frankson1: Death rate in Italy is dropping as opposed to the statement they made that it increased when the Chinese Doctors got there. This is the right time we should welcome every assistance as the numbers are still manageable.
The people who are opposing this, still don't know the severity of this problem. Until we start hearing 2 new cases of infected persons and 800 deaths a day that's when they will start running helter-skelter. Read the news, man.China just got 60 cases on the mainland. You have ulterior motive by saying this.We do not need those Chinkos physically now. They can advice us through video conferencing etc. |

Ritchiee: We have seen governments' stimulus efforts of different countries to lessen the effect of the corona virus crisis on their citizens and economies.
Examples are : USA.....$2.2 Trillion Russia....$4 billion India........$22.5 billion Italy.........$28 billion France.....$49 billion Germany...$610 billion along with $172 billion in increased spending. Etc.
China (Hong Kong) Hong Kong announced a significant fiscal stimulus package as part of its 2020-2021 budget on February 26, 2020.44 Among other things, it includes:
A $1200 cash subsidy to all adult permanent residents Paying one month's rent for people living in public housing Cutting payroll, income, property, and business taxes Low-interest, government-guaranteed loans for businesses Extra month's worth of payments to people collecting old-age or disability benefits.
It is been touted that 40 million Nigerians have BVN verified bank accounts. It will cost the FG only one trillion naira to pay ₦25000 into each account so Nigerians can buy food for themselves and their families during the #CoronaVirus lockdown.
If Nigeria can budget ₦150 billion for a National Assembly of less than 500 legislators, then why can’t we spend one trillion naira paying each of the 40 million Nigerian BVN linked accounts ₦25000 to cushion the effects of #COVID19?
The recipients of the 250 thousand naira, most if not all, will be able to help people around them,we pray so.
We should not only share money during elections. This is the time for the govt to write its name in gold. Lagos is partially writing its name in gold by offering palliatives even to the aged.FGN should not sit on the fence. |

mayprince: Check out people who have contributed monetarily to fight Coronavirus in Nigeria.
#COVID19 #CoronaVirusInNigeria #OvercomeCOVID19
With the number of CONVID-19 cases in Nigeria risen to 51 according to @NCDCgov, some wealthy people here in Nigeria are helping with efforts to combat the outbreak and do what they can for the economy. The list and how they have contributed to fight the outbreak goes thus: 1. Jack Ma- @JackMa is a Chinese business magnate, investor and politician. He is the co founder and former executive chairman of Alibaba Group, a multinational technology conglomerate.
He donated medical supplies which include 5.4 mill face masks, 1.08 mill detection tests, 40,000 sets of protective clothing and 60,000 sets of protective face shields. Right now the medical supplies that was moved from Lagos to Abuja generated lots of reactions from its citizen.
2. Runtown- Douglas Jack Agu, better known by his stage name @iRuntown, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer.
In a bid to ensure everyone is staying safe in this tough times, @iRuntown via his Twitter handle gave out 10 million naira to about 500 people yesterday. The joy in those who got the giveaways has no bound as they continually call on other people to show how genuine this is.
3. Shehu sanni- @ShehuSani is a Nigerian senator, an author, playwright and a human rights activist.
Senator shehu sanni has distributed protective items and foodstuffs to churches, mosques and correctional centers.
4. Atiku Abubakar- @atiku GCON is a Nigerian politician, businessman, philanthropist and presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party at the 2019 Nigerian general election.
@Atiku Abubakar has donated N50million as relief fund to support the Federal Government’s battle against the coronavirus pandemic in the country. He made this known in a press statement on March 25, 2020.
5. Aliko Dangote- @AlikoDangote GCON is a Nigerian business magnate and philanthropist who is the founder and chairman of Dangote Group, the largest industrial conglomerate in Africa.
The @AlikoDangote Foundation on March 2, 2020 pledged a whooping sum of N200million to support current effort of the Nigerian government towards curbing the spread of Corona Virus in the country.
Is there any person I have missed?, feel free to add yours.

Edited: Pastor Enenche, Dunamis Church Donated Medical Equipment, materials. Some are doing their bits without announcing. The only person on that list that is a real philanthropist outside the foreigners is Dangote. Who is even Jack Agu who gave 500 people(are they sufferers or his family members?) Some people will donate and shout to the high heavens just to be noticed. The biggest philanthropists in Nigeria now are Dangote and Otedola. The others on the list are eye service. I respect Atiku,though... |

PDJT: -You’re quoting the wrong man here.
-Personally, I have never met a brave yorooba man or woman for that matter, who could initiate anything or trail-blaze, so anyone asking you to “dissolve Nigeria” would have to wait forever. As Yorooba needs Nigeria, more than Nigeria need Yorooba. Office work, na work? - That’s for timid unproductive species.
-As par starting a war, Igbos are more civilized than that. We left in 1967. You can ask those who started the first to start another - their stock in trade is violence.
-If you want Igbos out of your region, you know what to do if fear will allow you lots. Cowardice runs in Igbos' DNA....umpteenth times proven fact.# Talk is cheap.
