biggy4joe:Biggy, If the young man had succeeded in sleeping with her, then it probably, most likely, woulda been on [b]mutual consent abi!? But 11k was allegedly extorted from the young man by what we can hardly term as mutual consent; so if this is the line of argument you to tow to justify what that young lady has allegedly done, then my guy look 4 something else becuz e no wash! ![]() |
oh boy. . . . . gripping stuff! |
How many Nigerians actually patronize this hotels with their own money. . . . . 80% or more of those that u'll see are there on their company's account. Utility overhead is not all to blame; a lot of this hotel owners just jack up the prices because of the type of clientele they service (mostly expats and multi-national execs). |
Ghana were very lucky. . . . they had chances but failed to take; the bane of all the African nations in this WC - 1 more goal by Serbia and they woulda been out. They really need to improve on their goal-scoring. . . . not even one disallowed goal from open play, thats appalling! |
I think African teams can look at USA and tlearn a lot from 'em; they don't have the best players in the World, but they are organized & they set their focus and go about business the way it should done. Even more astonishing is they're being handled by a local; a man who has no international football pedigree. . . the growth of the American team is a feat very much quite laudable! |
dayokanu:who are these ![]() |
Gekko:wrong. . . . Altidore = (Yak * 10) ^ 3 ![]() buzugee:& he is like 20yrs younger than yak ![]() |
USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA Now, here's a team that plays with heart - 1 u can always be proud of no matter the result. USA play second place in the Germany-Ghana group. . . . look forward to seeing them in the 1/4s and semis ![]() |
shebi una see Domenech ![]() Why players dem no go abuse am, even abuse im papa & mama join - useless tarado! ![]() |
mbulela:Guy. . . for your info; na Henry, Abidal & Gallas raise the motion of boycott and the house agree - so no try to dey single out Evra and Anelka only! If the French players all unanimously agree to express their displeasure at the manager, then definitely the manager is not doing something right. Domenech has a history of falling out with players - Dhorasoo, Guily, Pires, Coupet, Mexes - haba, na only am be coach!? I still maintain that the french players did absolutely no wrong in standing up for their colleague & the main reason why i say this is, Domenech somehow, someway started it all! |
where is the disgrace How were they wrong ![]() Anelka abused Domenech - FFF doesn't investigate, Domenech doesn't formally lodge a complaint (which, for me, is fishy in itself because am sure he is hiding something). . . . yet Anelka is told to leave camp. How do we know for sure that Anelka abused Domenech? How do we know for sure that Domenech on his part didn't do or say anything to incite Nico? Questions nobody has asked, yet they proceed to punish based on hearsay! This Domenech-FFF romance stinks highly & mightily! It coulda been worse. . . . they coulda boycotted today's match and risked having FIFA axe French football; but they boycotted 1 single training session kpere & people are screaming their heads off like its the worst thing ever done by football players in protest!!! |
Scandal-hit France back in training after boycott |
@ eldee, abegi. . . . anytime u enter naija, just buzz me u gats man'ya ontop my head, u be correct guy! ![]() i just don't understand where mbulela is coming from or heading to! ![]() |
I particularly do not like the fact that people seem to want to make Evra look a rebel-leader like troublemaker cuz he is the skipper of the side. . . . . I've watched footages and seen photos of the whole saga and it never appeared like the unruly, stampede of protest that people are tryna make it out to be! Here's Evra - 2 instances discussing civilly enough with Domenech on 1 hand & the players on the other!

tkb417:My guy, France have been struggling since 2007 & don't even try to liken "Drama King" Domenech's situation to Quieroz or Capello. . . . . the latter, at least, give their players a listening ear and offer explanations for their actions expecially where it affects the team and arouses public consciousness. For example, Quieroz was guilty playing CR9 as a forward instead of his favored wide right, but now he's given in to popular demand & see the results. tkb417:For me, Evra has acted like a skipper should; they have not held anybody to ransom, rather they've taken a stand and are sticking to it - nothing wrong with that! Tell me which player wouldn't want to have a skipper than will stand up and defend him no matter what! The bones of the players dis-satisfaction, is that the disciplinary action by the FFF is based on press reports - what was read in the papers and on tv - no formal investigation was done or no complaints lodged, even from the affected Domenech himself or any other member of the staff- and this is totally, totally unjust! So the French team standing by their player is totally logical! & people keep saying "faction". . . . . . . what faction quite unlike the super eagle mafia of yester-years, everything the french players have done, they've done in tandem, a united front; no dissenting voices, no minority/majority - what does this tell you!? |
Mbulela, If Le Blanc is now manager of france, i do not know; as at two weeks ago, i had not even heard traces of such a speculation - na 4 ur mouth i jus dey hear am now. My point exactly is this. . . . no matter how idiotic you think the action of the french team is, they are the 1 indidpensable factor in the whole equation. This whole episode just goes to show you that if the players are not happy with the manager, nothing good can be achieved. Seemingly Domenech never tried for 1ce to listen to his players or show them respect. He has had a history of doing things without bothering to offer simple explanations to the people he is working with (if u want, i can reel out a host of 'em) - now tell me, is that the way to show respect to the people you work with even if they're below you!? Your grouse is with the timing of their action. . . . . . but does an angry man think about time!? Abegi, its been long overdue jare! |
mbulela:Guy. . . . this will not be the first and last time that players will protest over anything. . . . u ask why they couldn't just endure for 1-week more I'm sure u knw that patience like every other thing about life runs out eventually - when it will, nobody knows! They have been putting up with Domenech's stupidity since 2004!!!Even in Africa where respect for elders, leaders & authority is vehemently encouraged, there comes a point where certain things are not accepted from a leader/elder/authority! Have you even bothered to ask yourself why all the players are totally in support of Anelka!? Not one single voice raised in dissent! I don't think you know Domenech at all, you probably only just heard of him last week - he's been at loggerheads with French footballers since the very second he was made manager. What drastic change were they expecting? What exactly were they intending on achieving with that imbecilic act?Watch and see; Domenech will leave, the bloody ignoramuses' in the FFF will leave too but the bulk of players in this current Les Bleus side will still be there in years to come - thats the power of a football player on show for you! |
Mbulela, u can blame Anelka and the whole french squad of players all u want, but the underlying fact remains that Domenech had since lost the respect of the French players and nation as a whole. . . . the handwriting has always been on the wall and the FFF chose to ignore it. Results were not coming good, performances were piss poor - Domenech never inspired, never instilled any form confidence in them; the french public never had any shred of belief in him, many might sympathise with him now, but it doesn't go beyond that. How the French players have managed to live with such glaring tactical/technical & man management deficiencies to date, I cannot help but wonder. . . . . . It's a big shame on the French nation that such is happening at the biggest stage in football but it is best becuz there has to be DRASTIC changes, probably this is the only way it could be achieved! |
All night long, I listened the SuperSport crew of analysts speak as if Spain are already thru to the next round & it appears to be the perception unconsciously adopted by most of the WC public is that Spain will beat Chile. . . . . Personally, I don't think the Spanish will qualify from this group - I'm putting my smart money on Hitzfeld's Swiss side to beat Honduras; Spain v Chile might well end in a draw. We'll see, but am ready to stick my neck out that its curtains for Spain! |
Pray. . . . how has evra disgraced himself ![]() |
when push comes to shove & they need goals, they'll be peeing in their pants like toddlers. . . . shior ![]() |
I'm still tryna grasp the whole concept of driving a manual, just want to throw some questions to all the experienced, expert drivers out there, am sure your expert advice would go a long way to improving my driving and aiding other learners who might be experiencing similar challenges. . . . How do i determine when to change gears and how often to do this? |
I can't help but sympathise with Paul Le Guen. . . he's such a good, committed coach & should be left to tutor the Cameroonian side for years to come. I think he can make something good outta 'em if given ample time. But typical African mentality - they might just wound up firing him inspite of how he transformed the side after falling behind in the early rounds of the WC qualifiers. . . . wonder why we can't keep coaches for a period od time - the danish coach has been in charge 10yrs now! |
Ghana are clearly not good enough if they could not defeat a 10-man socceroo - in 2 games, they haven't scored a goal in open play. this is becoming a nightmarish WC for Mama Africa! |
Nicolas Anelka is widely known to have attitude. If you doubt me, ask Kanu Nwankwo or Arsene Wenger. He keeps no friend, rarely socialize with team mates and prefers to be a lone ranger. His attitude will kill his career eventually and I am truly surprised he has managed to come this far. Players like him get dumped in the basket of history before the end of their career and let him forget about a career in coaching because if you are not good in stewardship, how can you lead?. He is just an arrogant piece of sht.
kill which career have u ever heard that a man who is down needs no fear of fall. . . nico is already at the tail end of his career, so what is there to kill!? As 4 domenech, he deserves more than insults. . . . even rookie maradona has a firm handle on his team and knows what he wants of 'em - domenech is just f.c.uking clueless! I guess this is all the curse of the irish working its charm on the french ![]() |
& this is simply just how the cookie crumbles for ghana. . . . . . |
The USA match had an American commentator who was so biased he was disagreeing with his co-commentator because he complained about every other call against the US but won't acknowledge the occasion the USA gained from Altidore's dive which the other guy noted. Fast forward to the England game which had British commentators, they sounded much more professional and refrained from those petty bickering about free-kick calls.
very few fans and sports journalists/analysts are objective when their own teams are involved in a game, u act as though the yanks are the worst at it - have u ever seen peterside idah on supersport ![]() |
Abegi. . . . is Enyeama the only goalie in the world to have stopped Messi from scoring in a football game; what is all the unnecessary fuss about!? |
Good play Algeria. . . . though I really felt they shoulda been more adventurous - they had England on the ropes and just didn't seem eager to go in for the kill! The fear now is, against the US, they might not show this much passion and determination! |
Must be like an average of 5000 yanks in every US game thus far. . . . wonder why the general perception that the US public don't really give a hoot about the WC!? |
In almost every WC I have watched, the US seem to mostly be on the wrong end of the officials stick. . . . vividly remember a US-Germany game where a german defender actually stopped an absolute unarguable goal-bound ball on the line with his hand like a goalie would Amazing. . . . even without the benefit of video replays it was as glaring as Roy Carroll's blunder against Spurs in OT in the EPL some seasons back and all the officials didn't see or refused to see it! |
@ travelista, You're complaining about the US analysts and commentators trumping up their team like no other matters. . . . bet you've not heard the English or better yet our own hopeless naija talk about their own! Here in naija, if we win a game, xpecially a big 1 - it gets rerun on tv with the same regularity as the national network news ![]() The US is a very decent, promising side with bountiful potentials and their recent performances are very well worth crooning about. . . . & who is to say they are not good enough to feature in the semis of this WC edition I'm certainly not ruling 'em out thats for sure! |
