“They must exercise restraint because the only reason we practice our profession or be a commentator is simply because there is peace in the country.”

We must all realize this fact. And let me add; the only reason we post what we post on NL, FB and other social media is simply because there is peace in the country and there are still ICT facilities.

Sh!t has happened to Christians in the past 10 years in Nigeria and you say we shouldn't be apprehensive? Why is Afenifere being demonized by the familiar forces in yorubaland? Can't we forgive them for supporting Jonathan? Is this what Pa Abraham Adesanya fought for in Nadeco for years under Abacha? I am pained myself that you are all shutting me out because I have said something we all want to sweep under the carpet. I am not trying to demonize our Muslim population but asking why their body language aligns with the North in opposing the restructuring of the polity. Pastor Osinbajo has been the VP for he past 2 years and under his watch, Christians have been killed without let or hindrance because he was placed there to make it seem we Christians are represented in Government but it is all a ruse as pastor Yemi is powerless in the midst of people who are on a mission.
Op. You might have your fears and worries which is quite ok, but to present it the way you did and are doing, I sincerely don't get it. That was why my first responds was; no need reading further and I honestly did not go beyond that point. Goke asked you a pertinent question. What do hope to achieve? What does the scripture teach us about this your subject matter.

Permit me to refer you to Matt. 5 from verse 1 to the last verse.

Am a christian and I believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ but I don't like people using the name of God to preach hate and division for political gains, this is what ffk, fayose and the likes are doing and it all started from Gej's administration who went round churches making Christians see Muslims as their enemies. That was the root of the present division and hate we we see right now. PMB will not be President forever and a non muslim like obj, gowon or gej will be President again some day. We Christians should get wiser and see how Nigeria will get better through the preaching of the Gospel via development programs and contributions to the society. All the hate, complains and anger we have exhibited towards each other as muslims and christian, what has it contributed to our national growth, all the bible religious knowledge we have been teaching in schools, how has it reduced corruption and all the evils plaguing our society. We have missed it somewhere as Christians in Nigeria and we should stop the blame game and look at ourselves in the mirror and fix our mess.

Let the SW fix their mess, Let the SE fix their mess, Let the north, the SS and all tribes fix their mess before we blame other tribes or other people who do not practice our religion. Our self righteousness and hypocrisy is killing us and we will never develop until we all fix our personal mess.
I wish there are ten of you here!

Rarely have I seen a fair minded, mature christian post comment(s) this clean.

God bless you bro. You are an inspiration.

Everybody mustn't tow thesame path, but whatever we do, the welfare of our people should guide us. It's good to want 'freedom' for our people, but when the pains become intense at a time, the best to do will be to slowdown if we really care.

Is the struggle for Igbos about states? It is about devolution of powers and true fiscal federalism where all states can develop at its pace.
This failure was governor of Abia state for 8years,and made the state the HQs of "egusi" pyramid where commissioners and aides, came to peel egusi at his mother's feet.He turned the state to another bloodbath.Gave his mother the title of Elder Mrs,Her Excellency and all worth not,as traditional rulers struggled to handover titles to her or risk losing their seats.
This same psycophant was traitor-in-chief to Ekwueme in 1998 at the Jos Convention, and now preach oneness of Ndigbo.
This school dropout from University of Maiduguri whose only achievement was buying his certificate from ABSU stole Abia blind. What did he do?Complains of buying houses abroad, yet he owns a mansion and chains of businesses in S/Africa.
This hypocrite whose only achievement was making all members of his family, commissioners and aides as well as appointing an awaiting-convict as his successor who is now a "Sin-ator" and chairman on the committee of dumbness.
You all come here to abuse NK whose(only crime to me was constituting parallel security services)of abusing the elders. Who are the elders? These ones?
Or the dark-googling one in Anambra who is meeting scientists to bring up people from Antarctica to come and see his state
Or the weeping prophet in Enugu, who in the midst of deaths around him is busy still thinking of Chime or Ekweremadu
Or the one who stole Ebonyi blind with his partnership with anyim Pius anyim and getting free rides to the UN and shaking oyibo hands
Or the akpu-headed stooge in Abia who left classroom for classroom(this time under a multiple-award winning failure, his predecessor)
Imo state,no way....I won't talk.
This one is making God consider apologizing to Lucifer because he has surpassed the latter in ignominy.
The elders are the sellouts, shout afonja or aboki from 2d till tomorrow,we know buhari,he is a bigot.I have seen good, bad and ugly people across all tribes. There is freedom of speech, let anyone say what makes him comfortable..what about our Governors?today OUK is in APC,a saint and is now a ventriloquist.
Buhari said we should follow constituted channels because he knows these efulefus will sell us again for 5loaves and 2fishes.
Let us Fight our leaders, they opened the doors for buhari,I have a tacit belief that they promoted this using the C-in-C,and now claiming to love us.
The ideology remains,we need a better Nigeria, but these governors and legislooters and rogues, like this one can never give it to us.Let us charge anew at them, and tell them that "ourmumuhavedo".
The military invasion is unacceptable by international laws and that must resonate.
" Wise men speak because they have something to say,Fools(like these)speak because they want to say something."(Plato)

Now we see the fantastic beasts and where to find them.

We meet to part no more.

God Bless us all.

If this is true, I wholeheartedly agree with the youths.

To me, his offence is not not being able to rein his son but to openly say his son has done nothing wrong and that he totally supports him.

If a Royal father - a custodian of law and order (who probably is in the payroll of the state) is not interested in Nigeria; which he has every right to, then he should simply vacate the office as the paramount ruler in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Is Igbo Really Marginalized? Let’s Discuss by RoyalUc(m): 5:48pm On Sep 17, 2017
In as much as I don't define marginalization by the number of Presidents to have come from a region or otherwise, in all sincerity, I do no agree that Igbos are marginalized.

The nation seems to have been shared almost fairly to the three 'major tribes.' 'Major tribes' because those outside each tribe/region don't actually know who is who (to the Igbos, everybody from the North is Hausa. Same goes to the Hausas and Yorubas). And I think that's one of the reasons 'we' cry marginalizatoon.

Ojukwu case was different.

Nnamdi Kanu is a terrorist, you can't bring such a man that spill bile and hate to the table. To discuss what? To negotiate what? It is because this country has been used to pampering troublemakers and elevating them to heroic status that is why you see different riffraffs springing up from different direction in search of fortune and fame after committing atrocities.

Let Kanu do his worst
While it is good to follow the path of peace, I completely agree with you on this.

Kanu should be tried and not pampered. If after the trial his is found innocent, he can go home a free man and if there is any damage(s) he suffered, such should be made good.

If the govt heeds this advice, Godson or whatever his name is, would takeover and probably do worst.

It is very dangerous if the govt could be taking for ride!

PoliticsRe: Let True Facts Be Told, No Hausa Have Ruled Nigeria. by RoyalUc(m): 11:47am On Sep 17, 2017
Obviously, the major problem of Nigerians as it concerns our coexistence is mere stereotype.

I have had the priviledge of visiting and residing in many parts of this beautiful country and I have seen we are thesame, though wth minor differences which are essentially based on cultural and religious beliefs (simply, environment).

When I served in Enugu, I had the honored of meeting and sharing accomodation with 'Northern muslims' (sorry I don't like such descriptions). They were so nice and warm-hearted.

Human beings are just...that, human beings!

I wish we could 'run shifts' in our habitations, then we will understand this fact.
PoliticsRe: . by RoyalUc(m): 10:49am On Sep 17, 2017
I have confirmed once again from this IPOB-Biafra saga that it is not good for elders to sit and watch while things go bad.

I have also seen that reason is far superior to emotions but emotions always dominate human actions.
I am sure even the core IPOB member, in all honesty, won't fault this write-up laced with brilliance. But is this the first time issues raised in this piece are raised? Even Joe Igbokwe warned and cautioned (difference being he too could be emotional atimes) but alas, emotions were too high to make provision for reason.

Clearly, this whole agitation was fueled chiefly by ignorance (not undermining the power of hate). Wrong perception. False hope. False information and manipution. Creation of (wrong) enemies - making brothers look like enemies. Among others.
But were there real sensitization, dissemination of right information, engagement of critical stakeholders without ulterior motives, this won't have taken this dimension.

DSP and other respected Igbo sons and daughters ought to have intervened earlier and not to ride on the wings of the agitation, waiting to see if it will favour them or not.

Such a nice piece.

I am actually making moves to contribute my quota to the development of this country.

I am not leaving Nigeria for another country, as in, denying my citizenship, but i'll like to acquire one or two degrees abroad and them come back. That doesn't mean I don't love Nigeria or that Nigeria is the worst country. As at today, we have foreigners as students, workers, visitors/tourist, residents and those that have Nigerian citizenship.

Nigeria is actually a force to reckon with in the world. Our citizens are doing us pround abroud and some are dragging our name in the mud. But in all, Nigeria is a great nation and the world know that!
