Read on the website that I have to book for an appointment for opening the account using the online portal and not by email. The next available date I can see for embassy appointment is by June. Does it mean by the time I finally open the account I ll av to book online again for the student Visa interview ?

The process seems confusing. Can someone please show me the right path abeg !!!!!

Why not use fintiba instead of DB? from what the experts in the house are saying, fintiba block account takes just 2 days to be opened and doesn't involve all those stressful procedures. You will do everything online. Verify shaa

My home boy used guarrantor and I know alot of people who use it.

Have been to the auslanderbehorde several times to pick up the sponsorship letter with the sponsor and most of the time u need only three month payslip, admission letter, datapage of your passport before they make there decision and issue the letter.

The embassy also accept scan copy of the letter incase theres any delay due to logistik in sending it from germany to nigeria before your interview date..so when u eventually recieve the letter u can drop it at the embassy.

Then what of while applying at the local Resident’s Registration Office or “Einwohnermeldeamt” for resident permit after arrival. Can the guarantor's Form still serve as means of subsistence then or other proof of finances would be required by then?

You mustn't be related to the guarantor - but you need to explain the relationship with the guarantor and what makes you think he/she will sponsor you for the entire study program.

Using a guarantor doesn't hinder your chances, the way you present your case during the visa interview might.

A lot of people i know used guarantor and they are in germany.

1. No they won't demand for IELTS since the programme is taught in English and the school has waived it for students whose Bachelor's Degree in done in English.
2. No I don't think so, cos you will only have access to €720 per month. If you are proficient in German you have an advantage to get good-paying student jobs and the city your school is located. Accommodation can take up to €300/month depending on your school location and your preferences.

Maybe just maybe you should be able to start sending €400 after 3 months when you might have settled in properly.

This is from my interaction with friends out there. The info about what you will be able to send home might not be correct.

1. The MSc program I want to apply to waives test of English proficiency requirements for those with BSc taught in English. I have mailed the program coordinator and confirmed that. Now, is it possible that the German embassy would still demand for IELTS or TOEFL from me when I apply for visa.
2.Is it possible for one to get a reasonable job that can pay the bills while studying? Because I'm considering borrowing the 8640 euros and sending it back after crossing.

I think I understand your question because I am right now filling my own applications. I may be wrong but from all I am seeing here, once you click submit and pay the fee, your application will not be deleted after 21days although all your references need to be complete before your application will be considered by the graduate program department you applied to. So your reference need to be alerted to complete his/her part before the deadline
