Safe for the fact it's a counter thread I'd classify these as rubbish. Just like the original thread lacked logic and critical thinking.

I am single by choice. Not because I haven't had suitors. I am deliberately choosing wisely. I am not desperate. I love myself as I am. I am financially stable. I have a career. I have friends and family who love me. I have fun alone and with others. I enjoy my company alone.

Tell me again, why would I need to hustle fast to get married or for me to be marriageable? Hm?

If and when I decide to marry, I will do it for love and when I find the right person.

I refuse to get married for pressure, society or mother nature or anything short of love
Nicely said.
Romance › Re: Things An "Average-Looking" Girl Can Do That Will Increase Her "Market Value" by ronald4lif(m):
What a thread. Men be appropriating themselves false sense of importance and think they are the best thing to happen to women after roasted corn. Such mentality is why we think we're doing women a favour by marrying them. How a man would assume a woman has to adapt to his ways before she can be seen as a 'market valuable' or whatever that means is mind boggling.

I almost threw up when I read someone cite an example as when footballers are being sold to another club to give credence to a narrow minded sexism post that is designed to further subjugate women. Never read something as folderol as that comparison commercialising women.

A woman doesn't have to live their lives to suit men and be seen as a 'market value' to any one. Marriage is not the goal of every woman to have to live to please a man or make him propose. What this thread is suggesting is that women should stop being their natural self and jettison habits men find to be offensive and abhorrent. We don't have the right to dictate and set principles on how anyone should their lives.

Neitzsche:
I agree and disagree with you in several ways.
I sincerely believe in honest communication where life partnership is concerned; two people might not necessarily have sex to know each others intimate detail, medical tests and honest communication should suffice. The again it depends on the two individuals in question.
How many people would be honest about their sexual deficiencies when they know it can ruin the affair and possible marriage plans? That's the problem. Humans would always want to lock up on any information that might risk their affair.

While medical test is a good approach but how many couple would entertain the idea of running different medical test apart from the conventional blood group, genotype and HIV test. And medical test might not be able to prove a person sexual proficiency and their sexuality.

Not entirely dismissing the need of sexual preservation till marriage, if it conforms with one's belief and moral values fine but they should consider the pros and cons to avert heart-wrenching stories.

Not true. You must have been hearing that from Nigerians who happens to be one of the most bigoted people on earth. Just take a look at the way we attack each other's religion and tribe to understand the level of intolerance that exist within us. When someone commits a crime the first thing we look at is their names and place of origin.

This is the same mindset we take abroad. Once there's any questioning or normal remarks made to us we assume it to be because of our skin colour. Not saying racism doesn't exist but it's very low and beside UK has one of most effective legislation that deals with racist remarks.

True. Even with the much touted liberalism strides achieved by the U.S and the large black community there, the both race (White & Blacks) hardly mix. If you were observant you'd see that hardly would you come across an interracial couple of black and a white. It's rare coz they discriminate against themselves.

In contrast, UK has the highest black-White interracial relationships and mix race kids from both race.

Well said my brother, we always tend to be emotional rather than being rational. Racism does exist but most things we term as racism aren't racism in the true sense of it. Our own form of discrimination is worse off.
Don't mind us. We would have done worse if we were the ones who were in their position to attract migrants. Within us as a country we can see the hate and intolerance that exist among the different ethnic nationalities in Nigeria. We're not in the position to talk about racism coz we're worse off.

why be in u.k when there is u.s. haven't seen the reason why I should decide to base in the u.k with all their racism, than in the u.s. but truth be told they are more organized and civilized than the u.s. but u have %70 chances to succeed in the u.s than u k.
I don't know if you've ever been to the U.S coz you'd have known racism exist there more than in the UK. Britain is one of the least racial tolerance in the world I think second to Canada.

I've never encountered racist attack here and the locals are very accommodating. Thing is, Africans would always play racism cards no matter if it's unwarranted. One might be walking on the way and the police might just stop them to ask security questions, and Africans will say they're victimised. But even the native Brits are randomly stopped too.

I think it's a complex issue. Drive carelessly and get stop by the police they'd say it's cos of their skin colour. True some are influenced by racial hate but we complain about everything. Just like we employ tribalism and religious bigotry in Nigeria we think Westerners are same.

Family › Re: No Sex Before Marriage!!! Is It Advisable? by ronald4lif(m):
I have never understood the rational behind the no sex before marriage rule. That's one of the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Why would someone take a life vow with someone they haven't mated and test the waters about their sexual compatibility.

Sexual frustration is the worse thing that any individual can encounter in a matrimonial. Imagine after getting married you realise that your partner is impotent and can't have an arousal like the pastor in this story.

Not too long ago, a friend told me how his cousin sister got married to this guy who lives in Switzerland. Guy was around 40 and was facing immense pressure from his mum to get married as first son. He then told his mum to find him a wife. Long story short, it turns out guy was gay and that's was why he never cared about marrying. The lady being one who fancy no premarital sex doctrine was delighted when he caution of no premarital sex not knowing that bobo don't do girls. The marriage has since collapsed.

How about a lady insisting on no premarital sex only to turn out a lesbian after marriage with no affection towards heterosexual sex?

How about a sexually active lady getting married to a guy who can't last more than 2mins and can't go beyond a round? How about a sex maniac guy marrying a lady only to discover that the lady can't balance his urges and libido? A recipe to cheat I presume.

If I were a lady and a guy settles for no premarital sex, I'd question his sexuality and proficiency no matter how religious he claims to be. Something is not right somewhere.

It is one of the reason Jonathan is angry with them. They stole so shamelessly, even Jonathan cannot imagine what they will do with all that. Even the money he gave some of them for campaign, they looted it.

Now Jonathan can only hope that God will use Buhari to teach them a bitter lesson and get him revenge.
Do you really think such amount of money would go unaccounted for without GEJ's knowledge? That's not possible. He's neck deep in the looting and it's only a matter of time before more details of his involvement is unearth. No way will a monumental loot of this proportion occur without the president's knowledge. If he isn't complicit he wouldn't have axed Sanusi when he blew the alarm.

On countless occasion many media reported on the ostentatious and flamboyant lifestyle of Diezani with concrete evidence and civil society groups calling for her sack but was she ever fired? Your write up is misleading and suggesting that Jonathan isn't culpable in the massive petroleum fraudulent dealings which is premature, impossible and unfounded.
Family › Re: Should She Abort The Two Months Pregnant Or Not. by ronald4lif(m): 2:04pm On Oct 05, 2015
How did the husband know he's not responsible for the pregnancy? Did they had a test to confirm or could it be that he's impotent and concealing it from his wife? I'm assuming the latter is the case even if they had a medical test to confirm. He's a fraud for shielding such sensitive information from the wife while torturing her emotionally and watch the woman seek for help thinking the problem lies with her.

At this juncture, it's up to her decide between keeping the pregnancy and a divorce. She can't have it both ways and should opt for what is best for her.

But why did she cheat on him and who's responsible for the pregnancy?

Grow up with your myopic mindset. If you could think your husband can molest his daughter then you're the one with a perverted mind not him. And if you can conclude he can molest his baby daughter when bathing them he too can think you can molest your son.

If depression can influence suicide and murder nothing should be ruled out. It's possible to lead one to child molestation but anyone suffering from depression should seek medical help coz no crime will be dismiss on the basis of depression. If sex workers haven't down tools yet then I don't see why one should commit rape.

Stop displaying your ignorance. A wife is not a possession or some sexual tool. Any forceful and non-consensual sex is rape, whether it's your wife or not.
