Reno, in your quest for public relevance, you are gradually loosing relevance.

In your attempt to keep up with your pledge to torment Buhari, you are torturing yourself.

Intelligent people talk sparingly...

Not even up to 1%.

All these noises for nothing.
Passed through the road last Saturday.

The quality is okay, but the rate they are going, it will take 10yrs to finish the project.
The best option maybe, is for the contractor to 'grade' the road and pour 'Tars' on it so it could be completed under one year. The 'quality' is making the work take so much time.

I don't understand INEC's unnecessary drama with Rochas.

Is INEC planning on conducting a fresh election or declaring the other candidate winner or leaving that senatorial district without a Senator?

I think it's time to end this child's play.

Angelfrost:
It's too early to be dense... You hate FFK doesn't mean you deliberately try to confuse truth for blab. RCCG's negligence for the welfare of her ministers is well known and founded.

Most of their pastors and ministers are poorly remunerated... A lot of parishes struggle and beg to even pay rents, and can barely afford to cater to the welfare of their workers and ministers (which a church is supposed to do).

We can pretend all we want but this is not the model the apostles set up after Christ left them in charge: The church flourished mainly because everyone's need was properly taken into cognizance... Feeding the hungry, and clothing the naked took precedence over setting up buildings of worship.

How many suicides (not talking suicide bombings) do you hear of in other religions? The 21st century church has greatly strayed, and terribly misplaced her priorities. undecided
"How many suicides (not talking suicide bombings) do you hear of in other religions?"
And how many have you heard of in Christianity?

What makes you think he committed suicide because he couldn't pay his rent?

Do you know if the church had, at one point or another, rendered financial assistance to him?

While I agree with you to a large extent that "this is not the model the apostles set up after Christ left them in charge...that the church flourished mainly because everyone's need was properly taken into cognizance and that the 21st century church has greatly strayed, and terribly misplaced her priorities," but do you know that what you called 'model' was abused? That made "theTwelve gathered all the disciples together and said, "It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables." (Acts 6:2). This tells you that the 'priority' of the Church is not to "serve tables" but "the ministry of the word of God."

MobilityExpress:
People try to do their new lucrative jobs well when they know the last person that had the job before them was fired for incompetence. Being a service chief is a lucrative job. If they have been getting fired regularly for under performing, by now the security of the nation will be far better.
I agree. But hope you understand that the security challenges these Service Chiefs are dealing with are not like the conventional frontal warfare where you engage your enemies headlong? We are dealing with scattered gorilla warfare where these demon possessed individuals target unsuspecting communities, hit and run and most times, even mingle with other people.

. Keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result is another defination of insanity. Under their watch has the security situation improved in the last four years if no then,no point kicking against their remova.

There is the need to try fresh hands (even as I believe experience and continuity matter), but truth is, we can keep changing the Service Chiefs as much as we want, but it will have little or no impact when you are dealing with people who are hell bent on destroying themselves.
PoliticsRe: Femi Fani-kayode Reacts To Pastor Adeboye’s Statement On Sack Of Service Chiefs by RoyalUc(m):

emkz:
If you read with understanding, then you'd see that I sympathize with the Emir. In his position, age and experience ought to have informed him to be more circumspect especially dealing with a questionable and desperate character like Ganduje. Wisdom dictates that it is not everything we say without a filter, especially in public.

A few examples: the Emir lied that 48 billion dollars was missing during Jonathan's government and he was unable to prove it. As CBN governor, he came on air and fired the MDs and EDs of four banks, citing reckless financial accounting. Three of the banks collapsed. His volcanic temperament contributed more in imploding those banks and the implosion cost the Nigerian state money and affected our stock market. The banking system did not quite recover from it yet.

He is an activist Emir, something Ado Bayero wasn't. He criticizes publicly and embarrasses the Kingmakers in Kano and they are not in support of him at this time. He is dangerously publicly partisan, something you don't see in the Sultan of Sokoto or Shehu of Borno.

Finally on the issue of speaking against injustice. If you see a policeman shoot an unarmed citizen, is he wrong? Yes. Is it unjust? Yes. Should you condemn him in public while he is armed? Probably not a good idea. Strike when you have the upper hand and right now, Ganduje has the upper hand. This is how you play the game of power which the Emir himself knows but he misplayed his cards this time.

Please, do you now understand my perspective?
Thank you very much!
