PoliticsOkorocha Will Contest 2015 Presidential Election - Imo Dept Gov by rolchi(op): 6:57pm On Jun 05, 2013
As the calculations for the 2015 presidential election continue to gather strength, the Imo State Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has declared that the state governor, Rochas Okorocha will contest the presidential election.

The implication is that Governor Okorocha will not seek a second term in office as governor of Imo State. This is because; he cannot contest both the office of the president and the governor at the same time.

Okorocha has been at loggerheads with some political stakeholders in the state over whether he would seek a second term in office, as they claimed that he had an agreement with the stakeholders not to seek re-election.

More to follow…

I'm not saying the dude may not be a womanizer, but only God or a ghost would be able to know their personal conversation in the bedroom or plane even though they were somehow able to retrieve their text messages.
I guess I will call those believing this trash simpletons!
Some folks are just hopeless bigots! If the same was written about GEJ and it sounds outrageous, I would speak against it. I don't like being taken for a fool or playing on one's intelligence.
Lol at the mistress wearing seductive dress! I guess the room service and flight attendants also gave the info or maybe it is sanusi's diary that they stole.
Exactly my thoughts too! Just how on earth did they see her with sexy dress in a room supposedly occupied by SLS and Yaro.
This story is absurd. However, SLS may be seeing her but that does not make him guilty of any offense known to law.
Again, how can they prove he spent taxpayers money on flights. If they could get his private text messages, they could have gotten access to his bank details so we know he spent government money on his personal enjoyment.

Politics‘Committee Of Don’t Forget’ by rolchi(op):
Okorocha Sets up Committee to Compensate Supporters

17 May 2013

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has inaugurated a 10-man committee christened ‘Committee of Don’t Forget’ aimed at reaching out to relevant persons that fought for his victory as governor.

Inaugurating the committee at the Government House Owerri, Okorocha said the state’s Rescue Mission administration resolved to set up the committee to recognise those who gave their supports in the fight to ensure the enthronement of the incumbent government.

According to the governor, government may tend to forget those who played virtual roles during the struggle, but asserts that the newly-inaugurated committee will ensure compensation to the deserving persons.

He charged the committee with the responsibility of creating an interactive forum to enable him dialogue and reconcile with members of the groups where necessary.

The group the committee is expected to interface with include the Gold Card members, Keke operators, artisans, youths, women, clergy and agenda group.

The chairman of the committee and Deputy Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Donatus Ozoemena, stated that Okorocha would always rewards loyalty and good gestures.

He, however, called for the data base of those public and individuals who supported the state government during election.

Ozoemena also expressed happiness that the governor was keeping fate with his electioneering promises unlike what was obtainable in the past.

He assured that the committee would do everything within its reach to ensure success in the assignment.

Pedagogue: Under GEJ, impunity is not only thriving, absurdity is the order of the day!!!

Has anyone checked Section 305 of the 1999 constitution ?

The constitutional expectation for a state of emergency declaration is that all political office holders will seize to exist!!! But GEj's coward brand of state of emergency is that the affected states will still have functioning Governors, commissioners and aides!!! What is the sense in that?

Until a full scale state of emergency is declared in those states and politicians no longer CHOP,d boko haram menace will continue!
Brother, you think Boko Haram doesn't know the Constitution...this is ideological warfare! If he appoints MILADS, opposition and bad-belle people will read meaning into it and then the populace may develop latent support for the "civilians" fighting in the name of allah to frustrate Jonathan.
PoliticsRe: Is State Of Emergency The Best Option For Boko-Haram? by rolchi(m): 7:34am On May 15, 2013
mentorken05: The News of the State Of Emergency was a well conceived and political strategised plan to save nigeria from another Civil War ..
Why Some Nigeria feel its a partial one due to the Governors of that state retaining their Executive power , but the Majority believe its a welcome development Long overdue .

In the past in the history of Nigeria , wherever State of Emergency were declared in troubled state by military Presidents ,state powers were delegated to military administrators and in most cases to loyal military officer who supported and planned the coup d e'tal.
GEJ has acted wisely in all sense to make the civilian Governors remain along side the deployment of military officer who will henceforth be in charge of the logistic planning and execution of all security challenges that will be going on in the affected state ..
The Northern elders who kicked against the state of Emergency had an evil and hidden motive , thinking the president might likely appoint non-hausas to become military administrators in Hausa states.
Now he did otherwise the Governors will retain their position while the military will study the situation and if there is any leak the Governors will be heard responsible ... Let's all watch and study this new Democratic definition of State of Emergency and I am fully in support of it knowing it will go along way to bring hope to the hopeless innocent muslims and christians in this affected state ... Long live Nigeria Long live GEJ .
You are indeed a MENTOR...good word.

If GEJ has removed Political Structures, it will cause the Political temperature of the Polity to rise and this will divide the support of the people and ultimately encouraged latent insubordination.

With this...everybody "SHUT UP". Till now, no Press Releases from (una know dem nau)!
PoliticsRe: Speech Of Muhammad Buhari At The Party’s National Convention In Abja, may 11,2013 by rolchi(m): 12:03am On May 12, 2013
Great speech indeed as some Nigerians claim. He has spoken the truth, yes no doubt Nigeria has all these challenges, especially with security. But if I may ask, What will this APC do that the PDP is not currently doing.

For example, if Buhari wins in 2015 (but mark my words), HE WILL NOT and APC will collapse - what will he do? It is the same Civil Service, the same Nigerian Police, the same Army formations. Everything is the same.

All these beautiful speech but he never said one word about how we are going to stop the killings especially in the north where he claimed they pulled so much crowd in less than 6 months. This is a man who is full of clues to solve all Nigeria problems. The north he loves so much is disintegrating but las, not one word to help in bringing peace to the troubled north. Not one appeal to members of BH to sheath their sword on this historic occasion. Alas, if the north moves into 2015 with kind of insecure situation, will Buhari go there to campaign and solicit votes and win elections?

In my mind, APC does not have it. I wonder if it persons like Gov. Roach as Okorocha who understands nothing next to governance that can offer reprieve to Nigeria? A man who appointed several groups of Advisers but asked them to source their own funds to serve the people. Or is Governor Fashola who couldn't accommodate organized labour demands and sacked all striking doctors and yet reappointed them? Or is it El-Rufai who every move sparks controversy? I am yet to see some in this opposition business that can gather Nigerians as one family and save us.

Remove sentiments, remove tribe, remove pride; clear your mind and just think....compare: President Goodluck Jonathan and any promoter of this APC thing, even Buhari or even Pastor Bakare.

In my mind, GEJ is a true democrat!

May God save Nigeria!

egariyi: I will advise you against divorce/separation. its never the best option especially when threat to life is not involved. Have you considered discussing the reasons why your wife did what she did. May be just may be you may not have been satisfying her sexually. Perhaps, you may be the reason!! There is always a two side to a coin. Also, the Holy Book admonishes us to forgive our offenders 70 x 70 in a day! Have you considered how many women are still married today inspite of the fact that their men are frolicking about? some even produced kids outside wedlock yet the woman 'forgave' d man and remained? Please for the sake of that child, I will strongly advise that you consider the option of 'forgiving her completely from your heart' and also discussing her sexual needs with her. I recommend you to read a book called "the total man". May God guide you in your decision and grant you peace of mind.
Dear, read the OP initial post and others he made...this incident happened "8" as in EIGHT months ago. He has done all considerations. HE has prayed, searched his heart; searched the scriptures; talked with his wife; pretended that it never happened; probed himself; etc. Yet, he could not make satisfactory intimacy to his wife. Lets' cut the scripture thing abeg. If the OP is not Holy Spirit Filled, will he have done all these in the last 8 months just to make it work? The Bible did not say a woman can put away her husband for infidelity but wisely said that a man can do so...why? Ask God for wiring His creatures this way.

It is not about FORGIVE and FORGET...its about the OP continuing to be "psychologically" a man! Let the OP separate (and if in the end, he chooses DIVORCE, so be it) and may God help him indeed!

Stop analyzing. Stop trying 2 be logical abt anything. Just take a step back and breath.

Clear Ur head. Empty Ur mind of all thoughts.

Truth is, a dissolution of d marriage will not give U peace. Letting go of d hurt/pain will.
It will be hard, but I'll advice dat unless U have taken in some fresh air, any decision U take now will be rash.

Most pple may not want 2 hear d word 'pray', but believe me God knws Ur every thought/pain. Pour out Ur heart 2 him. U hav been trying 2 deal wt this alone. Now's d time 2 handover everything 2 God.
Winney, the OP said this thing happened 8 months ago and he has tried as a man. He has taken "8 steps" back wards, taken tons of oxygen but could not get himself to have fulfilling intimate relationship with his "wife". Honestly, it is not easy for him. I think any kind of separation will help him heal. But he has to decide.

The Military did not engage a convoy of 50 trucks of terrorists who invaded a town by 4.00pm and having informed residents there were coming...because of "WHY?"

They could have engaged them but the terrorists will still achieve some level of destruction, then the "northern Elders" will score a political point by accusing the C-in-C and the army. This time around, the army stood and watched. They have endured so many hate from the media. Alas, terrorists from another country wants to take Borno State 300 years behind....so sad indeed!

I cry for Borno. But our "Northern Elders" must tell themselves the truth. Our opposition must unite with the ruling party. They must see this as it is...TERROR!

IF Borno is overtaken by Islamists, the opposition will not even go there to campaign. Human Rights Watch will shut down its satellite over Borno. Where is their satellite image of Afghanistan or Iraq or Pakistanhuh

PoliticsRe: I Never Resigned - Imo Deputy Governor, Agbaso by rolchi(m): 3:51pm On Mar 12, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Deputy Governor of Imo State, Sir Jude Agbaso is embattled no doubt, but the question is; has he resigned? Will he be impeached? In this interview with JAMES UMEH he debunked reports that he has thrown in the towel. Agbaso also advanced reasons for his travails.

Q: There are many conflicting stories coming out from Imo State about you; kindly tell us what you know?

A: Ordinarily I would not have granted this interview but at this point it has become absolutely necessary that I speak to the people of Imo State who freely, a little less than two years ago gave me their mandate that ushered me in as the deputy governor of Imo state. I owe them a duty at this point in time in the history of our state given what is going on, to let them know what has actually transpired.
It is a known fact that the media are awash with stories of the goings-on in the state.

First of all, let me start by addressing the issue of resignation of the deputy governor of Imo State. I put on record and very categorically that at no point in time have I contemplated ever resigning as deputy governor of Imo state.

As I stated earlier, the mandate was freely and massively given me by the people of Imo State as their deputy governor. I still owe them duties today. I never resigned and I do not intend to resign. I will continue to serve the people of Imo State as long as their mandates subsist.

Q: There is this question about what led to the stories of your resignation and non-resignation and the stories in the public domain now that you are being impeached by the Imo State House of Assembly?

A: The matter borders on the issues of allegations by a construction company that I received bribe money to the tune of N458m. I also want to use this opportunity to state in very clear terms that at no pointin time did I demand N458m or any sum of money at that from any company or contractor whatsoever in Imo state, and a tno time did the contractor J-Pros (Joseph Dina) pay me the cumulative sum of N458m as alleged by him.

Let me state this here how this whole issue started: J-Pros is the contractor that is doing the job on the present day Sam Mbakwe Road. Prior to his commencement of work in Imo State on Sam Mbakwe Road, I never knew the construction company, the owners of the construction company or the major holders of the construction company. They were a company that was introduced to the state by the governor who issued and gave the permission for the award ofthe contract to the tune of 1.5bn. A contract of this magnitude can only be issued through the approval of the governor. Such approval was sought by me as the commissioner in the ministry of works and gotten to award the contract to J-Pros International Limited.

Thereafter in the month of February 2012, while I was away on a state duty in India, the permanent secretary in the ministry of works applied for the final approval of the job (so that the governor will give his final approval for the job of N1.5bn); the governor gave his approval and went beyond and gave the approval for the payment of N1.5bn to the contractor via the ministry of finance and the ministry of works. Incidentally his approval was communicated to the commissioner of finance who instead of routing the N1.5bn tothe coffers of works ministry for onward certification by raising of vouchers to pay to the construction company after due processes would have beenfulfilled, the money was routed through the office of the accountant general and paid directly to the contractor, J-Pros Ltd. So at no point did I give the approval, for the payment of the money. At no point did I communicate the approval of the payment, and at no point did I pay the contractor. So the question that comes to mind: why would this contractor pay me N458m; for doing what? I heard from him when I went to the House of Assembly that he paid me N458m in anticipation of a job that I will offer to him in the local government. I was the commissioner for ministry of works; the commissioner in the ministry of works never issues jobs in the local governments. The chairmen of local governments issue jobs in the local governments. I never issued till date one single contract in any local government. So how could this contractor have paid me in anticipation of something I was not in the position to give? Anyhow, to cut the long story short, he said that I conveyed instructions to him via SMS to his phone in the month of April and the month of June 2012 stating the companies, account numbers and the banks to pay the sum of N235m and the sum of N133m, respectively. I state here, also categorically and the records can be gotten from MTN(the carriers of the mobile network I use) that at no point did I convey to this man, Joseph Dina, via SMS to pay money to me or to any account, any bank, any sum of money whatsoever.

So his story is completely false and spurious and intended to malign my person.

(Continued Below)
Considering the bolded, I am 100% certain he knows more than he is talking about.
1. For a Contract Sum of 1.5B NGN, the governor gave his approval for all the money to be paid to the contractor...no due process check.
2. Incidentally, 1.5B NGN was paid to the contractor while still executing the job...whatever happens to certificates of job completed.

Given the above, my verdict...Jude Agbaso is guilty and if deeper probed, the allegation will rub off on RAO.

FamilyWorld's Oldest Dad Has Another Baby At 96 by rolchi(op): 3:32pm On Oct 17, 2012
World's oldest dad does it again at 96

An Indian man has become the world’s oldest father for the second time at the age of 96.
Ramjit Raghav was awarded the title two years ago when he had his first born son Karamjit aged 94.
Although he swore one was enough, the pensioner and his wife Shakuntala, 54, welcomed another son Ranjit, last month.

World's oldest: Ramjit Raghav holding his second baby Ranjit at the ripe old age of 96

Speaking at his home in the state of Haryana, 31 miles from Delhi, Ramjit said: ‘What can I do? This is all God's wish. He wanted me to have another son.’

When Shakuntala gave birth to the healthy boy earlier this month at the Government hospital in Haryana, the doctors laughed when Ramjit said he was the father.
He said: ‘They just laughed but they were very surprised.’
Ramjit, who lives with his family in a studio apartment, has high hopes for his sons.

Daddy duties: Ramjit Raghav, 96, with his wife Shankuntala, 54, and sons Karamjit, 4, and newborn Ranjit, is excited to have become a father again
He said: ‘I have been a farmer all my life. But I want them to become high ranking government workers.
‘It's good that I have another son now. Even if one of them dies, God forbid, I will have someone to carry on my family name."
Ramjit admits that as proud as he is of having two healthy sons at his age, his neighbours are more jealous of his sex drive.

Ramjit admits that as proud as he is of having two healthy sons at his age, his neighbours are more jealous of his sex drive

‘I'm healthy and I enjoy sex with my wife. I think it's very important for a husband and wife to have sex regularly and when she asks I will go on all night but for the sake of my child I've put our needs aside for now.'

Father-of-two Ramjit claims that a daily diet of almonds, butter and milk kept him sexually active.

He said: ‘I care for my wife and I give her everything she needs. She is a very happy woman.'
When Ramjit met second wife Shakuntala, he had been a widower for 25 years.
The pair met 22 years ago on a rainy morning at a Muslim shrine, Ramjit asked her to come home with him and she has never left.
'She didn't have any family or friends around, and I wanted to help her,' he explains.
'I took her under my wing and taught her some yoga and we fell in love. Many of my past girlfriends had died so I had never married and then I asked Shakuntala to be my wife.'

Shakuntala believes she would have been dead by now if it was not for Ramjit's caring ways.
She said: ‘It doesn't matter how old he is, I love him and I care for him dearly even, though he shouts at me sometimes.
‘He doesn't seem old to me, he can make love like any 25-year-old man, even better.
