The men that helped him gather those block votes like kwakwanso, oyinlola, atiku, saraki, kashamu etc are no longer with him and a lot of people who voted for him are now disenchanted with him for not being able to fufill his electoral promises of uplifting their standard of living
Why is trump refusing to visit nigeria and even his wife avoided a country with the highest number of black people and we are not making an issue of it.Must we continue to be a slave to the white man forever.Think with your head for once
My friend once told me jokingly that American movies should also show where people are working in America instead of only glamour.OP if you are actually thinking you are coming here to become rich and even like dangote, then you are a comedian. You work so hard in western world to be able to pay for your living unlike what we have back home.Everything is very expensive, you start life with a demeaning menial job because your degree is not accepted and nobody will give you a dollar. If you borrow student loan to read nursing you will end up not being able to complete the interest alone in the next 20 years.Within a a few years that bubbly, gangly and excited nigerian man in you will die and you will become a carcass of your old self.Nobody wants to listen to your life misery here like in Nigeria...Don't mess up the good opportunity life gave you for the uncertainty of the western world because the grass always looks greener on the other side...which is not the reality
wemmyklein: Your number one problem will be your accent, then your degree is from Nigeria. No judge want to listen to you when you have a thick accent that will be difficult for him or her to understand. Nobody want to hire you to represent them on a case, I am talking from experience. The only thing most foreign people with a law degree do is to become an IMMIGRATION LAWYER.
My Experience: I went to court to dispute a ticket giving to me by a cop. When they called my name which was difficult for the person calling it I knew I am in trouble, then as soon as I open my mouth to talk the judge ordered everybody in the room to keep quite and said we have someone with accent here. I didn't even talk for 2mins he just told me to go and pay the damn ticket..
2nd experience: A friend of mine lost a case because she hired a Nigerian man to represent her in court. Accent!Accent!Accent! Most of our guys here with law degree from Nigeria are mostly into immigration cases.
Think about it.
Lol you are most probably in the south and its even worse in the bible areas of mississipi, alabama etc .In the North ,they hear our accent very clearly
benben1000: Law is the worst degree one can ever get especially in Nigeria and Africa. All of my lawyer friends regret ever getting this degree. They are one of the most hungry people in Nigeria...
Teaser4: you think the dude is white lmao... nL is a faceless forum, if you have problems with the republican folks, I'm sure they are around you over there, just walk up to one and vent your anger on the fellow. smh, some people go dey form Goliath on social media, whereas in real life they can't kill a fowl. its a free world... keep ranting...
continue wasting your time on online travel thread
OyinbowithaTan: Democrats are so hate filled you can't register it. No scale. Violence murder robbery all of it. Republicans are law abiding suburbans.
You are an animal for bringing your racist ideology to a black thread.Go and find a white forum to defend racism.George bush snr and Junior are the highest ranking republicans alive today but they have never supported the bigoted slowpoke in the white house and an animal like you who I am sure has burnt his fake Nike shoes is coming to a black forum to defend racism. Shame on you and your parents worthless white boy
OyinbowithaTan: Can you prove that Donald is a racist? Racists come in all political forms. As an example the Democrats are the party of slavery, KKK, Jim Crow, segregation. The Republicans fought a war to end slavery, then passed 13th 14th 15th Amendment and always pushed civil rights legislation.
From your moniker oyinbo..bla..bla bla you are either white or a white stooge but if are are black then your mother is a dog..yep.That's how trump view the shameless black women who follow him
lanrexdo: NINETEEN out of 20 women admit lying to their partners or husbands, a survey on attitudes to truth and relationships has found. Eighty-three per cent owned up to telling "big, life-changing lies", with 13 per cent saying they did so frequently.
Half said that if they became pregnant by another man but wanted to stay with their partner, they would lie about the baby’s real father.
Forty-two per cent would lie about contraception in order to get pregnant, no matter the wishes of their partner.
And an alarming 31 per cent said they would not tell a future partner if they had a sexual disease: this rises to 65 per cent among single women.
In the poll of 5,000 women for That’s Life! magazine, 45 per cent said they told "little white lies" most days. The favourite untruth was "of course you don’t look fat", with "these shoes were only 10" in second place.
women tell lies everyday. The man is either a mug or don't know anything about women.Believe them at your own peril
Backfornow: What I will say about Asian immigrants specifically Indians and Singhs in my own personal observations are.. 1. They are coming here with money. 2. They get on one accord. 3. They are resourcing within their own communities. For example, At my clinic, we do the physicals, drug testing, and paperwork for DoT physicals and licensing. The Singhs in particular are quickly and effectively building their own trucking and construction dynasties. They are hiring each other. And they are generally looking out for each other. Not to mention in my state 2 out of 3 gas stations are Arab owned. I cant still figure this one out.

katekemi664: Every parent wants to do what's best for their child. I'm a mother of 2 and I want to share my experience with other parents of how I helped my child from bad grades to very impressive results.
Teni was really falling behind in maths and bringing home bad grades. His teacher had communicated his struggles with me. He was in Pry 2 at the time and had confided in me that all the kids in his class always got concepts taught except him which made him feel he wasn't smart enough.
His first term result in maths was an E followed by a D for second term.I was sincerely worried and knew I had to do something fast.
I had always known that "most good students aren't born good learners". So I had this feeling that if my child can have the basic aptitude, then with the right motivation, he can become a good learner.
My first strategy was to devote more time to his homework. When he comes back home, I allow him teach me what lessons he learnt in school for that day. With this, he experiences less control and develops confidence. He sometimes makes mistakes, but then I was always quick to correct.
I placed more emphasis on learning the basic principles, and to make it more interesting for him, I explain to him how math applies to real life. For example, I allow him figure out how many biscuits can be bought with 100 Naira, if each biscuit is sold for 50 Naira at the school kiosk.
I noticed he was gradually improving. I needed to device a new strategy since my leave was over and I had to resume work. I decided to search online for solutions and most of what I got was private tutoring.
I had once worked as a teacher in a private school so I thought to give it a try. Helping him out with his homework exposed a lot to me and made me understand why a lot of children struggle with some particular subjects.
From the lesson with him I found out that
1. One on one tutoring enables children to ask questions about their challenges without fear of environmental pressure.
2. It enables students to learn at their own pace which might not be possible in a traditional classroom setting.
3. It encourages personalized learning. No two students are same. Some are auditory learners while some are visual learners.
My son is a visual learner so I was always able to get materials to show him which he saw and touched to aid his understanding. You can teach a child a concept without getting it but if he or she sees and touches what you're talking about ,it helps a great deal and they never forget.
4. Many times lessons taught in class are time sensitive and fast moving. There might be a particular line that is crucial to helping a child understand a topic which he didn't get in class. With one on one coaching you can take the lesson as slow as necessary.
5. Flexibility of teaching methods. One on one teaching affords you the benefit of trying several methods of teaching as against the unavoidable one size fits all method used in classrooms.
A lot of teachers won't tell you this but if only your child does not understand a topic taught in class ,sorry they have to move on to the next subject because other kids who understand are waiting. Schemes have to be covered and all.
The student carries the challenge unattended to and when it's time for exams ,I bet you know what would be of the child's performance in that subject or topic and then it will be said that the child is dull.
Believe it or not, after applying these strategies, my son got a B in maths this third term and the teachers were really surprised at the change. Thanks to the internet. You too can do the same for your child today. Cheers!
Backfornow: I will always continue to be a good person, I enjoy helping people. I will just diminish the amount here is all. I do not have the time for rude mean spirited people.
God might be using mean spirited people to prepare you for a purpose in future, so I advice you to stop running from them as you never know..
Backfornow: The more time I spend here, the more I learn it just doesnt pay to be a good person. You have a great day, sir.
You don't be a good person to please anybody but to just be who you are .Never let go of those values you learnt from your mother or family for anybody or any situation
Izognok: What about how does the world view the unguarded and leaking mouth president of the country you want to go? Do you think as terrible as the world makes it look like, that Nigerians can elect such a man who does not know how to talk? And we think they are perfect. Lol!
I have read many of your comments and I like your zeal for success. However, this kind of question should be avoided. Please, kindly focus on the good side of your country. The US you want to go has got her own issues and bad sides too.
The US is a land of opportunities, but Nigeria is a land with hidden treasures. Opportunities are common in the US, but in Nigeria you will get treasures. Treasures are uncommon. So, when you get there, do yourself a favor: Find a way back home to hunt for the treasures in the future. Treasures are rare and scarce, but they last very long. Every Jack/Jerry thrives where there are abundant opportunities, but very few go after treasures.
Let me give you examples of the American citizens who are already positioning themselves to hunt for treasures in Nigeria.
1. Beyonce was in Nigeria one time, and she sang our national anthem without reading from the paper. She knows every Nigerian who attended elementary or high school in Nigeria can sing it by heart. So, she had to learn it by heart. We all know our national anthem, but do most Americans know theirs?
2. Beyonce has promoted the Ikorodu kid dancers many times on her twitter and IG pages. Ikorodu kid dancers are kids based in Lagos.
3. Drake and Wizkid Collaboration
4. Diddy and Wizkid Collaboraion.
5. Just yesterday, Janet Jackson released the visual of her latest singles. Check out the number of views under 24 hours. Check the youtube link I have included below. Janet and her dancers wore ankara (Nigerian attire, I think it is from Yoruba). And can you see those men who opened the song with the yoruba talking drum? That is one of the main heritage of Yoruba. The talking drum cannot be seen anywhere else without talking about the Yoruba culture. It is a yoruba drum from ages. And it talks. Any sound you can make in yoruba, it will give you. Even Ron Kenoly and Don Moen used it in one of concerts in Nigeria. Can you hear what the talking drum was saying/singing?
"Asiko ope, Jene ti de" English translation: Thanksgiving season, Jene (Janet) is here. Jene is a way of saying Janet in Yoruba.
OK these people are entertainers. I agree. What about the young billionaire and boss of facebook, Mark Zuckerberg who was here to invest heavily in digital business in Nigeria recently. Mark walked, jogged in Yaba, and not even in Lekki, Ikoyi, or Victoria Island. Yaba. Do you know that Lord Luggard lived in railway compound in Yaba? Yaba Vs Ikoyi. My brother, Mark is a treasure hunter. He found his treasures in Yaba and not in Bourdillon, where Jagaban resides.
And let me remind you Emmanuel Macron, the French president who was in Lagos recently. Where did he go after saluting our president? Fela's Shrine - of course to go and feel Afrobeat. Fela Anikulapo Kuti is a treasure even after his death. Everyone asked Macron why the Shrine? That was when he said he was an intern at the French embassy some years back, he lived in Lagos for about a year, and he discovered tresures in Nigeria.
Talking of Afrobeat, Janet's song was introduced with Afrobeat. Wizkid has taking afrobeat to the US too. I will not be surprised if the song Diddy is directing for Wizkid presently has afrobeat touch. Do you know that people are beginning to call him Oluwa-Diddy? Adding the yoruba prefix to his name. Lol And let us not forget that Femi and Seun, the boys (children) of Fela the legend are masters of Afrobeat, and they have performed all round the world. I remebered Alicia Key's tweet when she hailed Femi that she was feeling the vibe of one of his singles. Lol.
I can go on and on.
No matter how we see Nigeria, this nation is great. Let us leave common opportunities and Silicon Valley for common people. Great men hunt for treasures. When you mention Nigeria, mention treasures.
The first treasure in Nigeria is her people. Dremca, you are one. The truth is that the US government knows too that we are treasures. And I believe that it is why they are not rigid with their visa interviews. 2 mins interview. Is that the way to conduct an interview? They know that no matter how terrible any Nigerian they give a visa, there is high probability that he/she is a gift. I do not support scams, but I am telling you who we are. We are treasures.
Until we know who we are, then, we will be celebrated. Not saying you should not pursue your dream in the US, but just know that Nigerians are treasures. Please, stop asking questions like this. Just focus on what you want to achieve.
edunwablog: Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta has signed into law the Delta State Public and Private Properties Protection Bill 2018 which outlaws illegal collections and forceful entry by touts into development sites.
Okowa also on Friday in Asaba, assented to the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Amendment Bill 2018.
The governor after signing the bills said that harassment of property developers by touts in the name of “deve” had chased away a lot of developers from the state.
He, however, expressed confidence that with the signing into law of the bill prohibiting illegal and forceful entry into development sites, the state would witness speedy development.
“We will collaborate with the State House of Assembly to ensure that laws are passed to impact positively on the lives of our people.
“I am glad that this bill to prohibit the forcefully entry into public and private properties has been signed into law.
“It will stop youths from trespassing into property development sites in the state and make investment to thrive.
“This prohibition will impact on the lives of our people and bring investment sanity into the state,” Okowa said.
The governor said that the amendment of the DESOPADEC law was meant to ensure that no vacuum was created in the leadership of the commission.
He added that government could now extend the tenure of the board under given circumstances.
He commended the state legislature for its cordial relationship with the executive in bringing development to the people.
Earlier, the Speaker of the House, Sheriff Oborevwori, while presenting the bills to the governor, said that the bills passed through all the processes required for them to be passed.
He also added that they were meant to impact positively on the people of the state by ensuring peace, boosting the economy and bringing development to the state.
Burger01: Oga, starting a business depends on your niche, determination and focus. Know your niche, register your company, get a license, get insurance, consult a staffing counsel, get payroll financing, connect with clients, get applicant tracking system. Look around your state you reside and key yourself into organizations network and you're good to go.
Dremca: Chai Nigerians!! My brother just as our faces are different, so also our destinies are different. Why not discover your own path instead of trying to follow his.
You always jump into US threads making senseless comments. What do you know about America
Burger01: ^^^ Having a business in America is good. Six years of hard work, hard savings, hard determination, hard focus, landed me a business, healthcare IT staffing business. You can't imagine what I rake in per day. There are some sweet European countries good for business (Sweden, Norway, Germany...) , language barrier is a thorn in the flesh here.
Don't waste time in America, do what you gat to do while the sun shines, have plans, have focus. Many things can derail one's life here. Life is good here, plenty babes, plenty attractions, access to loans, cars, mortgages et al. Some peeps would work a $10/hr job for years with no determination or plans to go to school, online studies.... C'mon, do not get stuck on a life like that. Make plans and make the moves then you good..
I am interested in the business my brother. Please reply my PM .Lets chat from there. Thanks
