There is another video by this man. I will find it. The goal is to drain out as much fluid as possible

Thanks for the reply, I also experience nasal congestion and sometimes use decongestant like , otrivin and silver bird (eucalyptus oil) . Though it worked initially but as I speak now I hardly feel the effects of the drugs again. Tied slot of drugs and nothibg seems to work. I have been seriously cut off from real sound. Hardly hear myself until I cup my ears with my hand ,talk more of people talking around me. I only hear high pitch sounds now. It's really tiring. Please how much did you get your hearing aids and is it really helpful to you. Thanks for your previous reply.

Please watch this video. The first day i tried it, I actually experience an increase in the drainage of the fluids. This also confirmed what I said previously that the problem is caused by the nose and not the ear. And it is the fluid that is causing these problems as it blocks the ear too. You feel a sort of pressure in your ear when you try to talk. Use the subtitle option in the video below so that you can read what is said. We will overcome bro.

The most important thing is to understand the problems. Based on my observations so far, this is a respiratory disease.

Man we are experiencing the same thing,., Yes, when I use hand to touch my ear, I tend to hear my voice well. I can still hear my voice but not really those of people in front of me.

Though, I did experience a sharp improvement sometime middle of this year without a hearing aid until it relapsed.

From the research I have done so far, the problem is not really the ear. It is the nose. This explained when I first took nasal decongestant for the first time along with some drug, and after so much excretion of catarrh to the point that my singlet that I took to Ife was soaked inside out, I experienced the highest improvement after some weeks before it relapsed again.

What we are experiencing is caused by Sinuses and from what I found, it can block the ear and cause muffle sounds. You will hear much better with hearing aid but try as much as possible to still find an ENT hospital. A friend recommended one at Maryland and I plan to go there as soon as I can.

My left ear does not produce ear wax like a normal ear should since this problem started. I also noticed that when I sleep under fan and wake up, the nasal congestion gets worse AND hearing loss increases too. I do feel pressure in my left ear when I try to talk, as if something is stopping the sounds from coming well. I feel the sensation like it is colliding with a wall.

I am experiencing a relapse again as I type this but after some days, I will be able to hear my voice again. I also have a strong believe that IF the nose can be treated, my hearing on the left ear will improve as well.

The reason why i said it is the nose is because the only place I experience irritation or sensation or reaction is the nose. For instance, during cooking... I sneeze easily while other people around don't. I tend to feel hearing loss more when the nose has increased congestion, I feel it. When I bend down to pick something and stay in that position for like 2 minutes, I feel nasal congestion build up and when I talk in that positon, I don't hear my voice well until I raise my head up and stand upright.

A lot of the reaction I have observed is in my nose. I just feel there hasn't been a proper diagnosis to help.

What is yours like?

I don't know if Q12 is still on nairaland to help us out with directions to take.

Hi robotix I have read this thread from the beginning till end. I have just exactly the same issues with you. The same way you talked about the sounds you hear and how it started. Infact, you have made me to understand that quinine could've the cause. I was given quinine when i was at a very young age of about 9years old back in 1999.i believe that's when the decline loss of hearing in my right hear started. Even though I was hearing well with my left. But later in 2006 I started having periodic tinitus and ever since then, despite visiti g hospitals, and being used as specimen in teaching hospitals , taken drugs etc I have been experiencing decline in my hearing. Infact I hardly hear any conversation only vey loud sounds. To cut the story short. From all what you have said. We have exactly the same issue and I believe it's cause by the same drugs. QUININE. PLEASE I WILL BE GLAD IF YOU CAN CONNECT ME WITH YOUR DOCTOR OR RECOMMEND SOMETHING USEFUL. I AM SERIOUSLY DOWN. I HARDLY HEAR MYSELF WHEN I SPEAK. THATS HOW BAD ITS IS NOW. HELP PLEASE lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

You experience any form of nasal congestion?

Sorry, I just log into this account now and saw your comment.

Mine has been relapsing and declining. Some times it shows improvement but relapses again.

I am tired. Only thing left is that I can still use phone clearly and now manage to support myself with hearing aid in the better ear.

However, I noticed that the current problem is connected with sinuses cos when I used nasal spray for the first time due to severe congestion. I had improvements... For some time but after some weeks, it relapsed again.

I am suspecting that mine has to do with obstruction of the ear tube that connects to the nose.

Hmm, I have similar problem too, and I have some history with chloroquine as a child.
I was once completely deaf, but after surgery my hearing was restored but since then it has never been the same.
I went for test recently, the doctor told me it was a problem of the inner ear, and that it will require surgery and recommended national ear care centre kaduna or specialist hospital gwagwalada Abuja. I just bought the drugs recommended by the doctor, cause I don't have money to go for the surgery, I am still serving, how many months alawee I Wan use, lol.

Hearing loss of any degree is bad, I have been accused of being a snub many times, or being unattentive.

It has not be easy for me. I am just getting by. Some times I ask what did I do to deserve this.

Wow! I will have to check their profiles and get back to you on this.

This thread actually started as a joint effort by so many people, to highlight the contributions of Yorùbá people in the business and industrial world.

Members of a certain ethnic group, had been throwing lousy taunts, sly innuendos and outright insults, at others by claiming that Yoruba people knew next to nothing about business, and could not lay claim to success in the field.

A number of people saw it as an affront and proceeded to catalogue a list of successful enterprises, owned by Yorùbás, in order to confirm they could hold their own, anywhere within the business circle.

That was what led to this mini- project on Nairaland. It was created by a wondrful omolúabí woman named kn23h .

Both Yoruba indigenes and even non-Yorùbás contributed, in a spirit of camaraderie, fun and diligence. People like totit, Jetleee, wristbangle, Deomelo, okway, EvilMetahuman, Omofunaab2, ODVanguard, oodualover, MasterChen, robotix, hilroy, mercyville, Shukuokukobambi, OkutaNla, Basic123, etc.

But too many forces were opposed to this initiative. Even the owner of Nairaland and its moderators kept banning many of the contributors, each time we stood our ground against the falsehood of other ethnic groups, and their efforts to derail this thread.

Several contributors were vilified and got their accounts banned.

The thread was moved around and buried in some nondescript sections, where many people could not even get access to it.

We had to argue and plead on several occasions, to bring it back to the main section.

Some excellent contributors got discouraged and left. e.g. Deomelo, Dumaknasset, and others I cant even mention.

Even my good friend Laudate, who despite not being from the Southwest is an avid supporter of their efforts, got banned severally, from several days to months.

Anyway, this thread lost its flavour after a while when the main people departed.

I just log back in from time to time, just to check up on things in my friends absence.

Nairaland could have used this thread as a way to foster pride and excellence among different tribes, with different ethnic groups cataloguing the exploits of their own people.

Instead, Nairaland moderators did their best to kill it, and make sure it never served its purpose.

I would love to highlight all the new companies you mentioned, but I am afraid I wouldn't be able to do justice to them, without the support of the solid team, we had in here previously.......

It would take me quite a while to get back on track, and put up the profiles you had earlier highlighted.

Good evening... I am not surprised by your comment. The mods here are often like that and it is one of the reasons why Nairaland is not living up to its full potential and the owner thinks he would continue to remain number 1 in Africa... It is only a matter of time.

Man is amazeballs when it comes to shooting out edutaining emails. They all mostly learned from Matt Furey, though. Matt Furey is elBenbo's (Ben Settle) mentor.

P.S. You should check out Waju -- that's another Nigerian marketer who knows his email marketing onions.

Waju is a beast but there was something dangerous he did with his skill that does not sit well with me...

Waju's last product, combined with Pat's edutainment email was like messi memerizing soccer fans... it was a jaw-dropping terrific combo. Those guys are good!

These are some of the most-revered email copywriters in the world...

Join their email lists and check out the kind of emails they send out. You will learn from reading their emails alone.

1 Ben Settle - bensettle.com
2 Matt Furey - mattfurey.com
3 Chris Ozerchowski - theemailcopywriter.com

Start with these guys.

I promise you, you will start getting a grasp of email copywriting from what you learn here and what these email gods send out.

Also, check out the blog, CopyHackers, and read their posts. They will bring you up to speed on the game of copywriting.

Lessons continue tomorrow -- today was a really busy day.

P.S. I see many questions up there... will tackle them tomorrow morning.

You should add our own Nigerian Ben Settle....Patrick Ogidi. Dude is good. I have unsubscribed from other Nigerian IMers but left his.

The best email copies are fun, entertaining with coined words (Patrick Ogidi is very good at this) and educative... Patrick Ogidi calls his Edutainment lol

This is what we are saying

There are other meaningful ways this government can generate huge income but they always want shortcut

It's proven that throughout the world, south Western part of this country has lots of medicinal plants that good for human consumption but govenmnet can't spend money on research instead they prefer to spend money looking for crude oil in lake Chad

We have large parcel of fertile land but government has refused to grow anything on it

In the past, Nigeria is the largest exporter of cocoa but now the case is different

Exactly my anger. This admin is just a bunch of thieves. Some time last year, they came with similar idea such that they wanted to be taxing people who run ads via facebook.

In their mind, they think it was something like the offline business that they enjoy frustrating... I was just there wondering how they are gonna implement it. One person took them to court and they lost the case. Though some guys were panicking but I told them not to worry because they can not implement it because they lack the system to do that.

As far as this internet thing is concerned, whoever came up with the idea (like a thieve) in on a wild goose chase cos they will waste their time. They are always looking for where to steal.

I'm sorry, I've been out of this country and do business in 3 different countries presently. I know implication of tax but it's unfortunate that you are yet to come to terms that Nigerians are paying heavy tax with nothing to show for it

Cars is cheap in Canada because import duty there is very low whereas used cars is very expensive in Nigeria because import duty is on high side. Same thing goes to lots of imported products, nobody is talking about toothpick here even almighty America do import so please don't tell me patronize naija things. Import duty was part of tax if you care to listen and directly or indirectly, you as final consumer of all imported products pay tax

Go to Dubai or ask anyone living in dubai to tell you how much they pay as tax, & compare Dubai with Nigeria.

Nigeria is taking loans that will be shared among few people while hard working poor Nigerians repay the loan

See, not until you begin to reason like common man and not praise singer of politician before you begin to see things the way common man sees it

I have container coming from China as we speak and I pray I remember your moniker when I wanna clear it, I will show you what we paid some years back as against what we pay now

Bottom line, EXCESSIVE TAX HAS NEVER BE OF ANY USE IN THE LIFE OF COMMON NIGERIANS

Where I lives, we hired both police & local vigilante offices to guard our area when government has failed to provide security which was part of the reason we pay tax

See, am tired of educating you

Don't even go to saying advance country bla bla bla, am not local bro

In advance country, people see what government spent their tax on and that's not the case here in Nigeria

What's minimum wage in advance country that you mentioned compared to this place?

I ASK AGAIN, WHO PAYS TAX LEVIED ON CABLE TV OPERATORS, SUBSCRIBERS OR OPERATORS?

cynosuree:
Good morning. This issue has been bothering me for a long time, and I feel like it's too sensitive to ask for second opinions from people I know so I figured I'd maybe ask some strangers on the internet.

I've been with my boyfriend for about 6 months now and he's everything I ever wanted in a man. Physically, he's gorgeous, and he also loves me alot. He's kind, he's patient, communicates effectively and all. You know, all the good stuff.

But here's the problem, he cannot hold a conversation beyond "what are you doing" , "what did you eat" (and all that boring stuff) to save his life. I'm not even talking about intellectual conversations like quantum theory or anything, normal conversations about stuff that's happening around the world or around us. Anytime we try to, it usually fails spectacularly. He either ends up missing the ENTIRE point and saying something totally unrelated, or he just waits for me to say what I think so he can go "Yeeaaaa that's true" , leaving me really pissed.

He has absolutely NOTHING intelligent to contribute to any serious conversation, and this hurts me alot because it is a HUGE turn off and I'm slowly losing interest in him. It's a very tricky situation because he does/did well academically, he graduated with very good grades but that's about it...nothing more. I didn't notice it at first - before we started dating, or I would never have dated him because it is a deal breaker for me.

I have considered telling him but I don't exactly know how to approach the conversation without being rude/insensitive, I know telling him would really hurt him and I don't want that. I've also thought about learning how to live with it, because no one is perfect right? Maybe I'm asking for too much?

The latter option is what I've been doing and it's gradually killing me. I fear that I'll fall out of love completely with him and end up hating myself for ruining a good thing, because he's a really good guy .

I'd like to know what you think
you are lying and this is just a post to measure public opinion with fake story...

good luck to anyone who wishes to answer
