Emperoh: Is basket mouth or I go Dye one of those pals?Omo, I dey wish so...but e come be sey dis guys dem get small cred! |
Phil Neville will be his assistant...!? Okay now this is getting funny ![]() source: pals on twitter |
Looks like Moyes folks! |
coogar: without the debt, moyes would have been a good candidate but there are financial worries to sort.......And the sharp-guys will start cashing in now, buying up for when the stocks will rise again... this is the stock exchange man, you gotta anticipate, then ride the highs and the lows. |
What if this mystery manager is Arsene Wenger. . .anybody ever given that thought!? ![]() |
coogar: you are not looking at this with a telescope.I am not discounting the Mourinho angle and what he'd add to the club. . .but from the way things are, if the gaffer has a huge hand to play, he will surely favor someone who is cut straight off his own cloth and Moyes is it. Yes we need trophies (not necessarily the UCL) to keep the money coming in and Moyes can give us some measure of success domestically (heck even fat Phelan can do it). Nobody will expect Moyes to win the UCL in the first or even second time of asking - he can be garnering the much cherished "Euro experience" while bringing in domestic silverware early on. So in theory, Moyes looks closer to the job than Jose. Its a big gamble no doubt but given what he has done with Everton, I reckon SAF/the board might fancy his chances that he could do better with more resources at his disposal. My humble take on things anyway! |
Ah, Samuel Eto'o Fils. . .one man who is so unfortuante not to be WPOTY. Such a good player; exemplary on and off the pitch. Ballers don dey dis life sha oh! ![]() |
Belovedd: does Moyes have European experience? cos based on David Gill's statement. it can't be him.Well, he'll get the "European experience" at UTD. Or did Mourinho come out of his mother's womb with "European experience"!? |
First Thatcher died, then Sir Alex retires. Somewhere there is a scouser with a lamp with one wish left... ![]() |
nateevs: The 'WE' you refer to is actually SAF.I think you're wrong about that 'WE' bit... but you're certainly right about 'drive' - perhaps breaking Liverpool's dominance was the tonic. That is probably what nailed him the job when he first went to interview for the MAN UTD job. |
SAF "The decision to retire is one that I have thought a great deal about and one that I have not taken lightly. It is the right time. |
elampiro: GIUSEPPE ROSSI @GiuseppeRossi22 17mAh, my man, Guiseppe Rossi. What a fantastic talent; what player he would have been...I swear he could have been right up there with LM10 now - the timing was just so wrong, so sad! elampiro: michael owen @themichaelowen 49mMy sentiments exactly...The Great Manchester United without The Imperial Sir Alex Ferguson - it just doesn't feel right! But change is the only constant...and we will forge ahead!!! |
Emperoh: Not an issue. It took SAF 4 years to win his first trophy.Thank you very much for the bolded! |
If SAF has any sort of influence in picking his successor...and Moyes' name is in that hat - its almost certainly going to be Moyes! |
Except there is something very wrong... I don't think Fergie would leave now. Something must have warranted this. |
coogar: this is good news.......If Jose Mourinho is appointed UTD manager...thats me gone! I'll be better off not ever watching club football again!! |
It was always gonna happen...eventually! If you ask me, I am not so optimistic about trophies in the next 2-3 seasons! Thats my day, totally maculated! |
I watched Messi last night. . .felt the change of mood in the entire Nou camp when he came to the touchlines for the substitution. . .I swear I could have shot Tito in that instant ![]() |
SLIDE waxie: Most people who claimed to be learned are gullible, uneducated and fools!Dude, get it togther. Are they sentencing him for crimes he'd been convicted for previously!!? |
Even if it is 10yrs. . .is that not too much for a case of phone theft!!? Shuo! Abi you think sey 10yrs na 10 hours! |
usbcable: NA WA O.In truth, there is really nothing to talk about anymore. . .because even if the remaining games are won 10-nil each; it won't take away that "medicine after death" feeling - my humble opinion anyway! |
The criticism of Tito maight be a little too harsh because he has done considerably well; but he's brought it upon himself. His actions (or lack of it) has almost ensured that his performance over the whole season has been crystallized down to the results of just "two" games. Sad! In as much as football is a game of guile, skill, technique and tactics. . .but all that amounts to nothing if you're not motivated, "fired up" and do not believe! I refer to the UTD v R.Madrid game at O.T; when UTD got the red card and immediately advantage swung to Real, SAF may not have made changes or done anything superb tactically or technically; but he did the one thing that is up and above all of that, he upped the ante in a way no other technique can match - he went to the stands and urged the crowd on. The message was clear, the message was strong - FIGHT TO THE END - he needed to say no more. UTD did not win that game, but the response from the players was a "moral victory" in itself to the fans and even the players themselves. No UTD fan could have faulted their efforts; and only a dis-honest Real fan will refuse to admit that UTD did give their team a torrid time even with the numerical advantage they had. (hats off to usbcable) It is quite unfortunate that earlier on in the season, FCB were showing such resolve; snatching late against-the-odd-victories, spirited fight-backs and all. Where and how they lost it along the line is a mystery - but Tito just has to learn that he is the rock, the leader, the C-in-C; he should be the last person on the field who should give up on a cause, no matter how insurmountable. Experience, they say, is the best teacher and every man has his flaws. I hope Tito has learnt a thing or two from this debacle. |
Totally inexcusable! Shey "shyness" don turn to deaf and dumb ni'!!? |
There is no such thing as a commitment-shy, unromantic and emotionally unavailable person. You are simply misunderstood because you just do not conform with what some people have come to accept as "norm". I do not see this as a problem. For I cannot give what I do not have... you are you; and you can only "tweak" yourself a little bit to get accepted but ultimately your true self shines through. How I get by? I let you know straight-up the kind of baggages I bear; if you can deal with it, fine! If you can't, there is no use trying! Oh, one last thing... you have to grow very thick skin! |
Hehehehe why didn't you take up my bet? Final dey there too! If u ready!
I didn't take the bet because I am trapped in the Creeks right now and my main man who can help facilitate staging / payment via paypal (I don't have an account) isn't around. . .otherwise, I put my money where my mouth is and keep to my word; at the very least, Dayokanu and Chamotex can attest to this. Anyway, as you say...final dey and I no se'ke! |
Disappointing...Tito Vilanova may just have jeopardized all the good work he has done this season in just this one game. Why say one thing and then act otherwise!? If he'd given up, why not just get the B-side to play the entire game? Eighty-thousand plus packed into the Nou camp, over seventy-odd thousand of 'em Cule faithfuls, Catalans to the core --- if they didn't have an iota of belief, would they be in there singing themselves hoarse? The least required of 'em was to put up "a fight" a'la Real Madrid. Managers have been fired for far less, I reckon Tito will be spared but that was very immature of him - make up your mind if you're going all out for it or giving up without a try - not stuck in between like a deer caught in cars headlights. I have never been more disappointed in FC Barcelona my whole life. |
The almost forgotten second stanza of the national anthem. ![]() |
The forwards shouldn't slack. . .never mind if there are a hundred people in front of you; run at them, make them commit, draw fouls, get the ref to throw around a few yellows, eventually they will be forced to back-off and shadow-mark. I think we are about to see the best of FCB tonight! |
onila: this is why am gonna marry a white manJust be on the look-out for my own drone...it is coming your way shortly ![]() |
dademola: ogaa... Stop being decieved by wot u saw at d bernabau, or at white hart lane. My point is dt, if fergie makes a grave tactical error at dis stage of d UCL, man utd wld be roasted alive, even if we put 10 carricks and 12 jones' in d midfield. Dunno why u can be so carried away with wot u saw against madrid, wen just last season, city mauled us 6-1 at home.lets even look at d madrid game sef. Do u fink we clda played majority of dt 1st leg with 10 men, and madrid wldnt hav pumped in goals into our net?? Or do u fink dis present man utd side clda survived in camp nou like chelsea did last season(i dnt nid to remind u d circumstances unda wich chelsea played dt game). Does fergie really strike u as a coach dt can mk effective tactical changes wen d unexpected happens?? Maybe d man utd u watch and support different frm d one i see week in week out sha...If bayern make a grave tactical error on wednesday they will be roasted alive...same applies to real, barcelona and dortmund. so what is your point? |
ddippset: lol. Seems like 'adios' now has a new meaning. Well players like vidic and kompany don't play for barcelona. Okay I challenge you to name two defenders you would sign for fc barcelona and let's differentiate them from vidic and kompany. If tuore And keita played for fcb why not fellaini? What's your beef with fellaini anywAy? The only thing I could imagine putting you off is his height cus fellaini is skillful. Do you like 5 footers? Do you have a phobia for heights?fellaini is just a taller and more skillful mascherano or a more attack minded alex song and you say he can't play for fcb(I don't even want to sAy 'us' any longer). Where did thAt come from? If john cena in central defence will let me play my tiki taka and get a win cus I don't get svcker punched while wallowing in my tiki taka I will sign him afterall good football doesn't mean playing 8 five footers in a team when you know you have a problem with aerial balls and set pieces. That's like a stvpidity commerciAl. Really.Daniel Agger and the Spurs (Belgium) defender, Vertoghen - are two I think will slot in nicely at the back, aerially not slouches but also decent with the ball on the ground. |
