Celebrities › Re: Olamide's Story For The Gods: A Nigerian Song Recommending Rape? by rman: 8:13pm On Nov 28, 2014 |
freecocoa: I didn't know the lyrics to that song until now, not really a fan of Nigerian music as most of them sing absolute rubbish but what I'm here to say is that, I am 98% sure Olamide meant every word in that song and he must have done such many times.
Now here's why I think so, many guys don't understand the word "no" and "stop", their excuse is that ladies mean "yes" when they say "no", believing that if they press further, the girl will give in and many girls have been r*ped this way, the girl struggles for a while and when he overpowers her and finally have his way, it becomes "she was just saying no so that he'll press harder" whereas what happened was r*pe and the girl won't say anything because she'll get all the blames.
I have been there but the ediot did not succeed, I was lucky enough to create a diversion and escaped, this is even someone I wasn't romantically involved with, someone I thought was a friend, seriously many girls have been r*ped this way and this pattern is even worse. Sorry about your experience but the OP got the meaning of the song completely wrong. In fact, it is a funny way of interpreting the hypocritical nature of people especially girls towards sex. I find the song funny and it has nothing in it about rape. |

The writer of the article is dull. In fact, the song is a funny way of analysing how girls give all kind of excuses of not wanting sex but turn out to be sex goddess immediately u get them into the act. It is about the hypocritical nature of girls attitude towards sex and maybe the society at large. In fact, STORY FOR THE GOD'S is addressing all those holier than thou on this very thread but Bleep pass dogs when doors are closed. Kai, hypocrites everywhere. |

it's surely madness for you and your household. How sane are you by describing a project meant to ameliorate the suffering of rural women as a waste? Those women beneficiaries, are they from Ghana? If your mindset is to condemn any govt's project no matter how laudable, then you are a disgrace to this generation. And if peradventure the stove is found in your extended family, it becomes a curse . Shut up! |

chronique: France is one of the world's super powers but an airport in France was rated as the worst in Europe, followed by another airport in Moscow(Russia) which happens to be another super power;what does that mean? No one is saying what we have now is the best but considering where we are coming from,we should at least applaud the little efforts made. If those who were in those positions did what the were suppose to do,we wouldn't be at this level. Unfortunately, most of you guys refuse to see things that way. You just want to wake up and see everything in Nigeria, the way it is in America, forgetting that it is a gradual process. The difference between us is that majority of you guys live in fantasy while some of us live in reality. You are the one dwelling in mediocrity. You guys defending everything government does on this forum must think we are fools. |

Hypocrites everywhere on nairaland!
How can you claim you love someone(opposite sex and not family) and not feel sexual urge for that individual? Impossible!
For those claiming holier than Jesus saying till after marriage, where will the sexual urge come from after marriage when it was not there before marriage?
@OP,
Sexual urge is a major requirement for being in love in humans of opposite gender. In fact, for ladies,in most cases, it is ultimate show of love for them. |

Zedric: It doesn't matter where it is on her body, the fact is its on her person and she suffers the full blast directly. Its the same principle with arson; the darkest/ part showing greater degree of burn/heat marks is the origin of the fire. That is to say no matter the degree of burn, the worst hit part is the part the fire started from; in this case, her body.
Btw, it can be deduced from the picture above that the bomb was located around the chest. Following this line of reasoning, if any part remains without burns, it should be the legs and not the upper body Send me your CV, I'm recruiting for CSI unit of DSS |

Politics › Re: External Reserve And Debt Under Obasanjo, Yaradua And Jonathan Administrations by rman: 8:43am On Nov 08, 2014 |
Missy89: If the debt and the budget grew because naira lost its value (inflation) That cant be factual for a simple reason.
The oil prices rose as well, which means inflation doesn't matter. Lets even say the naira was inflated by 3% every year (this is a huge percentage) oil prices under Jonathan has risen over 50% at the same time so an increase in the budget (which is understandably as per inflation) shouldn't deplete the reserves since there was no huge fall in oil prices in those years.
Let's even say there was a huge fall in prices (which never happened), then only the reserve should be depleted and borrowing should not have increased since there is enough reserve to shock the loss of oil revenue.
The increase in debt and a depleting reserve with a stable oil price in the last 5 years (over $100) only means one thing : CORRUPTION!
Take it or leave it.
I am not a GMB fan by the way This is the point Barcanista was making from page 1. It is quite straightforward. |
