The person saying that the closure has increased local production is a chronic liar. The border has only been closed for a few weeks, how many things have we produced since then. When Dangote commend the border closure, I kind of sensed that something was amiss. It has everything to do with protecting vested interests and not for the good of the common man. Equip the customs, re-open the borders. The officers should be trained on the dangers of taking bribes and smuggling and let the ECOWAS agreement stand. We can only grow better by doing business with our neighbors. The Nigerian government should instead pressure the neighboring countries to ban the importation of goods that can be produced locally. It should be step by step. We are the giants here!!

We most all - both citizens and govt - stop looking at things from the 'eyes of today' only. We may have to suffer some negative impacts now, but with every other thing you said, we will have better results in the future.

While I agree to a large extent with Moro's argument, I don't agree that 'hunger' or hike in prices of commodities should make Nigeria leave her borders open to all forms of trade.

Yes you can have a voters verification server and system and not have an electronic voting system that should include transmission. Have heard before that in United States of america votes that where conducted manually where transmitted electronically??. We can only transmit votes electronically when we have e-voting. Because somebody that voted manually is not expecting you to go behind and enter result they are not aware of. Assuming the way votes are counted at polling unit and pasted there for verification , inec showed details of electronic transmission to the voters too and agents then we can have a case. But if in the manual authentic result we have A and electronic transmission we have B then we have to discard the electronic transmission because it's not authentic

Despite the government effort to secure the release of the kidnapped Nigerians in Boko Haram's captivity, however some still remains.What is surprising however is the attitudes of some Nigerians who are using the issue to further divide the nation.

Leah Sharibu is not the only girl in Boko Haram captivity. There are several of them. But for the like of Reno Omokri to have singled out Sharibu in his campaign because it serves his hidden motive of religious fanaticism betrays whatever humanitarian principle he might have previously asserted.

I wonder if he would have written the book he wrote were Sharibu a Muslim, because as we write there are still dozens of Nigerians who are Muslims in Boko Haram captivity.

We are human beings and I think our priority should be to ensure the safety of our fellow humans without paying attention to the effermeral differences that has blighted our humanity.
