alone without their parents, spouse, family, friends. In this case, it is not only based on financial dependency alone, decision making is not excluded. There are several challenges that are faced by those that are dependent. The major challenge is that they have no full control of their life.
You will agree with me that taking full control of your life is as a result of you become a self-dependent. It doesn’t only give you total control of your life but also make you become a happier person in the society. I will explain 5 ways on how you can become self-dependent. In a relationship, you don’t need to depend fully on your partner for a living. In fact, it is not reasonable to keep requesting for money, what-to-do, help from your partner every time you are in need of it. You just need to read this and practice it for you to become self-dependent within some months.
https://topwritersden.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/self-dependence.jpg
The following are ways to become self-dependent.
1. Acquire a high paying skill
The first way to become self-dependent is to acquire high paying skill. With no doubt, it is difficult to see someone with high paying skills to be dependent on somebody else. However, for you to be able to become self-dependent; you need to get yourself a job. If you find it difficult to buy something on your own, it simply means you are financially dependent. Nevertheless, you need to work on yourself by learning skills that pay you high. Truth be told, you need to further your education or better still learn skills that are lucrative. If you don’t, there is no how you won’t be relying on your parents, partners, friends for money.
This is one of the best place to learn a skill in Nigeria that would shape your life forever.
Leave Your Comfort Zone
You need to leave your comfort zone if you want to become self-dependent. There are some people that are still leaving with their parent, they fully depend on them for a living. You need to struggle with others in the labour market by leaving your comfort zone. This is another way to be self-dependent.
Meet people of like minds
The people you meet with can also determine either you will be self-dependent or not. However, for you to be self-dependent you need to surround yourself with people that motivate you. In fact, for you to become self-dependent you need motivation from serious-minded people. The type of friends you are moving with can also influence your lifestyle. Take for instance, if your friends keep giving you all that you need without teaching you how to become self-dependent. Hence, you need to meet with friends that motivate you to be independent.
Learn every day and be informative
Truth be told, if you get the rightful information it will be difficult for you to be dependent on other people. Information is known to be powerful. However, information equipped you with the ability to make to decide on your own and also exercise your self-dependent. Always endeavour to get the information and be updated on what is new.
Make decisions yourself
Another way to make yourself to be independent is to learn how to make a decision by yourself. Take a bold step to decide on what you want and try to solve any problem on your own without any assistant. There are times that you will need assistance but don’t let that stop your decision making.
To become self-dependent in life is a choice. Unless you want to continue begging for crumbs from people who have established themselves, you have to take charge of your life now!

Revoking of citizenship can only be done if evidence shows it was obtained by fraud...it will also need the intervention of a judge to revoke such citizenship. Trump has set up a task force through USCIS comprising of mostly lawyers to look at how the passports of around 20 million naturalized american citizens can be revoked. Some have had their passports revoked for the simplest of things like a lady that didn't admit she was gay in her 1989 application,an indian for an intentional mistake on his first name .. and so many other very minor infractions.Read The New Yorker of 18th JUne 2018 with the title In America,NATURALIZED citizens no longer have an assumption of permanence |

Ubijus1: This is the touching life story of Oba Ovonramwen Nogbaisi who ruled the Benin empire before he was dethroned and exiled by the British.
Oba Ovonramwen Nogbaisi (ruled 1888 – 1897), also called Overami, was the Oba (king) of the Kingdom of Benin up until the British punitive expedition of 1897.
Born in circa 1857, he was the son of Oba Adolo he took the name Ovonramwen Nogbaisi at his enthronement in 1888, every Oba took a new name at his coronation, the name translates as Ovonramwen meaning “The Rising Sun” and Nogbaisi meaning “which spreads over all.”
At the end of the 19th century, the Kingdom of Benin had managed to retain its independence and the Oba exercised a monopoly over trade which the British found irksome. The territory was coveted by an influential group of investors for its rich natural resources such as palm-oil, rubber and ivory. The kingdom was largely independent of British control, and pressure continued from figures such as Vice-Consul James Robert Phillips and Captain Gallwey (the British vice-Consul of Oil Rivers Protectorate) who were pushing for British annexation of the Benin Empire and the removal of the Oba.
A British invasion force headed by Phillips set out to overthrow the Oba in 1896. The force’s weapons were hidden in baggage, with troops disguised as bearers. Phillips plan was to gain access to Ovonramwen’s palace by announcing that he intended to negotiate. Ovonramwen’s messengers issued several warnings not to violate Benin territorial sovereignty, claiming he was unable to see Phillips due to ceremonial duties. Having been warned on several further occasions on the way, Phillips sent his stick to the Oba, a deliberate insult designed to provoke the conflict that would provide an excuse for British annexation.
Phillip’s expedition was ambushed and all but two were killed. Subsequently a military operation against Benin in 1897 led by Harry Rawson resulted in the burning of Benin City, the destruction and looting of the royal palaces, and the deaths of untold numbers of its inhabitants. Although the British had orders to hang the Oba, Ovonramwen escaped, but returned to the city to formally surrender on 5 August 1897. When Ovonramwen returned to the city, after six months spent in evading capture in the forest, he was richly dressed and laden with coral beads and accompanied by an entourage of seven hundred to eight hundred people.
He attempted to escape exile by offering Consul General Ralph Moor 200 puncheons (barrels) of oil worth £1500 [£183000.00 today] and to disclose where his 500 ivory tusks were buried [today’s value: Up to £275,625,500.00] however this offer was dismissed as Mr. Moor had already discovered them.
Ovonramwen was exiled to Calabar with his two of his wives, Queen Egbe and Queen Aighobahi, and died there around the turn of the new year in 1914. Ovonramwen was eventually buried in the grounds of the royal palace in Benin City. He was succeeded by his first son and legitimate heir, Prince Aguobasimwin, who ruled as Eweka II.

Infact new york is one of the few states that allow you to be called to bar after you atleast have an LLM to your name.which literally take a year or less to complete. not all lawyers go to court, some work in compliance which means making sure your company is in compliance with whatever law that bounds the industry that company operates in I.E a pharmaceutical company would have a compliance department to make sure they are in compliance with all laws in that industry Lol...a lot of misinformation you are giving people here. You dont have a right of audience as a counsel in any court here in the US with an LLM or even a phd in law even if you obtained it from havard except you pass the bar exams of the state you intend to practice in.Foriegn trained attorneys are eligible to write the bar in New york, california, maine, delaware, georgia, texas, california ,alabama, wisconsin, maryland and some few other states subject to some conditions |

theamerican: This is why I always prefer to get answers from people who have first hand experience in the system they speak about. You won't hear me talking so much about Canada, Australia or Europe because I don't live there or know a lot about them. My statement still stands.
Depending on someone's life situation, you can retire anytime. The 60-something age of retirement is only about benefits. Not everyone cares about that. 70+ year olds work in pizza delivery and the likes, there are old senators like John McCain, who's working even at 80 years old.
Regarding parenting and religion, we have differing opinions and since it's a sensitive topic, I'll let you go with what works for you. Americans practice religion with freedom and wisdom. It's an entirely different society to Nigeria, religion-wise. The retribution to the nation theory doesn't fly in this country. You can hardly scare anyone here with sins and hell fire or punishment for tithes and the likes. They fear punishment from the authorities/government over the one from any god.
On loans and mortgages, I insist, they are optional. People talk like loans, taxes, debts and mortgages are the end of a person's life. They're not. Pay your debt and live your life. There are a million and one reasons for choosing not to be a homeowner like cost of Insurance, maintenance, commitment, etc. It's not always about mortgage. You can still buy a house with bad credit. Being a landlord in this country doesn't make you a demigod like in Nigeria. It's a matter of preference, really. A renter has the full rights to a home during the period of the lease and can even punish a landlord for defaulting. Personally, I'm not into buying a home for now to live in, buying a home for me now would be for business. Maybe later, that'd change.
The U.S. is a country of opportunities. Your life path depends most times on the decisions you make. If you live within your means and don't bother yourself with things outside your league, you'll be happy. Exactly. Most of the people coming to argue here know nothing about America except what they read online mostly written by Americans. Americans are one of the most pampered people in the entire universe that a 62 year old American may not have experienced the stress and suffering a 21 year old Nigerian back home is currently experiencing.A country where people voted a cartoon characater to be president. Any immigrant that doesn't succeed within 5-10 years of coming here should have himself/herself squarely to blame |

My mama prayer about me not going to war was answered
Bros, i tried and tried. So, i tested + to TB from a routine check. i was shocked. I did xray and it showed i dont have TB. Dr said i have no worries. Told recruiter i tested + to TB but don't have it (my mistake should i waited till MEPS check up) na there my wahalah start.
PS: i found out a lot of US being from Nigeria most likely will test positive to TB (letent) but do not actually have TB. Your recruiter is a bum or he may have been influenced by the way trump demonises immigrants. Yes you could have gone to MEPS directly, though they might raise the issue as per new immigrant and you would just have shown them a copy of your uscis form I-6963(report of medical examination) which you submitted the original during your adjustment of status application. That document shows you have received immunization for TB.You can still join the national guard or army reserve with a different recruiter. They have the same benefits as the army and the former does not go to war while the latter rarely rarely do or if you are itching for active duty action ,you can join the navy or airforce as you will not run into the risk of direct combat with these two but avoid marines at all costs. Those guys are specifically trained to kill and overrun enemy lines during battles. Most of them are majorly fresh from high school and do not know much about the importance of human life when they are in battle Lol |
