Actually by that time some women will be dressing with only pants-on judging by the media advertorials fueling sexuality and the competition to out-do each other on who's more sexy/appealing to men. A lot of female already dresses like this and even worse.

Shhh, you don't call it sh1t. You see, we're Africans and we men can do whatever we like and get away with it. Flirt, bang and have multiple girlfriends/wives but a lady can't dare talk to another guy when in a relationship/marriage. I mean she shouldn't even think of saying hi to a guy. We'd call her a hoe and ashawo make she try am. We were brought up with the alpha male attitude and you Adaeze and your likes can't do nada, zilch. wink tongue

I'm not sure they're talking about cheating...Keeping open doors is in the sense of not totally cancelling out nd shutting out potential suitors,as the case may be....
Hmmm...didn't know some people can still be friendzoned. Coz by keeping doors open means you're casual friends with people who have made known their intentions of having a romance with you albeit you bounced it. So either by rejecting their advances or adamant to give a precise response means they've been friendzoned if they're still exchanging correspondence with the person.

on a brighter and a normal note, a lady in a relationship aint suppose to flirt with a man, its not culturally right, but d case of a man is different, we can and its allowed bt not in d presence of his girlfriend, so what im saying is that a guy can check his girlfriend's phone but the girlfriend cant do that to him.
I can't wrap my head around what you're saying. Please what culture states that a man can flirt but a woman can't and since when has this culture been in force? Seems I'm too victorian and not in tune with 'modern' lifestyle.

Maybe it's just me but I don't like the idea of joint account and/or assets, wife or not. It's my believe that everyone should maintain their finances whatever way they like.

But if the joint account won't mean you jettisoning your personal account and deposit all your joint earnings then fine. But if otherwise then don't buy into it. I trust you wouldn't want her to know whenever you make withdrawals from the account. The questioning is a recipe for disaster.

so what if he was just writing naughty with his female pals, like i do smtimes with my female friends, we chat intimately and exchange dirty words but dat does not mean im cheating? some guys are just naughty by nature.
Likewise ladies @ bolded.

Thing is, it's in human's nature to flirt, guys and ladies alike. We flirt sometimes just to weigh our self-worth and measure up our ability to attract the opposite sex. Everyone likes and appreciates compliments and by flirting we exchange pleasantries which can be a catalyst to bolster one's confidence too. But the problem is, we'd never accept in good faith and entertain the thought of our loved ones flirting. We just want it to be us, myself and me alone while he/she shouldn't dare. Which makes us hypocritical and self-centred lot.

Romance › Re: How Can I Stop Being A Nice Guy by ronald4lif(m):
Work on your confidence around women first. When you're overtly nice to them they consider you weak and unattractive not impressive.

When your confidence is soaring there will be a turn-around to your relationship experience. How to go about improving on your confidence I can't say precisely. You stated you're a student let me highlight some campus life character you might be exhibiting and which is unhelpful when making advances to ladies. Let's say you're wooing a certain girl or have intentions to woo her.

She keeps telling you to secure a seat for her during lectures because she comes late and you always do exactly like she said. Impressive right? No. When she plead with you to secure her a sit and after obliging once and maybe twice you have to reject and stop doing it and tell her straight up you can't as you're not her handbag or guardian to run errands for her. Another could be that when she plead you buy her refreshments in the canteen, do it once or twice and stop it forthwith. These are just two scenarios but I'm sure you can get the bigger picture.

What happens when you always carve into her request is that she doesn't only see you as a weakling, pushover but gutless and indiscipline. While women appreciate nice gesture they don't want a man who's not bold and firm. One of the major attribute women finds attractive in men is their boldness and their gut. These are characteristics that exude manliness, the ability to be firm and take decisions. No woman like a yes yes man. It's a turn off.

When a pretty lady besiege 10guys with request for instance, chances are that at least 7/8 would do her bidding while the remaining two would decline. They're used to having guys dance into their tune so they find it uninteresting and unimpressive but are intrigue when a guy decline their request which is uncommon. And it would piqued their inner mind to get know this courageous guy. For you to be taken serious, stand out of the crowd and distinguish yourself from the bandwagon.

That's not true...wrong premises... wrong conclusion!...These people used to be good friends, according to the OP...she's probably trying to get things bk to the way they used to be...

#Philosopher Quëën#
Your assertion is very unlikely to be the case. The possibility of a lady initiating a sour friendship back with someone she rejected just for 'friends' sake is very diminutive. The scenario playing out here is that she loved the attention she was getting from the guy and never thought he'd cease chasing her. She thought the advances was a seamless tradition which she cherished but was taken aback when the guy moved on.

Perhaps, the guy might have been using a hotter lady as her dp and she started sobering and want to have him and oust out the 'new' babe who has 'replaced' her lol.

You'll agree she won't nurse the thought of having their friendship back if she's aware the guy won't be sweet talking and chasing her anymore.

trapQ:
No she isn't. You see? What you guys fail to understand most times is that when a woman "first" turns down your request for a relationship, she actually means it. Trust me, if she "loves" you, she won't turn you down but instead wish and pray in her heart that you'd ask her out just so she'd say yes. She may be tripping now, but in my opinion, its just "frustration attraction". This happens when you feel drawn towards someone "only" cuz they withdrew or distanced themselves from you.

But then, I MAY BE WRONG grin grin
While true but not absolute. There are some girls who'd never give a positive response when making advances regardless if they're head over heels the guy or not. They'd be dragging it reason being that they don't want to appear cheap and depreciate their perceived value. And would start losen up and give subtle signs once they realize the guy has moved on.

I never said anyone who doesn't isn't nice.
I only had a problem with the sissy tag.
And I still don't understand the reasoning behind the correlation of doing chores for someone you care about and undermining ones personality.

Though I'd agree that some people do abuse and take for granted such acts of chivalry.
Well, chores varies and I would perform any other task. But this one is out of the mark, sorry.

Your decision which I have no right to argue with but calling other caring and reasonable people sissies for it seems rather ignorant.

Well, I'm glad to know your wife would be free of her 'traditional role'
And you think it isn't naive to conclude anyone who doesn't does so is uncaring and irrational? How nice.

It has nothing to do with caring but rather manipulative and undermining one's personality. Some of you who would want your man do your laundry will be same who would tell friends how he worships them by washing their pants.

Why would anyone even washes the other clothings when they have hands?

tosyne2much:
Though I have never been loved by a lady, but I think that's what true love entails cool
Rightly said. If there's any such thing as true love then it should exist and resonate without reason. When there's a reason for loving someone then it's not real. It's only subsistence so long as that 'reason' persist and as soon as the reason for 'loving' the person disappears the love breaks down.

To put it in perspective, if a lady loves a guy based on his money and the treats he provides or if he loves him for his intelligence and he suffers a mental defect and lose his wealth what happens to the supposed love? I'm assuming she'd take a walk out of the affair as the reason for loving him is no longer present.

What this means is that any love that has reason and explanation is questionable and unreal. If it's real there shouldn't be any influencing factor and should flow naturally.

In light of this, when next a person tells us they love us for so so reason there's a need to be worried. So OP, your babe is in tune with the real love if her response is sincere and she's not being evasive.

Well, though the quantum of her indulgence is surfeit almost every woman is culpable of same miscreancy.

Understandably, some ladies indulge to feel good in their skin but majority intemperance is as a result of their dessicated self esteem and dire desire for men's validation and for cheap brownie points.

Some ladies can be mistaken for a masquerade with superfluous 'painting' of their faces. It beats logic why someone would part ways with huge banknotes to enhance their beauty only to end up like a lamia.

Be that as it may, moderate beauty enhancement should be embraced rather than this fraud, chicanery and manipulation of the human intelligence.

Like someone already opined, I think it's safe to say every guy should initiate a bait for a swim with their girlfriends to strip their beauty modification and expose their facade to bear.

I know of some people who later got married to an ex
I've got to agree that there's nothing wrong with reconciling with an ex provided the circumstance that led to the split was inevitable and didn't lead to bitterness.

In some cases like for instance it was due to distance or cheating but it later turn out that you both now live in same city a reconciliation isn't out of place.

That he/she cheated doesn't mean they'd indulge again. Let's face it, everyone have once cheated in their lives or harbour the thought of cheating. And the difference between a person who cheated and the one who nursed the thought is the opportunity they never had.
