EducationRe: Why Do Most Brilliant Guys/Ladies Use Glasses? by rman: 5:44pm On Sep 17, 2014
hardbody: I use glasses and i am smart. Even third parties admit to that fact. Any explanations? I don't have and i don't care. QED.
That means your brain function is tied to your glasses. Poor boy!

gift01: and when has left handedness become a deformity? shocked
Who said it is? You claimed you can't be brilliant and have good eye sight, I am telling you people believe being left handed is a sign of brilliancy too.

So what I mean is, if the individual is left handed, will poor eye sight still be requirement for brilliancy for such an individual?

gift01: You can't be brilliant and have good eyes. One must give way
If the individual is left handed will your conclusion still hold?
EducationRe: Why Do Most Brilliant Guys/Ladies Use Glasses? by rman: 7:58am On Sep 17, 2014
There is no correlation between brilliancy and bad eye sight.

Are we now concluding bad eye sight from old age makes those ones brilliant in old age too?

I can make the same argument for bad eye sight and poor academic performance because for every brilliant kid in glasses there is one with glasses that is poor. You all just choose to ignore those ones for sensationalism.

Tomjazzy2: like so many others out there, you seem not to know the difference between Children and adults
I know the difference. So your assumption is in your kids school there are kids infected with Ebola.

What is the essence of all the information put out there and governments excellent effort in tracking and providing adequate updates?

Why do you as an adult go out at all?

Why attend parties like the person I quoted said?

Why go to church or mosque?

Go to all major public places kids are there and there have been no reported cases of ebola or massive outbreak affecting kids yet.

Why should schools be different?

Nonybb: Igbo this Igbo that. I think we Igbos are so self-centered atimes. He didnt talk about the lives of Nigerians in generality but only the Igbos. Do we Igbos think we can live only ourselves in this Nigeria if all hausas and yoruba are dead. This is getting too much biko
Are you sure you are Igbo? I find it strange there is one like you on this forum. They all post and share the same self centred sentiments.

You are indeed a breadth of fresh air.

PoliticsRe: Gabun Village Residents In Adamawa State Claim Sighting Crashed NAF Jet by rman: 1:50pm On Sep 15, 2014
martyns303: I respect it when people make reasonable statements. I had to take time off from what am doing and respond to you properly. from the scenario you illustrated, it does not require technical know how or a professional to give a possible outcome of the event. Now, even if someone wants to give a possible cause of this crash, it would make sense if the person at least have an idea of what he saying, which the poster lack. Speaking as a pilot with 2000 hours of flying experience (which is why what the guy said is annoying). let us look at what he said.

1) It was a deliberate mechanical fault and why didn't the pilot parachute out.

Response: Please. let him explain exactly how do a pilot carry out a "DELIBERATE MECHANICAL" failure. because I have been thinking really hard, the only thing I can come up with is if the pilot lowers flaps or undercarriage at a speed way higher than the recommended speed, then maybe the flaps n undercarriage can just snap off. possible, but illogical. maybe our technology guy can explain more. The second part of his statement says why didn't the pilot eject himself. lets see, so I sabotage a plane, then I sit quite comfortably and crash with it. sounds more like suicide attack to me. and how did the poster know the pilot didn't eject? do the poster know something the rest of us don't ?

2) the pilot was poisoned which could have killed him before his he thought of parachuting out of the jet

Response: I don't know what to say, I just had to laugh. well in a commercial flight, the captain and co-pilot usually eat different meal to avoid food poising. A poison that times him, let him get on-board. then incapacitate him just at the right time and prevent him from ejecting. Nice! really nice theory. well done my man.

3) the pilot intentionally crashed the jet especially if he is alive.

Response: isn't this theory supporting at the same time contradicting his first theory. wait! what is the difference between "deliberate mechanical fault" and "intentional crash"? Maybe in 1. the flight engineer messed with something. grin , now he his alive, thought he was incapacitated? oh! that was before the flight engineer messed with things. Right!

4) if the jet was releasing smoke before it crashed which is one sign that it was shoot

Response: Too much of Hollywood. what kind of smoke? because blue, black or white smoke could mean burning oil, fuel etc. (piston engine).

5) the villagers who saw the jet's door, actually saw the pilot.

Response: you cant see a pilot from the door but from the windshield front view. this one is even more annoying. even if the door is missing. u still cant see the Pilot from the ground.

The aircraft has nothing to do with the collapsed building

This is clearly a result of poor construction or structural design.
CelebritiesRe: Professional Sperm Donor Becomes Richest Man In Wyoming by rman: 8:34am On Sep 14, 2014
drhappy: This thread brings to the fore lies that had been peddled in the past about paramedics undergoing the same depth of courses as doctors in the universities.A good grasp of anatomy should let us know that the number of sperm cells produced per one ejaculation ranges from between 200-300millions out of which only ONE cell(champion) fertilizes the egg.The remaining millions are then destroyed due to their ultrashort life span.
In vitro fertility procedures encompass sperm collection and isolation of viable spermatozoa which are then stored in the sperm bank. You can therefore get thousands of male producing cells from one ejaculation. The bottom line is that it is not as if the donor must release sperm everyday or for every recipient. The theory of malnourishment therefore is not valid here.
At last, someone that gets it.

PoliticsRe: Desmond Elliot To Contest For Lagos House Of Assembly by rman: 2:21pm On Sep 12, 2014
Tribalism will soon consume Nigeria.

When I have assumed it is only a few user names that does that often, new ones keep coming up. Unfortunately, I assume they are all youths. Evil has triumphed over good in Nigeria.

It is disappointing that instead of us to see the infusion of these young talented people into politics as a breath of fresh air, all we saw was is he Igbo or Yoruba. As a young man, I will definitely vote for 9ce, Desmond Elliot and Julius Agwu, I don't think they can be worse than the comedians we have in leadership position across board presently

All those issues of people misplacing their original call-up letter and having to miss-out of NYSC is now going to be a thing of the past..

I remember about 6 - 8 guys that were turned back for losing their call-up letter.
The idea is good but the fee is ridiculous.

Even if they want to charge a fee, it shouldn't be more than 500 naira

Iceathome: I dont know if u are into politics or have u work with any politicians in Nigeria, if not ok.
let me bring to ur notice that in Nigeria politics an opposition party can do anything to blackmail u and ur party as an avenue to bring down ur morale. In Nigeria an opposition can go a lenght to kill, kinpin or attempt ur life or any of relations then what is d big deal on erecting banner at d airport way.

My opinion, such was hand work of anti gej. If u check all d pro gej, they are using his native attire pics not the polo type cos they want it to appear different and eye catch.
Bro, you are so lame it is appalling.

So only opposition is desperate in your warped mind?
Seriously, you are not intelligent enough to defend what you are trying to defend. Your reasons are so myopic even PDP and GEJ do jot require support of people like you. You are doing more damage to your subjects cause than good bro. Cheers
PoliticsRe: GEJ Says The #bringbackgoodluck2015 Banners Should Be Brought Down by rman:
Iceathome: Pls folks twitter is like NL where u can have many usernames as u want, let not be deceive doyin username and all d whole pro gej are not sponsored by gej. They are sponsored by volunteers who want one post or contract, gej dont even know d groups and their support only few of them which are not even making noise but working underground. Tan is not gej agenda, its Ifeanyi Uba intiative of supporting gej for 50million USD he promised gej for his campaign.

APC is behind d stuff
So APC erected the massive banners on airport toad in Abuja too?

In saner climes, this action and how lame some of you try to pin in it on opposition is a guaranteed reason to vote the present government out.

Mistakes can be made, lying it is opposition that's responsible is an integrity issue which serious nations don't joke with at presidential level.

Iceman296: The number of glo users in your contact cannot be used as a Yardstick to check their Nigerian Customer base. I particularly use glo and have lots of people who do.

I Think all these boils down to the number of years these network providers have stayed in Nigeria, Etisalat should have the lowest because they came recently as compared to the others.

If all of them started at the same time or close time frame, I don't think MTN would be the network of choice for most Nigerians.
FYI, MTN and Econet now Airtel started at the same time

Nobleval: "Official data show that MTN
currently has about 57.2
million telephone users
on its network. Airtel Nigeria
trailed with 25.5 million;
Globacom is third with 23.4 million while Etisalat has
18.5 million telephone users on
its network."

Nigerians can never manage things!. Last time I checked Glo had 25+m suscribers-second on the list. Airtel had some 18m+ suscribers then,Etisalat's was 14m+.

Now you guys can see for yourselves! While the foreign firms are multiplying, ours is decreasing! sad -on decline. Shame!
Adenuga runs GLO like a one man business. You don't expect the level of professionalism that obtains in MTN at management level and Etisalat to happen in GLO. In GLO," na eye service dey reign at management level".

Arithmetically, most christians won't vote APC (though its wrong, but you can ask pastor bosun why), APC will not get 1/10 votes from churches like winners, redeem, christ embassy, deeperlife and lord's chosen (these are the biggest churches in nigeria I guess). APC is as good as forget 2015.
