Ask am o , have all the trapped fpis of 2 years ago left ? Read somewhere airlines have 300m $ they can’t repatriate as of April , you have a huge differential between the official rate of 420 and blackmarket rate of 590 . Even the so called commodity of oil we can’t produce the normal 1.8/1.9m bpd , probably at 1.3m or less due to so many issues and theft , add subsidy , huge govt debt and maybe present political climate , people must be cautiously optimistic |

This panel changes automatically whenever there is power failure(i.e No PHCN), it will send signal to generator to start immediately and also send signal when PHCN restore power. Let's say you run your 165kva generator for 12 hours daily on full load. How much fuel in litres will you consume per day (12 hours run time) or 6 hours. Or better still How many litres does it consume per hour on a full load. it’s about 35 to 40 liters per hour on full load |

This is the only way I can make profit. Now the place I am planning to Power supply there is 15-18 hours daily. Which is still not okay enough. I might make money, but it won't be enough as diesel will eat into it.
Do you advice I change location or what? Is the 33kva power those high tension wires or those normal highway wires that connect city to city. Solar is not also an option. I have an option of another place that can boost of 20hours of power daily. But land there is expensive I am thinking of going the leasing route One more thing … if your making money in nigeria depends on having regular public power supply , you have your business strategy wrong It should be I can make money with running alternate power supply and if public supply is regular , it’s a bonus . Thanks. Nah . Secret is not in transformer and generator sizes Mall 1 , 200kva transformer . Lettable space about 1100 sqm , initially was suppose to be 110 and 165kva generator . A tenant had load requirement of 100kva so we have 165kva and 275kva there now. Operational Mall 2 , 500kva transformer . Lettable space of about 3000sqm , 440kva , 275kva , 165kva . Not operational Mall 3 . 200kva transformer . Lettable space about 1500sqm . 110 and 165kva . Tope just told me we will need upto 200kva based on his load calculation so I might upgrade , not opetatonal With high diesel prices now , am looking at the possibility of connecting mall 2 and 3 to 33kva for more regular public supply . So I might buy new transformers I have a facility manager managing mall 1. Contracted it out . Others will be the same . I have all tenants metered. So the bill the fm generates is dependent on the meter reading . It’s a function of public power supply received in the quater and diesel purchased . A lot will depend on the load requirements of the tenants , not a one size fits all .Hope i helped small |

kopell: Wooo, are you serious. 60 blocks per bag of cement. The concrete blocks 9” I ordered 28 per bag. Years back in different location back when. I did hands molding blocks for fencing 32 per bag for 9” when 35 per bag for 6” Did about 35 to 37 I think .for 9 inch . Machine made , vibrated . With stone dust . Use 3x or other 42.5 variants for all my projects including block moulding

twinskenny: A young chap is handling this project right here.. no story no drama.. we are on the last floor.. money well spent so far.. Nice . Love the no story , no drama . That’s how I roll . After my first commercial project that the plumber , electrical person , steel Guy , Cctv , aluminium and others came separately apart from the builder , note that this guys dint do a quarter of some stories I read here , some of them were mad no doubt but I dint have energy for the constant liaising and dealing with issues With many of them I learnt going forward to give one person mep , Cctv etc and the builder does his thing . While the builder and architect jointly helps supervises the aluminium guys and other works , also employed a full time project supervisor. Some of the contractors from the first project don beg tire . I don’t do stress , life is too short |

The prime property is on the main road to one of the top 10 Universities in Nigeria (1min drive to the school gate), hottest cake.

I use one of the foremost engineers in my location , that same Person / organization construct for a tier one bank and various state govt including private residences of state chief executives and I hope you know there are just five tier one banks , fugaz The size and scale of my various constructions should give you an idea of what I can do and afford I cannot extrapolate my situations and make it mandatory for everybody Else under the guise of conscience and what I can afford , there is an economic side to things , we have different pocket sizes , resources and value . Those tiling alone are done for 1000/ sqm , I can easily get the norm of 400 to 600, there is a lady that post here I could have gone with but I dint and e get why though she was much cheaper , topsy is handling one of the projects , that I can afford to engage him says a lot , the other engineer doing the electrical of the other project is the same guy doing all jara projects When some of us don’t talk , it’s because we know there are different levels to this wealth thingy and how do we even begin to show off when you see bigger things others are accomplishing and the potentials ahead . I do not engage in online fight or drama , I have enough drama in real life running my various businesses and enterprise , i Channel my energy to my executions There was another guy yapping earlier today that quoted me . Am 100% sure he has not done ANY project that pays as much as mine . It is just what makes me human. Conscience. You can pay what your conscience dictates But Simple economics is the reason . Don’t ever compare wages in a 20 plus trillion economy to one of about 400 billion . It’s for that same reason every job in the usa or much of the west pays multiple times better than same category of jobs in nija , maybe 20 to 30 times I see a lot of people display this ignorance , including professionals when they start comparing there wages to counterparts in the west How do you compare wages in an economy of 60k dollars gdp par Capita to that of nigeria at 2k dollars , even china wages are much lower than usa A cleaner in the usa will earn more , same with teacher , police and every other job , There is only one abnormally in nija to this rule for obvious reasons . Bought it in January for 9800 per carton. No be small thing , just bought buffer of about 1500sqm last month at about 8600/sqm . At least I know who to contact if any is left  Had to go back to check the ones I bought September , was 6500 Started laying it

There’s something patently wrong with most Nigerian artisans. Na so . Used the new marriot in lagos a few times , impressive yet am always looking for where Nigerian artisans will manifest , seen a few in the rooms , things above like paint smudges on sockets , mirror , but the one wey vex me pass is they cut the tiles bigger to install the sensor that flushes the urinary for men when you step away . In the meeting/ semina rooms at the basement, Was awful . Kept thinking they suppose give the person serious bla la , this is in spite of the foreigners and professionals that must have supervised them But seriously some of this things show our flaws as a people , shortcut is a way of life with us , hurry , hurry and shoddiness We need to go back to technical training and colleges , it’s seriously lacking It’s only in nigeria someone becomes an okada driver in one week , start laying tiles in one week , no sufficient training or apprenticeship |
