Halimi24:Well, we blame the West for everything. It's easier that way than to accept responsibility for our misdeamenor and human's inherent flaws. It's always the other person's fault and not ours. Just same way we fault them for gays and lesbianism practice which science has proven was in existence long before the advent of civilization. These abhorrent behaviour have been with mankind and cut across race, religion and background but many have conveniently chosen not to admit it. The only difference between now and in the past (and the West) is because of the social media awareness and human/women right groups that have encouraged victims of sexual molestation to open up and not lock up in their shell. |
Oahray:You beat me to it. I was just flipping through to see if anyone had addressed the colligation of men as paedophilia. I take it to be an error on the OP's part or if deliberate then may I seize this opportunity to remind her that children sexual molestation is not limited to the girl child. Although more prevalent with men, some women also abuse their wards and other non-related minors. However, I applaud the message and awareness she's creating that we should condemn this ugly crime against minors and rape generally. |
miszeno:Adonbilivit. Do we still have people this dumb. It's a pity another smart guy has explored and popped the cherry he had the opportunity to, that's if her claim of virginity was true. He stands no chance at getting her back as she'd be excited and glued to the new guy who exposed her to 'real world'. People be shielding their sexual naivity under the pretext of 'I don't want to defy her' or 'no premarital sex'. No pity for him. |
cruzyteejay:Lmao @ bolded. ![]() |
It's ludicrous for anyone to assert that one need marriage to be complete and anyone who didn't perform the ceremonial ritual live a sad and incomplete life. Never heard a buffoonery of such proportion. I wouldn't mind getting married someday even though I'm not enthusiastic about it but I'm a complete individual with contentment and inner felicity and don't need no one to make me complete and wholesome. I'm responsible for my own completeness and happiness and if I can't obtain it myself no one else will. Marriage is just a form of a relationship just like dating, courtship, cohabitation etc. Depending on which phase one is satisfied with there are couple who have settled for courtship without obtaining a ceremonial piece of paper and their union have subsisted more than some married couple and are happier. Anyone who places their 'completeness' on a partner have a problem and I implore they discover what it is and seek inner beatitude before embarking on a marriage as no one can guarantee it for them. Fortunately, I'm not able to dabble into religion as I don't border or subject my thought process on established doctrines and some ancient book. |
kendraloops:You're welcome. Nah, I'm not an employer lol. Just talking from a general point of view. I'm afraid since in Nigeria I'd advise you adopt honesty when/if asked about pregnancy. Not sure but we all know that to a large extent labour rights get infringe on by employers without much consequence from labour union and laws aren't enforced. You might lie and get axed once they notice you're pregnant. So, in that case there's no point to be evasive. My submission was premised on the thought that you're domiciled in the West. Good luck with your job hunt. |
Riodiao:Stop venting your anger on Buhari. This is ludicrous and undiluted codswallop. Why did Jonathan not prosecute Obasanjo during his over 5years in power? Why didn't he probe the other names you listed as the commander in chief? Traditionally, when one assume power they mainly probe their immediate predecessor and not back date it further as it might distract the serious business of governance. Jonathan should have probed Obasanjo if he ever cared about corruption. He was in a better position to probe him than Buhari. Cease from being a cry-baby except if you benefitted from the proceeds of Diezani corrupt enrichment. I also hope you will come out to the battle front when the violence you're preaching materialize. Not just to make incitement and crawl out when it's dawn. And please if you have any information that would indict the following names forward them to anti-corruption agencies for a start. Perhaps if APC witch hunt PDP and they fight back by providing damning evidence against corrupt APC element it will be for the overall good of the poor Nigerian masses. As they might equally be jailed and return our common patrimony in their possession. Finally, be reminded that the task of nipping and prosecuting corrupt individuals and dealings is onerous. One might be corrupt but there's no concrete evidence to nail them. While for some evidence are easily accessible and enormous. |
Toby77:Yes, Ibori is a British citizen. Do your findings and confirm. |
I'm afraid this woman is jail bound, sealed. Anyone who's conversant of how the British forces particularly NCA operate would tell that before they make arrest they have concluded investigation and have concrete evidence to nail the culprit. I heard Nigerian government is making extradition proceedings but it might only happen if she doesn't hold a British citizenship. Otherwise, they won't let it happen as they would have the constitutional power to test her complicity in the British judiciary as one of their national. It will be in her own good if she doesn't hold a British citizenship else her confinement in a gulag is 101% guarantee. Be that as it may, Nigeria is having a serious and action president for the first time since it birth and there's hope in our country. The era of impunity, massive looting and 'stealing is not corruption' seems to be victorian. A very welcome development and should be encouraged by all well meaning Nigerians. |
kendraloops:Not exactly true but that could be an actuality and shouldn't be dismissed. For most reason I think it'll trammel their work force when you take up maternity recess in few months as they'd have to get a temporal staff to fit into your portfolio. No employer want to go through the hassle of routinely recruiting staff, either on temporal or permanent placement and they try to avert it at all cost. Also, they're uncertain about your longevity and commitment to their establishment if recruited. It's possible that you might quit after months of paid leave which put the firm at a loss. This is majorly a factor as you'd be getting paid maternity leave without contributing consequentially to the firm. Permit me to ask where is your base? |
If the pregnancy isn't obvious and noticeable then don't state you're pregnant. You don't need honesty in every situation about life and in cases like this one. Your chances of being recruited by any firm when pregnant is near to zero. Zilch. Depending on your domicile no employer would dehire you coz you were pregnant on assumption of your job for fear of discrimination litigate. You can always claim you weren't aware prior to applying. Do what you've got to do if you really want to get back to work. |
![]() Hahaha. This made my day. Vacancy indeed. |
dicefrost:Rightly said. The OP write up is faultless. In Nigeria, the message every parent and the society passes across to their daughters is how to become good wives, submissive and obey everything a man says whether right or wrong. Hardly do they train their sons to be good husbands and how to treat a woman fairly. When a couple are having feud and the wife narrates her ordeal to her family or in-laws the advise she get is to apologise to her husband. They say things like don't you know she's the man regardless of if the man is at fault. This is wrong. |
Tamee:Someone will need a maternity holiday after our seclusion. I don't miss the goal net lol. But my proposal is only applicable to the opposite sex of mine since we're both making assumptions. What proof do you need to ascertain my sex and why the reservation? |
Tamee:I am but you're entitled to your thoughts. Maybe we should be secluded in a closet and let's see the result after 9months lol. |
bukatyne:Although the bolded is true and to some extend it's even more ardous to perform domestic chores than conventional jobs but it's hardly possible to equate money-making to anything else in life, especially in a capitalist world we live in. Wealth naturally makes people assume power and dominion over others so the majority of family fanancier will likely feel they have dominion regardless of the significance the other party (housewife) feel their contribution to the union may be. Prior to the advent of feminism and it resultant effect to some part of the world women traditionally played the role of a housewife but not until they started attaining education and making progression in topical profession, making their own money, even as they boycotted the mentality of a breadwinner before egalitarianism could make waves and progress. The role of domestic chores and babysitting can be assume by either partner who's not working, male or female alike or split by both which I find more acceptable. But the mentality that a man should be the financial contributor in a /relationship/marriage would not help the feminism struggle in a patriarchal setting like ours on women's path. Chances are that anyone who foot the bills will always feel they're in control. |
Tamee:My gender is obvious. I'm no Catilyn Jenner. ![]() |
Tamee:That statement is falacious, blackmailing and should be outrightly dismiss. Not every woman need a man to make progression and be complete in their respective career and obtain inner happiness. Some are single by choice and happy. Likewise men too. No one should be cajoled to embark on a relationship/marriage coz of what people think of them or societal pressure. They should coz they want to. |
bukatyne:Perhaps I made a blanket statement. But a lot of your clique I've encountered don't assume much of a financial responsibility when in an affair. The aspect of even financial responsibility is where I'm much indifferent with Nigerian feminism. |
proxillin:Ya true. Whoever initiated a relationship or dinner date is inconsequential to the offsetting of refreshment bills. The excuse of you asked me out and should pay is negligible and hold no ground. It's like saying because I proposed to you I should see to your welfare forever. That's a pile of folderol if you ask me. |
proxillin:That's my major problem with them. They are insincere and their feminism charade is one of convenience. Let's be equal in areas that suits me and you can take the lead in circumstances that favours me - Nigerian feminist. An average European is likely to feel embarrassed when you attempt to pay for her refreshment and might caution you not to next time. How many of Nigerian women feminist or women generally can pay for their date? Their flimsy excuse is that you initiated the date so the man should pay. Which is baloney. |
tartarus:Not so much is wrong with feminism in the real sense of that word. Having an equal footing with a woman is not a problem and myself and some other guys don't have a problem with gender equality. However, Nigerian feminists are fake and insincere with their feminism crusade. They don't take equal financial responsibility in relationship/marriage and subliminally still harbour the breadwinner ethos of men. A man is still expected to seamlessly impress them with gifts and treats while they don't or sluggishly return the gesture. You can't champion equality and same time depend on a man for livelihood. |
Admit it or not this is the plight of the average Nigerian woman. They have been brought up to think that without a man in their lives they're worthless. The society mounts incessant pressure on the Nigerian woman to get married if she must be accorded respect. Until a woman understands that she can be complete, happy and fulfilled without a man and a legal enslavement called marriage they would never make significant progress in their lives. And likewise for men in some cases. The gender prejudice that exist in our society is too enormous to be ignored. |
wristbangle:Any lady who gulp such expenses on a dinner date lacks morals and self-respect. She's only good for shag and nothing else. Just satisfy your sexual desire and 'red card' her. ![]() |
redgem:I'm glad it's 'just'. It seems we're making progress then. Since you called on Tosyne let's wait for his blessings before we proceed proper. ![]() |
wristbangle:You see, that's it. The 30k range was exaggerated but still hardly will a lady exhaust such amount on one date. So if at the end of the day the guy plays his card well, he might hit 'landmines' and eventually discard her if he feels he can't continue with the affair. |
redgem:LOL! Redgem did you read the last line of my initial comment. Are you up to the task? ![]() |
bqlekan:Yes o. I no be jjc nau. Na who come Lagos newly them go play no be alaye. ![]() |
wristbangle:Well, that's it sha. Can a lady consume more than 30k meals at a seating? I strongly doubt. In any case we end up catnapping beneath the sheet after the date I don't think I'll complain, really. It'd be worth the quid. ![]() |
wristbangle:Not really. I've had a date where the lady would usually order for take away packs running to a few thousands for her siblings and not certain if that should count as maga-ed lol. I think it's about buckling up when out on a new date when you're not sure the type of person the lady is, if she's a glutton or someone with self-respect. That way there won't be any amount of refreshment bills one can't offset. Traditionally, dinner bills are often frugal and aren't something I feel solicitude about. I can only be bothered when/if she's ungenerous in regards to performing her coital responsibility. ![]() |
Jollyjoy:Oh goodness. He couldn't ring someone to come bail him out. ![]() |
If I hear say you no wash plates that day ehh. |
