Everyone knows already which side you belong so you don't need to lecture me, infact no APC fan has any moral ground to lecture me on morality, sincerity and truth. I can see how happy you are about the picture of a ''PDP agent crying'' lol....while pretending to give kudos to he fellow. Even if the picture is fake, which I believe it is, you and your fellow supporters would rather want to believe and rejoice over it.
I'll give anything to see your tears on the day Buhari wins the 2019 elections. It will be priceless

He didn't address it to Col. Ojukwu then because Gowon and his gang of usurpers have not taken power illegitimately.

We'll keep saying it for 500th time. Ojukwu was Governor of the Eastern region including calabar where Awo was held, he never recognized gowon and therefore could not have taken orders from Gowon. Stop being ungrateful, Ojukwu RELEASED Awo. Even Governors today in less federated nigeria have the power to give clemency to prisoners talkless of powerful regional governors of those days.
You are lying. Ojukwu recognised Gowon during the Aburi conference, it was one of the conditions attached to the agreement

gidgiddy:
Then that means that Gowon was at fault. When you sign an agreement, it is expected that carry out what you signed. If at a later date, you look at the agreement and decide to amend it, you must call all the parties together to do so. Nobody forced Gowon to sign the Aburi agreement. In fact, before signing it, the President of Ghana, General Ankrah, asked everybody if they were happy with what was agreed. They all said yes. So if Gowon came back home and decided to back on what he signed, blame Gowon and not Ojukwu.
Im not here to blqme anybody. I'm just saying that Gowon acted in Nigeria's best interests by refusing to implement the Aburi accord.

Was it ojukwu that refused to sign the aburi accord? undecided go and read your history and stop embarrassing your self on social media..
Gowon made thew right call by refusing to fully implement the Aburi accord because Ojukwu outsmarted the FG by insisting that the center remain weak so that he could eventually get his Biafra. Thank God that when Gowon returned to Lagos from Aburi, the senior civil servants saw through Ojukwu's plan and duly advised the supreme commander not to implement the accord

Politics › Re: Awolowo's Letter From Prison To Aguiyi Ironsi Pressing For His Release by Roger3D(m): 1:39pm On Aug 11, 2018
agabusta:
Ironsi should have released him. But trust Africans, they can be very greedy when in power.

He knew if he released him, Awo will never back down on calls for return to democracy. In fact, Awo even made mention of his democratic ideals in this letter, and that definitely sealed his fate on getting pardon from Ironsi.

Ironsi gave Nigeria the present day problematic unitary system with so much power concentrated at the centre.

The man that couldn't deliver swift justice to mutineers in the Army will grant pardon to a political prisoner?? Never.

I'm sure Awo is smart enough to realise this and his letter may be based on pressures from his men and for the sake of posterity (us grin ).
You cant totally place the responsibility of the concentration of power at the center on Ironsi alone. Remember that the structural hierarchy of the military and its command structure is highly centralized. I doubt if there has been any military government in modern times that can operate a government with a weak center

APC should leave that traitor safari alone afterall he has but a few months left before he vacates the seat. Rather what the FG should do is distract the crook with an avalanche of new criminal cases in addition to using federal power to harass and intimidate him in the run up to the 2019 general election
