Barca is the best because the play best and cheat best. I dont see y anyone should complain because the couldnt cheat as well as Barca. They r d best at everything on the pitch. Simple ! |
I wonder if a no fly zone will be imposed if China engages in a similar offensive against Taiwan. Or where were they when Pakistan descended on restive Wazaristan apparently in search of al-queda operatives. Rubbish ![]() |
Lagos Boy:At least the seem to be people who still have a sane mind in that country. |
delimit:Only nationally known industrialists. |
Jarus:No doubt Sanusi has the character and drive to do what hes done (and I give him kudos for that) but his CV depicts a complete lack of knowledge and exposure. Secondly why would a man appointed on the grounds of his risk management credentials go and hire an international foreign based risk management expert as deputy ![]() Na only risk management and supervision CBN dey do ? Like Soludo (another Anambrain) said, that is just 20% of the job. And hes not just " like any other member of CBN team" hes the no 2 man. |

spyder880:Seriously, what are you smoking and which Enugu are you talking about ? |
seanet02:And ur man Sanusi is his accomplice. Why jail bank MDs and let Soludo go scott free. |
asamuel:Soludo on various occasion has accepted responsibility over his lax approach to banking regulation stated that he wished he'd done things a little differently. He also stated that prior to his departure at the helms of CBN, he was on the process of ramping up banking regulation. But he has pointed out tht regulation is only about 20% of his duties as CBN, and he considers himself to have scored high in the rest of the 80%. |
Hon. Minister, or are you embarrassed to learn that even the AMCON you taunt as the ‘saviour of the banks’ happens to be one of Soludo’s initiatives? I NO KNOW O !. Habaaaaaa SANUSI ! In the same public presentation, I outlined to stakeholders steps we had taken to tighten and strengthen regulation and supervision of the banks as follows:I think we all including Mr Aganga have been greatly misinformed by the present CBN management . |
Obiagu1:But it is regretable that a finance minister quotes pepper seller and beer parlour stories. Do you see how so many people can be so wrong ? |
Please what did Aganga study @ oxford and what award did he get ? No one seems to know. I hope this is not another gimmick. |
We all know that Aganga is a First Class accountancy graduate of UI. We also know he is a managing director specialised in hedge funds and equities @ Goldman Sachs. But all references to his oxford studies just say that he earned postgraduate degree there. Can someone please help me with his qualifications @ oxford ? In what field did he do a post graduate @ Oxford. (Accountancy/Economics/Thelogy) ? What award did he earn @ oxford . (Masters/Phd/Post graduate diploma ?) |

Why dont they (Sanusi and Aganga) put Soludo in jail if at all he has questions to answer. The situation we are facing now is what happens when u remove more qualified people like Soludo and Iweala from office and replace them with relatively light-weights like Sanusi and Aganga. Aunty Ngozi never even start. The fact ladies and gentlemen is that the economy is being grossly mismanaged, not necessarily due to corruption, but due to incompetence. |
With Soludo openly critisizing the present administration on economic policies, I doubt if the guy has any skeleton in his cupboard. If he did they would have at least gone after him or exposed him by now . |
This shows that tribalism does not really exist in Nigeria. It is just a tool our politicians use for personal gains. And to promote their personal agenda. And @Ezeuche. Please stop your lies ! |
Soludo should be in Jail. Let Sanusi dig out evidence to jail him then. For a guy openly and fearlessly attacking an administration in power, i'm begining to beleive that this guy has got no question to answer. Let them get him arrested, he is in Nigeria. |
Ever since the above concerns were raised by the former CBN governor, no answers have been rendered by our policy makers(Aganga and Sanusi), instead they resorted to attacks on the person of Soludo. I personally will want an answer to the above issues. |
The Economy is Going Down, Soludo Warns – Thisday Former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has warned that if pre-emptive measures are not taken now, Nigeria’s economy is “doomed” to a worse form of structural adjustment programme (SAP) and “something will have to give”. In an exclusive essay published in THISDAY today, Soludo, who also ran for governorship election in Anambra State in March, challenged presidential aspirants to debate economic issues before the general election. Soludo expressed concern that the government had been piling up domestic and foreign debts with no improvement in the economy. He wrote: “In spite of the heavy external debt of $34 billion and oil prices ranging between $25- $50 during the (ex-President Olusegun) Obasanjo’s second term, we managed to grow the economy at about 6-7 per cent per annum (from average of 2.8 per cent in the 1990s). We started saving for the rainy day when oil prices reached $35 and by 2007, despite paying $12 billion to write off the Paris Club debt in 2006, we had saved about $22 billion as ‘Excess Crude’. “In the last few years, oil prices have averaged $70 to $85 per barrel. What has happened? We have spent the $22 billion saved under Obasanjo, and now massively borrowing at an alarming rate (domestically and externally) during a period of unprecedented oil price boom, and yet the economy remains static at 6-7% growth rate. Recurrent expenditure of the public sector has more than doubled since 2004, leaving very little for investment.” http://nigerianbulletin.com/2010/09/15/the-economy-is-going-down-soludo-warns-thisday/ |
This smirks of a smear campaign. It is not out of place to lie on ur CV and neither is it a crime. But Nigeria is a country full og unnecessary noise. |
It puzzles me though that the TIMES man of the year for 2009 was Ben Bernanke but he was not good enough to be central banker of the year 4 this magazine. Personally, I acknowledge sanusi's imapct in sanitising the banking sector but the effects on the economy has been negative so far. This administration has been the worst ever in terms of Fiscal, monetary and budgetary policies. And I mean even compared to the Abacha and IBB eras. I do appreciate him speaking out against the amount of money spent on legislators though. |
Jarus:They have since corrected the mistake. |
I've always said that the emboldement of the ND was actually an emboldment of the Ijaw. Unknown to many, the first casualties will be the other southern minorities. |
LOLOOO ! So an opinion have had 4 years have finally come to life. EMEAGWALI A FRAUD ! I dont think so. I actually think hes a LUNATIC ! Listen I am Igbo from the same state with Emeagwali, and a lot of people in my state know him as a fraud. He only manages to deceive on a National level. We no need am ! We have plentiful achievers and heroes and will continue to produce them. But this man na mad man ![]() |
udezue:Are U outta Ur mind ? Or are just continuing the tendency for Igbos to self aggrandise ? |
You guys r forgetting one important detail. Forget OBJ, IBB, Atiku etc GEJ is president and wields the biggest stick by far ! Obj, Abacha and co has demonstrated that everyone is nothing but powerless when it comes to the presido. Stop making these men sound more powerful than they r, they are actually powerless. |
Do you know how silly y'all will look if Dora dint make those comments. Dora released a press statement in some village in Anambra state, how comes only SR (a foreign based news website) has reported it ! ![]() Don't some of you have common sense. ![]() |
Following reports of fracas at the burial of Dora Akunyili's sister in Anambra she sent out this press statement from her father’s compound at Nanka, Anambra State. See Dora Akunyili's statement below:This above pre-statement by SR has got me suspicious and thinking. Dora a minister of info, releases a press statement and the only publishers are the much despised SR. I'll wait until I get a report on one of the regular news outlets. |
