European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Is Zidane Overrated? Is He Better Than Ronaldinho? by ritchboy(m): 1:59am On Mar 09, 2010

u are missing the point like a Shaq free throw. I think we all agree Maradona is better than Ronaldinho. The question is: who has more ability? The answer is obvious. I only brought up Maradona to illustrate Ronaldinho's level of ability, which clearly obliterates Zidane's.
At least, no one has been able to tell us what makes Zidane better than Dinho. All i've read are referrences to isolated incidents and factless rants based more on emotion than logic.
If Dinho is superior to Zidane in ability, efficiency, consistency, statistics and versatility, surely, only a relatively ignorant person would say Zidane is the better player.
Peace!

Come to think of it, why do Liverpool play so many games on Monday compared to others?

such as? Maradona's only skill/technical attribute that is superior to Ronaldinho is his shooting. I'd say they are on par at dribbling/ball control. Ronaldinho beats him at everything else: technique, passing, crossing, free kicks, penalties, name it.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Is Zidane Overrated? Is He Better Than Ronaldinho? by ritchboy(m): 12:59am On Mar 09, 2010

there is nothing to stretch. . . Ronaldinho has greater talent than Diego. If we make a list of all the relevant abilites/technical attributes in football and score each player on a scale of 1-10, not only will Ronaldinho's overall score eclipse anybody elses, he will also have more perfect scores.
If football has a god, his name is Ronaldinho.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Is Zidane Overrated? Is He Better Than Ronaldinho? by ritchboy(m): 12:36am On Mar 09, 2010
Ronaldinho in his prime shytes on Zidane with consummate ease. What stood out in Zidane's game? His technique, his passing/creativity/vision, his dribbling/ball control. Newsflash: Ronnie can do all that equally well, perhaps even better, and more, SO MUCH MORE!
He is 10 times quicker, he hits a much better free kick/penalty, he is a much better finisher than Zidane. physically, his stamina, balance, agility et al murder Zidane's.

As a matter of fact, in terms of ability/raw talent, Dinho is the most gifted player in the history of football BAR NONE. No other player, not even the Maradonas/Peles could do so many things so well.

Passing - Pin Point
Dribbling - Magnificent
Technique - Flawless
First Touch/Ball Control - Peach
Finishing - Excellent
Free Kicks/Dead Balls - Awesome
Crossing - Inch Perfect
etc etc etc

ability aside, Dinho still trounces Zidane in every other department.

Efficiency - Ronaldinho takes it(as is evident by his far superior stats). Zidane(like many other playmakers in modern football) was a bit of a "luxury player", just a lil bit!
Consistency - in his prime(04-06), Dinho put in majestic performances week in week out over 3 seasons, Zidane never achieved that level of consistency, NEVER!
Versatility - Dinho can play wide forward, second striker, attacking midfield brilliantly( though he's also played on the right and at center forward), Zidane can only play AM.
Entertainment Value - well its the reason we all watch footie, innit? And is there a more exciting player to watch than Dinho? His tricks and flicks are a joy to behold. Damn, i've seen this negro flick the ball over a defender, then turn round and pass it with his back. I mean, who the fukk passes the ball with his spine? IT CAN ONLY BE RONALDINHO!

Now tell me, if Dinho is this superior in terms of ability/talent, efficiency, consistency, statistics, versatility, and flair, what the hell is the basis for comparison?

Hype aside, ZIDANE SHOULD BE LACING RONALDINHOS BOOTS!!!

Arsenal and United have sufferred more serious/long-term injuries than Chelsea since the start of the season.
Arsenal:
Nasri-3 months, RVP-5 months, Clichy-3 months, Eduardo- 2 months, Bendtner-2 months, Gibbs- 6 months, Djourou-8 months, Walcott- 3 months, Rosicky- 3 months, Vela-2 months, Ramsey-1 year.
Man Utd have had Vidic&Rio out for like 90% of the season, Evans & Brown have also been out for a long time(they had to play Carrick and Fletcher at CB for some games). Anderson, Owen & Oshea are out for the season. VDS broke his finger. Hargreaves hasnt kicked a ball since Jesus wept.
Bosingwa is the only Chelsea player in the starting XI i remember picking up a long-term injury from the start of the season till new year. Chelsea failed to take proper advantage, and now that their players are getting crocked for fun, their future looks very bleak. cheesy

at Arsenal, a full-back's primary objective is to support the ATTACK! cheesy
it's not like Eboue is a bad defender, he's proven he can defend since 05/06 when he made some of Earth's best wingers look like Obertan grin
Of course, Sagna is more disciplined/level-headed and defends better, but Eboue offers so much more going forward.
Eboue should be starting at least 65% of Arsenals games at right back!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (In Arsenal We Trust) by ritchboy(m): 11:23pm On Mar 06, 2010
Eboue is still the best right-back in the league. Its not his fault Wenger went all "mad-scientist" and tried to convert him into a winger/central-midfielder.
The kind of performances he put in at right-back in 05/06 & 06/07 no other player has been able to match, FACT!!

u dont need to hyperventilate. Your friend is simply telling you the fat model looks better than the slim, which is very true, especially in it's vertical orientation.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (In Arsenal We Trust) by ritchboy(m): 5:29pm On Mar 04, 2010
How can Walcott be written off because he lacks "touch/skill/technique/dribbling"? How many English players possess any of that? Approximately 0.
Lennon is one of the best wingers in the league, he doesnt have great technique/passing/skill/touch/dribbling, but he's learned how to use his pace very well. If Theo can do that, he would turn out to be a very good player.

Lifeline? I have been telling you since the start of the season Arsenal will be right up there with the rest and you f00lishly concluded "Arsenal cant compete for the league". You have already been proven WRONG.
I even remember your daft list of reasons why Arsenal cant compete: "they dont have a 'top striker' ", "they dont score enough late goals", "they dont have strength in depth", "they lack character", "they sold Adebayor & Toure" and a bunch of other dumb sh|t.

I will be here to laugh at you and your cohorts when Chelsea end up 3rd after spending most of the season leading the league for the second year in a row. HAHAHAHA!!

P.S. HOW MARKET? grin

What are yall debating. We all know Lehmann's classic "throw-in-kicks" are the best! grin

while the 4-3-3 can make Chelsea more dynamic going forward, it also usually renders Anelka useless(Ibime can attest to this) cheesy
if Inter give Chelsea that much space in the 2nd leg, they will concede 6 goals.
Expect Jose to play 5-5-0.

you didnt answer the question. Are Torres and Rooney stronger than Chamakh? NO!
Nasri plays wide, how strong are most wide players? Is Nani a heavy weight?
The whole "Arsenal are lightweight" ish is getting old. Tell me, how many Man Utd players are as strong as Song or Diaby? I cant think of any, maybe Vidic, who else?
Arsenal play football, not rugby or sumo-wrestling.
