Foreign AffairsRe: Senegal Gets Rid Of Its Senate To Save Money by RoyalUc(m): 11:30am On Apr 28, 2019
"...the senate...has become a symbol of government waste." So this tin dey everywhere?

I'm impressed!
Shows some African countries still place the development of their Nation over personal interest.

Nigeria will definitely come to this point one day.

read through my last reply for the price sir. means of transporting for agro produce in this country has always by road. but to make it clearer . U can pick it up by rself from town which add 500 to the 6k price of bag .
If I am in PH for instance, are you saying the cost per bag will be #7,500 to deliver it to me in PH?

PoliticsRe: Akin Alabi Says Man Who Rejected House For Borehole Didn’t Make A Wise Decision by RoyalUc(m): 12:12pm On Apr 26, 2019
mystifyer:
Personally, I think the man made a wrong decision without giving it a deep thought. Although his good intentions for the people in his community must be commended. However, they're many other ways he could have gone about achieving his intentions without necessarily losing the house offered, such as; Accepting the house which most certainly would have water facility (borehole), then he could request that a tap or two be extended out of his compound for the use of the people."
Let me ask you a question.
You have a building plan for me "which most certainly would have water facility (borehole)," but I am not aware of such a plan. You made the offer but I chose water facility (borehole)(which according to you, is certainly part of the house), would you then build the water facility (borehole) and not the house because I requested for it?

You only choose out of options. And the man chose to alleviate the sufferings of his people (even if it is for one month, for those saying the borehole will soon be destroyed) than to enjoy comfort alone.

He made no mistake! And thrust me, this man has gotten all he needs even for his children and grandchildren!

Some people will rather die poor with good name than being rich with bad name...

Just look at the pitiable state we are in. Our young people cannot hold a meaningful discussion for just five minutes without uncaging their stupidity. Afonja this, Igbo that...bla bla bla.

I wonder if we all would have phones to access the internet if this was what youths in Europe, America and Asia preoccupied themselves with.

Let me burst your miserable bubbles: none - and I mean none - of these Nigerian groups (Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa etc.) have done anything of note in recent memory; we should stop disturbing the peace of the world when we contribute nothing tangible - we are almost liabilities. What the heck is the funny superiority contest about! Wake up fellas, this thing you cherish is almost poo!

Are you guys mindless! Everything, from your phones to your toothpick, is imported, and all that your minds can process is Igbo and Afonja. What a shame! What an eyesore; useless nonetities!

What a disgrace!

This is arrant nonsense

Yet we have hospitals spread across the country

Not functional
And that's partly because of these same Doctors, especially, those on the Govt payroll.

Most of them 'working' in Govt hospitals run their private hospitals (or join others in referring patients to either their colleagues' or personal hospitals. Not even mentioning how they divert drugs meant for Govt hospitals to thiers).

One of the reasons they go on stike is because Govt is trying to prevent Docs in Govt employ from running private clinics.

Govt has a very big problem here but if you know what these people do...

Alright, elections in Nigeria is not all about ''contesting and winning'', and probably not free and fair!

It's all about rigging! Who are those rigging? Is it that the Yoruba man or Hausa man gets rigged in by their tribesmen? When Jonathan was rigged in, it was the Ijaws that rigged him in.

That means Nigeria will continue to be messed up, doomed, and ruined, just as we are currently experiencing. The divisions and hatred will increase, my question is, would it not be better if the yorubas and hausas go their ways? Since both love themselves so much, they should go their way, and leave the Biafrans to have a country of theirs. Mind you am not a Biafrans, but I hate wickedness and injustice. Isn't power supposed to rotate peacefully?
Is Nigeria's Presidency 'rotational'? Isn't it by contesting and winning elections? And how do people win elections? By alienating others?

I can gladly say amen to that considering the number of people whose lives had been changed through a few programs like N Power, Unconditional cash transfer, bail out funds etc.

Now, to you, mention two things your very good father has done for your village.

And even you, the hardworking youth chairlady

You are very correct!

We might all be shouting 'competence,' but the fact remains that, nobody works for another to eat.

Nigerian politics is unique. People put in a lot to win elections. So, it wouldn't be 'fair' to ignore them and appoint people who contributed nothing to their success.

Politicians place politics first!

generationz:
Let me tell you something about life and principles
If you forgo your principles because someone convinced you to do otherwise , when the act goes south you will never forgive yourself and that person.

For example does innocent church girls who fell for the sweet words of players and got pregnant. Yes they love their kids but they would know life would have been easier without an unwanted pregnancy

Like I said earlier principles shouldn't be set in stone. Your views can change a little as you grow older and meet more people.

However if you say you won't have any principle, people will just mess you up and take you for granted. You will fall for all kinds of lies trying to see the best in people.
A life lived on principles is delusional... It ain't real and does not last.

And by the way, what's the difference between
principles and personal convictions...
principles and societal norms...
principles and religious tenets?
