Every team has its key players. . .
Take Rooney out of united and they'll get relegated cheesy
i don't think so. . . . of the lot, UTD seem like the only team that plays well / woefully together - wether there's a missing person or no. guess thats the face of the new-look UTD!

We no longer have the amount of quality teams that we used to have.

Of course you'll still get the odd shock results here and there during the group stages however come the business the end of the competition we all know this teams won't be involved
Yes. . . . come the business end of the competition, we're going have the same ol' teams involved cuz its only them thats allowed to play - thats the recycling am talking about.

From odd results, major shake-ups are born. . . watch and see!
I believe a change is on the horizon - as long as, the clubs from Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Albania etc start getting into the action, the balance will shift and it is shifting.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by RuuDie(m): 11:31am On Nov 03, 2009
I think we should be considering using Owen & Berba up top sometimes. . . . they were good together against Bolton - seemed to have a good understanding of each other.

A 4-4-2 with Rooney out wide on O'shea/Neville's side to counter the opposition threats and sit that rubbish Nani boy down to watch & learn.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Lyon Vs Liverpool [1 - 1] On Wednesday,4th November by RuuDie(m): 11:18am On Nov 03, 2009
chances are L'pool will win but what happens after huh

the players will play with passion; the kop will migrate from anfield to lyon and provide enuf fuel to ignite the atmosphere. . . . but what happens afterwards huh

its better that they lose and drop out of the UCL; not a thot l'pool fans would suscribe to, but in the long-run as far as this season is concerned, it'd do the club a world of good!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Rafa's Screwing Us Up So He Can Move To Real Madrid by RuuDie(m): 6:15am On Nov 03, 2009
Rafa was tryn to fight on 2 fronts @ 1 time!

Yep. . . the changes were inexplicably outrageous i mean, who the Bleep is eccleston huh he shoulda put in some of the other familiar faces on the bench not some unknowns; thats where i fault him the most.

He took a risk that back-fired; he shoulda just kept his eye on this game and shut lyon out of his mind at that time. . . . but i think it'd be harsh to say the man's lost it. c'mon, at some time a manager will get to this point where he's tryna salvage something.

I think if Liverpool do drop out of the UCL, it would be good for the club and the manager. at least then, priorities will be straightened out and focus will return.

As for those bashing Liverpool as a two-man club; face it. . . . . take fabregas outta this current arsenal team and there'll be probs; take drogs outta chelsea and the goals will suddenly dry up. Of all the big-4, UTD appears like the only team that don't really have focal-point player(s).

Or have you forgotten Sevilla 4 Middlesborough 0
khanye:
When was the last time a team from the EPL win the UEFA cup?
now fellas. . . . don't misunderstand me!

i for one, am 1 who these other ligues are far better than the EPL; am only saying the Europa ligue, UEFA cup and Cup winners etc are much better calibration tools for guaging the development of a football ligue or teams in europe.

for one, i don't really take what the "big" teams in the major ligues are doing or achieving into consideration becuz financial might has ensured that very few of such teams are almost "internationalized."
i'd rather focus on the "smaller" teams with fair amount of "local / indigenous content." their achievements or exploits, to me speaks larger volumes of how good or strong a particular ligue is.

good points from all sides. . . . but;

La Liga consistently provides 2 of the same teams at the latter stages of the UCL - the EPL provides 4. As far as i'm concerned it tells me nada but only just goes to show the stagnancy of european club football at the highest stage.

i think the basis of comparison should be in the lower tier ie. the europa, uefa, cup winners or whatever you want to call it. here u can have a clearer picture of football growth in the different ligues.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by RuuDie(m): 6:24pm On Nov 02, 2009
as long as UTD can throw caution to the dogs and play chelsea with high intensity and attack with abandon - forget trying to be cautious or careful - i still maintain that we show way too much respect to chelsea and that is our bane!
The problem is filePic - you are not capturing it in your script. If you are, then I missed it.

Again, you need to write the code that creates the directory where the images will be stored. This you will do by getting the value of filePic, creating a directory and then storing filePic's value (the uploaded image) into that directory.

Make sense?
makes a bit of sense, thanx a bunch. . . . but then, if i do this, how does the script or any other script reconcile the two different directories - the 1 specified in the input field and then this 1 to be created?

my sincere apologies if i'm wearing u out with the questions; its just so confusing right now!

Deafeat Chelsea at SB?
Very tall order.

Even the excellent treble winning Barca couldn't.
How do you beat a team with a first rate backline?

Speed, power, accuracy?

That's our middle name.
Try some other tactics.
& yes UTD can beat chelsea at the bridge. . . . UTD always have too much respect to chelsea and even arsenal whenever they play and thats why they're hardly ever at their best in most of their games.
all UTD have to do is, take the shackles off and be extremely positive in approaching the game!
