A popular Mechanic has died after been crushed along with his car when a Tree fell on it in Adamawa during a windstorm.

The man named Emeka Nonso was said to be working beneath the car when the incident occurred.

He was rushed to the Hospital where he gave up the ghost..

According to reports, Until his death he was married, and was expecting his first child with his wife before his premature death.

Some officials of the Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), yesterday, attacked residents of Ilasamaja with machetes. .

The commotion started when the officials, who came in two lemon coloured trucks, arrested some street traders. .

Those arrested were put in their truck and people started hurling stones at them. One of the stones shattered one of their trucks’ windscreens. .

This clearly angered some of them, who jumped out, armed with machetes. They pounced on anyone on sight and started attacking them with machetes.

Some minutes after the attack started, angry street urchins mobilised and armed themselves with machetes, bottles and sticks. When the LAGESC officials discovered they were outnumbered, they entered one of their trucks and escaped, abandoning the second truck.

The Presidency on Sunday reacted to the emergence of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar as the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate ahead of the 2019 elections.

Atiku scored 1532 votes to beat 12 other contestants who had vied for the party’s sole ticket.

The PDP’s National convention chaired by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State held in Port Harcourt between 6th and 7th October 2018.


However, in a swift reaction, Buhari’s Aide on New Media, Lauretta Onochie, while congratulating Atiku, said his emergence has made APC’s job easy.

One of the PDP delegates in Port Harcourt, Prince Henry Nwazuruahu,paid a homage to former President Goodluck Jonathan.The delegate who is backing Atiku said he went to Goodluck Jonathan to inform him that he's around.He described GEJ as a father.
