Tell them o. It's common sense really. Why bring children into the world to suffer and or pose a threat to the society. |
GOT fans, from the verge: During a bizarre Facebook Live event held on March 9th, HBO announced that Game of Thrones’ seventh season will premiere on July 16th. The summer debut comes later than previous premieres thanks the producers wanting to accommodate the shooting schedule. THE SONG OF ICE AND FIRE IS NEARING ITS END Last season saw the series enter its final stretch, with Daenerys Targaryen on her way to Westeros, Cersei Lannister taking the Iron Throne, Arya Stark avenging her family, and Jon Snow being crowned King of the North. Now that winter and the White Walkers have come, the Great War is about to begin. https://www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2017/3/9/14870798/game-of-thrones-season-7-premieres-date The official trailer however was released on the 24th of this month, building the already heightened anticipation. From the trailer I doubt the war against the white walkers will start this season, Who else noticed the feminist agenda, all the powerful characters (for now) are women - from Daenerys, to Cersei, Yara Greyjoy and Sansa Stark. Very interesting maybe we ladies will be able to achieve the peace the men failed at. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giYeaKsXnsI |
Instead of you to tender an apology to the Oba of Ife, you are here forming relevant, giving common sense and calling it advice. If not for tinubu sef, who for know you. Even if your advice made sense, how can an "adult" act so disrespectfully and expect youths to ever take him seriously. Mtschweeeee |
Though I was never a fan of Mr. Lia, nowadays I pity him. He's realising that its easier to be the spokesperson of an opposition party than the information minster of the ruling party. The easiest job is that of a critic. Worse still is that he's not articulate and diplomatic, in a bid to defend the government he always resorts to excessive lies. He should take a lesson from Mr. Fani, Nweke or Maku on how to sweet talk Nigerians. |
My issue is this, why do they use that red paint that disfigures the entire building. Or Una no fit just seal the house or write on wall tape. Nonsense, when the owner reclaims the house, they have to start repainting. |
Good job donating, though it goes beyond this, items need to be monitored else it will be diverted. No be naija we dey, Phase 1: Mr. Saraki embezzles federal allocation and donates to IDP Phase 2: IDP coordinators steal part of donation and take home, Phase 3: Thieves come at night to IDP Coordinator's home and collect their own share. And the cycle continues. |
luminouz:Love that quote, pity he died so soon, would have loved to watch him fight in future series, against the white walkers.. |
Our own Donald Duke is coming oh.. 2019 loading... |
DONSMITH123:You are right sha, historically most revolutions involved people sacrificing themselves (either out of frustration like in Tunisia, or killed in the process of demonstrating like Martin Luther). It is well sha, hopefully we can achieve ours without loss of life, peaceful protests... |
If the youths turn out en masse to vote, anybody can win elections in Nigeria. The problem is most people have this "elections will be rigged anyways, why bother myself " mentality. So the elites just rig and business as usual continues. It's high time for a democratic revolution in naija |
adewumiopeyemi:Couldn't agree more, why most relationships fail. |
NARYZ:... |
Kowa all the way. Now I wouldn't use the word "failed"; I'll say he has disappointed Nigerians greatly. The earlier Nigerians start realizing that pdp and apc are the same, the better for our democracy. We need actual parties with ideologies, that don't support cross carpeting. I hope our youths will vote en masse for smaller parties with young NEW faces, not the usual seasoned politicians. |
Could this alliance be why Soyinka has been quiet all this while. The Soyinka I use to know would have commented on the presidents secretive medical trip, rise in petrol prices, herdsmen attack, etc etc etc. |
The holy book says it all " a house divided against itself will fall". It's only a matter of time, so I guess now our watch begins. In other news, GOT 7 July 16th... can't wait. |
Why the Trump picture oh, abegi leave Trump out of this, Gaddafi was killed during Obama o. Though in fairness to Obama, he admitted that Libya was the worst mistake of his presidency. |
Lifeislife:Damn I hope you don't really mean this. From your write up, it's clear you've had messed up past relationships. I sympathise with you on this, because the damage is more than you know. You now have dangerous preconceived notions about men and marriage as as a whole. Though not entirely your fault, this is a huge problem. The chances of you being happy in any marriage is slim my dear, until you erase this mindset. Men and women have always had and will always have defined roles. While civilisation is merging some functions, with single parents or the modern 2 income families, a woman should regardless accept her roles. Child bearing, home keeping, domestic chores, rather than seeing these as punishments , you need to reorient your mind to see them as responsibilities . Most individuals condemn domestic abuse and not all marriages experience it. As someone already said, just because failed marriages are always on the news, doesn't mean all marriages fail or are prisons. It's the same way negative news spreads 10x faster than positive news. For every 1 failed marriage there are 5 other successful marriages. To sum up, though I'm not a psychologist, I'm confident a huge factor why you are still single is because of your mindset, you seem to highlight all the negatives in marriage overshadowing the positives. If all entrepreneurs used your system and weighed all the negatives(business risks)- the 1 million reasons why a business can fail, we wouldn't have the likes of Trump, Dangote & Opera. They rather focused on the positives, so please make a list "20 reasons why marriage rocks" and focus on only these. |
"I must still be sleeping", just close my eyes and continue the dream. |
Opinionated:Yes o, you will always know a typical African by the size and number of giant bags we carry. The light travelers are the 'real' oppressors; after spending the night weighing, removing, reorganing my bags to ensure they fit the size limit- (with jara sef) , these guys are just wasting the baggage provision, 'dashing' the airlines. |
lol, Yes oh, it takes courage to lie particularly when you know everyone knows you are lying, but yet you continue. Thumbs up. |
What saddens me is corruption. If all the donations were judiciously used, there would be over feeding and not starvation. Nigeria needs to kill corruption |
Before should they wait for him.... 2019 is around the corner, campaigns will start in 2018 so no time. Nature abhors vacuum. |
Oh please, of all the pictures you can find. Harerz
|
She's fresh sha. Damn, the creator really took his time moulding her. |
IBreakRules:My dear, while i don't encourage it, i understand it. You only live once, so we should try to spend most of our time happy. If partying responsibly makes you happy, then ride on. This however doesn't include "borrowing" oh. One should avoid borrowing for non-profitable ventures. |
Lol, it's good to party sha, relaxes the mind. |
TheTrueSeeker:Most instructive portion of the entire write up. The media has a duty not only to report news but also to investigate - investigative journalism. Seems most of out media outlets, just wait to hear from the government before they report any news. Quite unfortunate. Sahara reporters, tries a bit, but most atimes gets into a personal war, which undermines their professionalism. |
The headline is a bit misleading. You would think.... Anyways he's perfectly right, the president cannot exercise any authority on leave, all his powers have been transferred to his VP. So until he resumes, he's just like an average Nigerian. |
Couldn't agree more, if you have all the natural resources (like Nigeria that has oil) with terrible human resources (ineffective leadership) the country cannot progress. Human resources/capital is needed to harness the natural resources. I was saddened when I watched the welcome Trump received from Saudi Arabia, that country just like us has only oil, but you can see the impact. Such a beautiful country, with a thriving standard of living. |
loswhite:That's abit harsh, seems you've hard a terrible experience. The fact though is that men need money with that they can almost always get any lady they want, women need to be fine(presentable and sexy) with that they can almost always get any man they want. Ofcourse there are always exceptions to this, but most often you fine rich men marry beautiful wives and pretty ladies get the rich guys. Now, for those of us that might not be "sexy" and or "rich", there's still hope, simply find what you are good at, build and develop yourself in that regard and flaunt it for the world to see. |
Masculity:Government for the people, by the people and of the people. The people here refers to the entire populace, not a fraction of the population. Hope you understand |
deomello:I'm really tired of this back and forth, so wouldn't dignify you with a response again. Must you get insultive, after all I didn't quote you, simply posted a comment. That's my issue with Nairaland, it's very difficult to hold a mature discussion/debate, users too often degenerate to insults. There's really no basis for the bolded above. Skipping past that, when conversing we make analogies. My reference to the Benue state wheel barrow donation is simply an analogy as they are both welfare schemes. So I did in fact read, understand and focus on the topic. Mr. Femi is an elected official, so the funds hes using is that of his constituents, it's behooves on them to monitor, and constructively criticize when necessary. As humans sometimes our views might diverge that doesn't mean you can't respect mine and vice versa. So stick to your view, let me stick to mine. Simple. |
