Nope. D'Tigers have to win the final tomorrow in order to qualify automatically to the Olympics.
Thank you. Only one team gets automatic ticket. The other three that made the semis get to play with runners up from other continent at another Olympic qualifier tournament at a later date.

Christianity EtcRe: Bishop Oyedepo Says Ladies Attitude Today Is Why Marriages Are Failing Much. by rman:
Idrismusty97:
It is in the Bible, It is in the Qur'an. Women are born to be slaves to men. The problem of every marital lives isn't about the man being a drunkard, or the man being unfaithful, or he being promiscuous. It is about the woman being unsubmissive! The Man of God is just echoing the glorious scriptures of the Bible. If you have doubts read it yourself to know that you are a destined slave, You don't have a say about your own future, career or ambition. Your husband owns your life period!. If you think otherwise you aren't a Christian.
Your logic is flawed and do not turn the scriptures on its head to make a point because you are a man.

Sometimes I come across to ladies as a misogynist, and I can be as logical and less emotional as any man you can get but never in my approach in dealing with women have ever consider them lesser beings.

you singled out that statements to address the whole comment. Read again the made 500 billion naira profit. I say again Profit. Minus every input from output. 500 billion naira profit is like 2 point something billion dollars. Thats not bad for a cooperation. How many companies make that much within a calender year in Nigeria?
Industry is different from industry. Same way u can't blame Apple for making billion dollar profits.

Telecoms industry is so volatile and flexible that, what seems profitable today will burn your fingers tomorrow. Investors study trends and the trend for telecoms in Nigeria is downwards.

We can all help fast track the collapse it or face reality and make it survive.

If it was so profitable and easy, why did NITEL and MTEL fail?

And they have to pay staff, pay insurance, maintain the towers, replace the generators when they get stolen or break down permanently, do upgrades so that you can watch whizkid on your tablet, expand the network so that you can talk with your great grandmamma in your village, spend money on scholarships and training programmes, sponsor competitions, replace old and worn-out machinery, train staff abroad so that they can maintain your equipment, pay adhoc staff....eg those who dig tunnels for the wires, and pay compensation and buy land where they can erect towers.Oh...and they have to pay their expat staff very well....because do you expect someone to come from UK to live in Ajegunle or Nyanya...with all the problems. And they have to pay for security too...for staff and some vital equipment.

You Nigerians should stop demanding awoof. If you want empty hen, glow, and hair tell to be taken over by government, fine. Just don't complain when services start going bad because no money.
I know they will not agree with your post but your are the only reasonable individual here.

See as everybody shouts profits not knowing this is an industry that continues to drop prices even when operating cost /cost of diesel isn't dropping over the years. This is an industry that almost all the operators are laying of staff codedly because it isn't as rosy as it use to be. This is the only industry that pays tax for the same base station to three tiers of government (LGA, state and fg).
If nothing changes soon, Nigerians will be shocked because no where in the world are operators generating their own power, running their own fibre, providing their own security for base stations.

Government folds her hands and do nothing but collects money and the people think they should not make profit because they are in business. The same people shouting profit are the ones hacking the systems in collaboration with insiders (cheats),using cheats daily(non revenue generating traffic) and the number is massive.

In the last two years, the year on year profit of these operators are actually going down apart from Etisalat. If something isn't done many more will become unemployed because things are definitely not as rosy as Nigerians think for these operators.

they still make billions of dollars in profit my bro. Do you know a single person can load 10k credit at a go? That'll power how many tower?lol They made over 500 billion naira profit in 2014 despite of the economic hardship.
http://dejiolowe.com/2015/03/08/mtn-nigeria-made-26b-profit-in-2014-beat-that/
So u want to use the abnormal as a case study? How many people load 10k at a go?

Let me give u an assignment, go to a small town and village and ask for mtn 1500 recharge card and see how difficult It is to get. The cards that move fast are the 100, 200 naira cards which is a reflection of the level of purchasing power of Nigerians.

Lies. The generator that powers telecom base stations conserve diesels a lot.It is not that the generators powers heavy equipment in the base stations.I know a base station close to my house and it's not everyday that they refuel the generator. They come at least one's or twice in a month depending on the number of days or weeks phcn retain power.
Your post is so full of ignorance I don't know which to address.

Why Nigerians are so bold in displaying their abysmal ignorance as knowledge is what baffles me.

This guy is just appealing to the emotional side of nairalanders so someone can ignorantly offer him a job.

I will not hire anyone that thinks all he came to add to my business is religiosity even in a learning environment.

I think the school took the right decision.

Without religion, how would you have acted? Without religion, what do you stand for? Those are more important for me than I'm a Christian or Muslim.

FYI, there has been a circular to all custom officers not to impound personal effects but they still do it. If u know your right, you can actually get someone fired.

FamilyRe: ''What Should I Do? My Child Steals From Everyone'' by rman: 9:41pm On Aug 19, 2015
No child starts stealing at age 11, he probably started taking things not his at a very young age. By age 5, if he a kid takes what is not his or hers without asking, they should be punished and counselled.

If he is a kleptomaniac, it is more psychological and you should try to find out when this kids probably crave your attention and support and you were not there.

The healing process is long but you have to start by getting closer to him and giving him responsibilities that requires trust. Open up the locked rooms or put the valuables there in his care. By passing the guilty verdict on him, by denying him access to the rooms, he will definitely play the role of ''catch me if u can by revolting ''. Also, during holidays, ensure his is fully occupied in productive activities including sports. You also teach him a skill that can earn him small change or let him develop one he is passionate about.

The process should be gradual and you should not feel depressed if he goes back to his old habits even when u think progress has been made. He is still young and the father needs to play a critical role in all of this. It is not all thieves that steal because of needs, sometimes it is a way of very smart kids to show us sometimes they can get away with it. You need to analyse properly to know which one is the reason for your kids reason for stealing because same approach won't work for both.

The old ways of corporal punishment sometimes work, if the kid has genuine love and respect your feelings. Because most kids do not like disappointing their parents. If you are not so sure about this, don't try corporal punishment as it will backfire big time.

Best of luck as I sincerely believe at his age, it is still not a lost cause.

If you are really thinking longterm based on your background, the sales jobs is better.

Setting for teaching is like remaining in your comfort zone. Engineering firms, sales, marketing etc reward experience more than teaching does.

You will be shocked you can get an offer running into millions from the bigger boys based on just a few months experience in engineering sales. I doubt teaching will offer you such massive leap.

IMO, both 60k and 80k fall into the same category of low income earner and shouldn't really be a strong factor in your case.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Vehicle Sinks After Bridge Collapses In Dubban Fulani, Gombe State by rman: 8:56am On Aug 18, 2015
This collapsed bridge is one of the ways everyone should support the fight against corruption.

Someone awarded a contract to an incompetent company, contractor was paid. Somebody certified job is complete and properly done.

They all have endangered human life and the catastrophe could have been worse. In saner climes, some people will be answering serious questions and will probably pay for damages, endangering human life and end up in jail.
