I will use it to subscribe for my business. Thanks in advance |
I dont understand this your story, is it that you want to break up with the school guy? Or you are angry with the fact that your siblings thinks you are been wayward in school? What is exactly the issue here?? |
Yes he can drop some courses and fill in the CO, I went to uniben and that's even the practice, you have to register for your carry overs first before your level courses. He shouldn't feel depressed, Biochemistry is one of the worst departments in Life Science, he should just push through even if he spends an extra year, it's not a big deal, when I was in school people that were reading a 6 years course were spending extra 3 years in school. He should read as if his life depends on it and leave the rest to God but no matter the outcome he will be fine. |
I guess you should do what she said and give her time, if in 2 months time she doesn't change her stance then you should move on. |
I am seriously broke and depressed right now |
RIP Mr Saint Obi, it's really painful the people that made our childhood fun and amazing are leaving us one by one |

I need money. I need money. I need money. I need money. |
Jennyclay:In this your comment, you are wrong, it's not everytime we will support our fellow woman. N30K is a big amount in this economy and the guy have plans for the money, he helped the girl from his heart and since he made a mistake, the girl should have refunded the money. Nigerians cry everyday but our bad manners and lack of empathy is what is killing most of us, just imagine if he loses a business deal because of the money, even 1k now is money, so stop with the downgrading of others saying "isn't it just so and so amount" |
Jashub:Companies will surely come to Nigeria, they are making money and Nigeria is full of so many corrupt leaders that many of this companies can thrive here. So many Nigerians that are living by One dollar a day is living above their means, do you know many people eats just once a day, but of course let's blame the masses instead of the politicians that hoard our money. In our Town years ago, a oil company decided to create a "Step down" for us, constant light supply but guess what the Town leaders ask the company to pay a huge amount of money to them before they can do anything, something that will Benefit everyone but all they care about is their own pocket. The company went away and still now we are still suffering from it but of course let's blame the masses |
Ballzproblem2:Lol please ignore him, he is one of the problems in this country, maybe he is one of those corrupt officials enjoying the misfortune of Nigerians. I wish Nairaland have a block button so we dont see opinions of people like that |
Jashub:If you think 60k salary per month is a big boy/ girl to you then I don't know what to say to you. Did you come to this life to just eat and die, because that's all the salary can afford, you wont be able to save anything from it and when you finally have a family without a savings and you are buying cerelac for N32k and other things for the baby, then factor in light Bill's, house rents then come back to this. If this was 2012 when things were cheaper and fuel was N165 and dollar was N150 then you can say N60k salary is golden. And dont compare Nigeria to other poor countries unlike all those countries you are naming, we are supposed to have Oil money, many Arabic countries with Oil money like Qatar and co are very rich but we on the other hand are very poor. The politicians are the ones hoarding the money and only their family benefits from it but instead of you to be angry, you are accepting it as a norms and saying "At least we are better than Yemen, Syria, those war ravage countries like come on man, is it that we have conditioned our mind to not like good things that our politicians keep stepping on our heads and we are thanking them saying at least they didn't cut our heads off. We need to change our mindset, countries like USA, UK, Cannada are there, we should thrive to be compare to them not Somalia, Yemen, Syria |
Last week when I visited a friend of mine and she told me how one of her Neighbour attempted suicide, if it wasn't for a woman that saw him and raised m alarm that they were able to save him. In his suicide note, he wrote he was frustrated, for years no good job and he was broke, he just wanted to end it all Nigerians are going through a lot, prizes have skyrocketed with no change in salary, house rents have increased. You go for an average job that dont need connections, the employers will be saying the salary is N60k to N80k, in this economy that one dollar is N700 and you will receive salary of N60k. The jobs that pays well are given to their relatives and friends or those who can pay very well. You will spend close up to N1500 for transport fare daily not to talk of food or money for house rents, how can you survive with meagre salary. Before I use to condemn when i see young guys gambling but now I have seen how many feel hopeless and feel without connections or money they can't make it in this cruel world, so they put everything on LUCK hoping to win that one big win but in 99% of the time, it's wrecks them Today I went to the bank to collect a small thing and there was no cash in the bank after waiting for hours, I had to use my last money to transport back, I had to withdraw 5k for 1k charges. Just how much are we making that we are suffering and the funny thing is there is no guarantee that after the Elections things will be better. I just feel we are living in Purgatory and Nigeria is divided into 2 categories, "The Haves" and the "The Have not" and 95% of Nigerians falls under the "Have not" I hope we survive this hell and anyone planning on harming themselves because of lack of hope, just hold on, pray and know when you hit rock bottom, there is no other way but UP. Good luck guys |
This shit is everywhere, there was one course then that fails student anyhow, funny it was Physics and the same physical science course. You will see people that have supposed to have graduated writing the exams. One of my friend carried the exam for 4 years fortunately she was in a six years department but the course was taking space until a guy approached her, the guy was one of those students that follows lecturer, he told her if she paid 10k then she could pass the course. That was how my friend paid 10k, wrote her name and Mat No and she got a "B" in the course. She regretted in not paying early and wasting her time for years, the guy even told her the prizes for chemistry and Maths, he told her if you have enough money no need to read and stress yourself, just pay and pass |
Lol on a serious note I have noticed that times are changing and some women are not that obsessed with marriage emphasis on the "SOME" The man probably thought she will rush to accept the proposal or thinks he is doing her a favour. If he is really serious, he could have talked about marriage with her beforehand and her plans and know where she stands instead of a surprise marriage proposal ![]() |
kamez:Exactly she could have really withdrawn the 30k but the way society have conditioned our brain to always find hidden reason behind any good deed is really bad. Better safe than sorry I guess |
9jaBloke:During my mum's time, she grew up poor and they only eat rice once every month, so I guess to some people when they were kids eating rice with soft drink was a very big deal to them I remembered one time in a bus I was travelling with, an old man was telling us a story, he was angry that Nigerians were so focused on bag of rice been expensive and he told us how he only eat rice and chicken on festive period like Christmas and Easter, that rice wasn't really a priority then, it was seen like a white people food and they only eat it once a while. It was so wholesome as he was telling us, nowadays rice seems to be the basic food in Nigeria, that if it's expensive, it will be like we are going to starve or something. He told us how he eats cocoyam, plantain, yam and many other type of food, like rice wasn't really a big part of their diet |
