Sveen:As much as one hate to admit it Nigeria hasn't made positive progression since independence. The country has been benefitting just a few fat cats who have never cared about the citizenry they're meant to serve. But we can only hope it get better. That's all we can do actually...hope. Sincerely, I do also doubt if our differences is a hindrance to our collective progress. Perhaps we would have made significant progress if every ethnic nationality were to secede and develop at their own pace...perhaps not. Normally, our diversity should be seen as an asset and strengthen our resolve to make Nigeria work for everyone. But like they say when the head is rotten, the body becomes pathogenic. |
Sveen:Well, I don't usually celebrate convivial but this day is an exception. I admire and cherish our sovereignty than an imperialism empire. We shouldn't have been colonised in the first instance. Our culture, values and way of life have been subdued and almost extinct. |
Sveen:Good day Doyen. Greetings. I presume you had a lovely Independence Day memories today. |
vickylexxy:Oh I see. The name sound feminine and I just assumed you are a lady. |
Lol! I've read this several times but I still always laugh every time as if it's new. ![]() |
vickylexxy:Interesting. Rooney has been mostly wasteful since this season so no disappointment about him. I'm glad we won and hoping the winning streak continues. Good to see a lady who loves football and is passionate about the game. |
vickylexxy:I didn't watch yesterday's game, was occupied. |
vickylexxy:Yes o. A staunch one. |
Will adopting a child stop people from mocking you? Or you plan to deceive everyone you got pregnant and birthed the baby naturally? I understand the need to have a child and protect your image from the public but doing so to please anyone is not the right solution. Adopt a child because you sincerely want to not for anyone who can't mind their fvcking business. In doing so, you may not love and protect that child interest like you'd the one you birthed yourself. I think it's time we start living our lives the way we cherish and love without giving a hoot about what anyone think. Anyways, good luck in your search for a child. |
This just reminds me why I love this club. Thanks Manchester United fc. |
hanubarbie:You've got it wrong. He's got no right impelling her to move over to his place if she doesn't want to. She's no property or possession that he can subject force to take ownership of. She's made a decision she doesn't want to move in with him and it's either he respect it, courteously convince her or initiate divorce proceedings. No one would institute divorce for him but himself. That someone is a wife or one performed some hoary dowry practice doesn't mean they have the right of dominion over them. Sorry to say but your logical process is antiquated and archaic. |
hanubarbie:Okay so he's got right and freedom to get her back to his house without her consent coz he paid some dowry? |
She gives you cold shoulder you give her too. When she doesn't call you don't call her as well. That's just exactly the way I'd have threaded if I were in his shoes. Treat her in similar fashion she treat me. Perhaps her father is up to some mischief and is harnessing a relationship with her daughter to some other guy and don't want you in the picture anymore. This is what I'd seek to find out if I were you so I can know when to institute for child custody over my daughter. No time to waste. If they don't want the marriage anymore I need to have some parental custody of my child, file for divorce and to hell with them afterwards. The wife and her father are shameless for chastising him for his inability to secure a job when the wife herself is unemployed. Whoever told them that a woman has right to idle at home but the man work his ass off is as silly as them. I'm guessing they still dwell in the era where a woman's duty is to stay at home and breed while the man works. What codswallop. Any woman who doesn't work have no right to hate a man who doesn't. Atleast not in this age of gender equality sentiment. Had she had something going for her she'd have been the one financing the family till the man finds himself another job. Only lazy beings always feel false sense of entitlement on another's earnings. Nonsense. ![]() |
tosyne2much:My biggest boss, I just dey stealth mode dey learn from your experience and learned self. ![]() |
redgem:No need waiting for him sha, wristbangle can also pass the test of a real man. ![]() |

His response are consequent and nicely articulated. Muslims arguement is that once a lady reaches puberty she's ready and suited for marriage but not without the bride consent. Sanusi has said that his new bride wholesomely consented to their union and I don't see how that's a problem. While I don't submit to their matrimonial union nor encouraging teen marriage or child bride but the lady is 18 which is the official age recognised globally for marriage. Many people are against the union cause of the age variance, and rightly so but there are many of such marriages even in the West where young girls marry way older men. Not too long ago one Russian actress of about 20 married a man of 70 plus years. What's the difference with Sanusi's case? There are many such cases in the southern part of Nigeria too. Like the Dabota Lawson and Caroline Ekanem ladies. In my village, 2006 December, a girl of about 16 was married off to a man of about 70years as 5th wife or so, for political reasons, and both were Igbo. I'm no Muslim but I think non-Muslim adherent should accept other people's religious values, dogma and principles. If you claim the practice of young brides of marriageable age (18) to older men is an aberration then Muslims can also argue the practice of baby mamas and premarital promiscuity which is more prevalent in southern Nigeria is abominable like Sanusi tacitly posited herein. Everyone should accept the diversity of each other's religious and ethnic values for harmony to subsist because theirs have it own blemishes. |
There are instances in which abortion is right and justified. If I'd a teen daughter who got impregnated while still in high school and whose educational progress might be hindered by the upbringing of a child, I would encourage a D&C. If my daughter was raped by hoodlums, terrorist or any individual that resulted to pregnancy I would champion the process of an abortion without hesitation. Even as an adult, and if I were a lady who got impregnated due to my carelessness by a boyfriend who's not enthusiastic about the pregnancy and responsibility, I won't hesitate to perform a D&C. In truth, anyone who's not mentally, emotionally and financially stable has no business having a child. We may argue that they should have adopted preventive measures but that's entirely a different case. Don't breed if you can't offer a child considerably basics of life. The majority of men would say it's a sin and religion condemns it blabla but would never entertain the thought of marrying a single mum. I understand one is not mandated to get entangled with a single mum because they're against abortion but stereotyping ladies who went against the odds to preserve a pregnancy is contradictory and somewhat hypocritical to anti-abortion sentiments. While every lady should adhere to strict compliance to safe sex and ensure they must not get pregnant whenever they indulge I would not fault those who undergo D&C when the odds of healthily bringing up the child is bleaky and the to-be mum's future is threatened. Some ladies who are 'happily' married today had abortion and would not have gotten married coz most men disdain single mums. |
CUMPOLICE01:Hian! You're staying quite long and feeling unexciting just after 2days. You have to ask questions about where their attraction spots are situated and visit as much as you can, else the boredom would get worse. Hotel staff could help if you're camping in one. But I'm guessing the language barrier could hinder a smooth conversation process. |
I don't know what you expected to see in India. The country is mostly suitable for medical tourism not for holiday or relaxation. You can't compare it with Nigeria coz the cultural, heritage and traditional life differs with ours and India is not as diverse as other preferred holiday destinations like Dubai etc. I hope you didn't plan to stay long or you might just suffer depression. |
Many men feel intimidated by women who have more money, budding career and social class than they are. An average man would always want to have dominion over women and successful women would hardly be a push over. Some successful women aren't actually bothered about being single, they love it and never want a committed relationship. To some, the burden of marriage would impede their career progression by the time they start raising a family, taking care of kids and the maternity break. They just want a seamless progress to the apex of their career and business. Successful women preference of men is not the ordinary and everyday choices of the normal lady out there. They usually want hardworking, successful men who up to their caste and socio-economic level. This is strenuous as such men equally don't want women they can't have a control over. Only a handful of men would want a woman who are widely believed to be inacquiescent and obstinate. And common sense should tell an average successful woman might not be as respectful and submissive to the male ego. Studies indeed have it that the rise of women's independence, innovation and success is a major factor to high rate of divorce. In the past a woman would swallow whatever a man dish out to her coz they depend on them and had no other source of livelihood but today all that has changed. Women are major players in top corporations and are important force to global economy and such women who have worked hard to attain success would not entertain the thought of staying beneath a man's authority and ruling. |
redgem:Yep. |
redgem:Hmmm I prefer indulging, go for absolution and seek for leniency from God. I think that's fine too, isn't it? ![]() |
peeparty:Well, good for you sha. I can't be bothered about what the bible preaches against premarital sex. If that was a pawner to securing 'hell' then I think my seat is reserved already. |
I'm guessing when he's ready to part ways with some cash for at least dinner dates and once in a while special treats on a lady without grudging, discommoding oneself or pressurise his parents/sponsor for extra handouts. Reason is because no matter how we look at it money is needed to bolster and augment a relationship and a guy should first understand this before embarking on one. Also when one is mentally and emotionally strong to combine his studies or work without losing focus on their chosen career. Lastly, when he's capable and able to take responsibility to any resultant effect from the affair. Be it pregnancy or otherwise. |
peeparty:Lol! So if it turns out that you don't like the 'mumu' smell what happens? I'm guessing a divorce or perseverance? You see, the 'mumu' smell scenario and it ensuing drama can be averted and forestall if "test-drive". Sex is a very vital component to a marriage and it durability and too risky not taking a plunge before exchanging vows without ascertaining our compatibility. |
With Physics degree you'd really have limited job options even in the West. I think you can take careers in research lab, nuclear power companies, geology but I'd suggest a physicist takes a PG on geosciences. You'll have better opportunities with masters. It's not the best of career path especially in Nigeria. You should have gone for a contemporary course. |
That thing called marriage sha. It appears many people are waken up to the reality and understanding what it entails. It's a rough ride from the word go. Nothing is as scary as that institution. |
You did the right thing. Her excuse for not wanting protected sex is flimsy. But why the reference to tribe ![]() |
tosyne2much:Hahaha, at least your eye don open sha. No premarital sex is a scam and I'll never fall for it. I must access that place or no relationship. Don't have time for nonsense. |
