Romance › Re: I Want To Get Married, My Dad Is Having A Strong Thoughts I Will Abandon Him by Romanoff(f): 6:37am On Aug 30, 2020
I'm sorry sir but your dad is greedy, selfish and manipulative. Don't let him trap you.

That prophet thing na scam. Parents mostly okay the card when they don't want you to be with who they don't approve of. In this case, your dad's reason for not approving is his selfishness. Why didn't a prophet give him this prophesy all these while?

Na use them wan use you, be wise. Open an account for your sister's fees and upkeep. You can make it a joint account with only her and you as signatories to the account so you can pay her fees from there and on your own, send her pocket money and still assist your parents.

Give your dad assurance that you won't abandon him.

Nigerian parents will give birth to kids they can't take care of on their own only to make their oldest kids co-parents.

Sad.

Real human hair like this costs a lot of money, don't worry about average Nigerian women, especially those on Nairaland. The range of hair they buy is from 20k to 100k.

To the Mods who banned me for "gutter language" used on their senseless oga, I just dey laugh Una.

No be only am Sabi craze o. Make all of us dey craze together. Radarada

That guy is a notorious killjoy. That was how he brought his miserable aura into the food section trying to cause commotion. Very pathetic man he is.
It is very evident.

Benzboys:
Oga I go tell you true.
This woman over cheat you.
1)she's not that pretty.
2)She's older and the gap is very visible to some of us.
3)She doesn't look like someone doing very well too, unless maybe na miser.
So I ask, what do you stand to gain from this kind of compromising union?
And funny enough you seem to be doing well.
This is all a bubble or charade and i doubt it would last,or perhaps she fooled you with love and free puna to the point where you lost your common sense.
Anyhow bro,enjoy...
Happy married life.
People like you are so bitter and try to rub it off on everyone else but you've failed o. You've failed horribly.

I am not older than my husband, beauty doesn't make a happy home, I might not be as rich as the women you move around with but who I am is enough for him.

Good luck with your perfect woman and I pray she's everything you dreamed of.

I lost interest when I saw the Kneeling in the proposal pictures...

Nothing special, just another S.....

Let me stop here before I get ban.

.

....

The urge to complete that sentence is to strong, I can't control it any more..
Just another si.... God please help me.

Fxxk shxt meen... Just another sim... Oh no
It is okay to think Men who kneel to propose are Simps, but what is not okay is to try to belittle men who choose to do.

When it is your turn, borrow a crane, Julius Berger has a lot of those, climb it so you can be high in the sky and the lady will be ant sized on the ground so you can propose.

No one will judge you if that's how you choose to do it.

Don't call my husband names cause he knelt and asked me to leave my single life behind to build a home with him.

Nairaland General › Re: Mention The Good News That Made You Lose Your Appetite by Romanoff(f):
One time our rent was due, I had more than half of it but just needed some to balance it up. After asking someone for help, the person kept telling me to call him back until the deadline, I kept calling, he didn't pick up, i sent text, he didn't reply, I sent WhatsApp messages, he'd read and not respond.

Me, my mum and my sisters joined our hands and prayed for divine intervention. Not up to a week, we were having dinner, my mum's church welfare department sent her money that was even more than the amount we were looking for. See ehn, na so all of us go keep food begin sing praises o. I will never forget that day.

The same America also got many shows to be ashamed of. The idea of BBN came from where? India? Rome?
This same America has a lot of better shows as well that are well sponsored. If you check DStv, you go tire.

Big brother franchise is all over the world including the US,

Fyi. there are other unusual shows:
In the UK, there is a show called Naked Attraction where people date in their birthday suits (stark naked)
In the US, UK, Australia and other countries there is a show called 'Married At First Sight' where people get married (usually) after meeting at the alter for the first time

etc
I know that, but for all of these Shows, there is balance. Shows with good sponsorship that benefits kids and youths.

Even who wants to be a Millionaire no even dey again.

The same countries you compare Nigeria with have more X rated shows (like the UK's Geordie shore) but since it's Nigeria we are always quick to condemn.

Btw how many viewers do you think kids shows would attract in this part of the world, how many Nigerians even know about Cowbellpedia not to talk of watching it. Whether you like it or not Bbnaija has come to stay.
And when it comes to technological advancements, how has your country faired?

You can't watch "The Science of Stupid", "Battle Bots" or Mega Structures" and put up a lame defence like this.

All the best in your Big Brother.

Romanoff, we may moan about this all day, but the biggest benefactors in all of this are the Sponsors, then the housemates. If you were a profit driven executive of these companies, you will sponsor it for 100 years non stop.Rather let us question the mindset of people who win at life because their favourite housemate won. People held rallies virtual and physical last season for their faves, engaged in endless e-wars because for their, or contributed money so their faves get the flashy things.
Those other things you listed earlier will fall under CSR. Nothing more
Are there no better ideas for CSR than this nonsense?

I mean, use the 85million naira to build children hospitals, sponsor scholarships, encourage STEM, skill acquisition, I could mention lots of things o.

Bad belle, haven't you heard of Cowbellpedia or are you trying to tell me the UK and the US don't have reality shows
All you have as a defence for this shameful show is "Cowbellpedia"?

Pray tell us the reward for winners of Cowbellpedia.

I can count at least, a dozen shows for kids in America, please, mention 3 and their cash prize.

The winner for Junior Chopped that I mentioned is 10, 000 dollars.

I dey wait o.

TV/Movies › Re: BBNaija 2020: N85M Prize For Winner Of BBNaija Season 5 by Romanoff(f): 6:57pm On Jul 13, 2020
This show makes me ashamed.

If you watch Food channel, Junior Chopped especially or Kids Baking Championship, you'll see how young kids in America are competing for meaningful things.

Some competing to add to their college fund or to open their own restaurants. Some I saw on the show, already had catering businesses.

I believe there are people with ideas for better shows but they lack sponsors.

No one has been able to tell me how this show benefits Nigerian youths since it's not a Children show.
