DailyNews: You're right that someone can earn above $1000 via Google Adsense, but its not common, its not easy and very rare. I am a hubber at hubpages since the past 5 years now, and there is where u get the highest earners on Google Adsense.

Some of the highest earners there earn from $1000 to $2000 monthly and these are white gurus who are experts in SEO, niche-based blogging, etc.

A guy I know from Texas once earned $5000 a month, and google closed his account with policy violation as excuse and he said he didn't deviate from Google Adsense policy.

To earn $1000 and above consistently every month via Google Adsense isn't so easy even with high traffic. My main blog get between 5000 to 10,500 daily traffic and other of my supplementary article blogs with 3000, etc daily traffic still don't earn me consistent $1000 every month. It keeps fluctuating. So I know what I am saying.

Though nothing is impossible. But the greatest way to make more money via blogging is to work towards getting direct advert placements, sponsored posts and selling some brands and products as affiliate marketer via referral. CJ and Clickbank are some of the best in those aspects.

But I have come to realise that people who venture into blogging just to make money hardly make money. I made my first money via blogging by mistake I couldn't believe it the very day Google sent me my first pay check...and even the day I go a request for direct advert, I never expected it. So be focused, enjoy your blogging....tell your friends to visit....use social media marketing and pormotion and you will surely make money from your blog at the right time.


Lastly, you need to make your blog layout so sweet and appealing. So many people keep writing me to please help them design their blog to look like mine. Mine is like a home...in fact if u visit, you will be so amazed...especially if u visit with a computer, u will be wowed, Linda Ikeji blog is just booming cos of her already popularity, if not eh

I will checked the pH again. And try spawning again. (In your words, if one has not started hatching, one has not started fish farming).

Pls don't u ever give up.. Mozek24 experience with hatching is even good compared to mine.. I had a very bad experience during my earlier days with hatching.. I did all sort of tins, I will spawn sometimes all the eggs will be white another will hatch but they will all die etc..

I was just hatching and flopping but all the while I was learning from every flop.. The money I spent on brood stock alone was enuf to set up a small farm ..
Myself and someone on the thread has been thru a lot on the spawning process.. There was a time this same person spawned in his BATH THUB just to be closer to the fries but it all ended in a fiasco..

I also contacted someone who is a follower of this thread back in 2010 who sold brood stock for me twice without the males having no sperm sack..maybe he has used the male and he sew back the stomach and also cheated me of my hard earned cash with buying of this and that, I left him for good but just recently his bad deeds was revealed... I can go on and on abt my experiences..

So what am saying in essence is that u don't have to give up, keep trying and learn from ur mistakes.. Just imagine that I quitted back then..

My fries are 4 weeks and two days old.. I sell my fingerlings at 8 weeks and juvenile at 12 weeks.. It also depends on how fast they grow!!!

TOPAI7: They did last the spawning period. Few eggs hatch. More than 95% of the eggs were white by the second day. I suspect that the pH was low (6.00).

The pond was washed with salt as earlier advised in this thread.

The pond is directly under a coconut tree (I was thinking that low temperature might have affected)

There was flow through but it was not constant.

I will advice that you check the P.H of ur water using a testing kit to ascertain the P.H level..

TOPAI7: I want to appreciate the contribution of everyone on this forum. Am an ardent follower of this thread. Recently I engaged the services of an expert to spawn for me. The broodstock (female 4kg), male (3.2kg). The egg and sperm were good by what the expert said.

The irony of the spawning was that, no fry survived. My question is this:
(1) What should be the pH, temperature and other key parameters for spawning?
(2) The spawning was done in an open tarpaulin pond. Could this be a result for the mortality?

The ideal P.H of any water for spawning should be 6.5 to 7.. You have to check ur managemebt practices like do u do do constant flow through.. How do u feed them, because when u over feed it pollutes the water and decreases oxygen thereby killing the fries..

The open tampoulin pond is sun light directed towards the pond because excess heat have a major effect on the fries

Hello house!!!

I just want to share on how over crowding affects the growth of fishes in a pond..I wrote sometime ago about over stocking, that when a pond is over stocked it makes the fish stunted

I recently spawned precisely 4 weeks today and the fries where much, I didn't expect the amount of fries I got because I only used a male and a female brood stock..

I spread the fries the third day to different seperate ponds and left the remaining.. After a week I noticed that they were so crowded on each of the ponds I spread them to and I couldn't transfer them to the larger concrete pond.. The result is that the ones I left were way more bigger than the rest..

Since u have treated them already u don't need to add any other thing except the livestovit... The measurement of the livesovit Is clearly written on the leaflet.. If not u can measure a quarter and add to your pond...

Very true... The federal government was giving out 5 bags of feed and free fingerlings at a subsidized rate through cooperatives for registered farmers... But it has ended some weeks back.. I collected some feed myself but didn't collect the free fingerlings..

Wow that's wonderful... U have to raise them for three months from fingerlings stage to get to melange stage(300grms to 350 grm) before u sell them off... Note that you can't buy fingerlings and raise them for three months to make a reasonable profit.. U have to hatch them urself!!!

lizu: the aspect of iya eleja unrinating around your pond and causing some problems that will have to force you to call them back to buy the fish....all na wash....i run my farm on a 2 and half acre of land in agbara, ogun state...and am doing fine...., i use a concrete pond as well, but you see our people, dont let us leave leprosy and be curing ringworm....this is nigeria, we have so many difficulty in this country and by so doing we can only work with all we have around us to survive...robonsky has tried but i expect people here to discuss the reason why the bizness is not working and what can be done to make it work...we have different issues that are very important to talk about and carry the intending farmers along so that they will not end up loosing their money too...things like
1. the pond...aw its bn built, the deepness and its advantages
2.water....its management and its advantages
3.feed...types of feed
4.mode of feeding
5.duration of time...speculated time for the whole rearing that wont surpass the planned money to be used
6.market...when to market and how

I have never been infuriated by any comment on this thread like this one.. I Spoke about my experience when I started the business of how dis market women are extorting some fish farmers till date and u are telling me "all na wash" I will take it as an insult.. If u run your farm on a 2 and half plot of land who bloody cares..

All the topics u listed have been covered by me and the gurus in the house we have discussed all extensively and intensively on all the topics.. I doubt if u are a follower of the thread from day one as u claimed.. Have we been talking gibberish abt catfish till presently 56 pages... We have talked abt ways to improve and make profit in this business..

I gave my all to this thread so other gurus in the house..U better pull ur skirt down and calm down and add ur own input rather than spewing trash
