Foreign AffairsRe: Israel Warns Russia Against Giving Syria Missiles (wat A Comedy) by RuuDie(m): 2:08pm On Jun 01, 2013
tyson55: In the 80's, America gave Iraq Billions in weapons and other aid to fight Iran, and they later fought them with some of the very weapons that they gave them.

Later, America gave Afghanistan billions in weapons and other aid to to fight the soviets, and they later fought them with some of the very weapons that they gave them.

America helped the LIBYAN rebels in toppling Ghadaffi, few years later the very same rebels America helped killed the US consulate in Bengazi.

Now, America will be giving Syria billions in weapons and other aid to the Syrian rebel...............see the pattern here?? Why don't AMERICA and it's ally learn?
Using your analogy, then perhaps Russia should be wary of Syria...because in international politics and warfare; no such thing as "eternal loyalties".
Foreign AffairsRe: Israel Warns Russia Against Giving Syria Missiles (wat A Comedy) by RuuDie(m): 10:00am On May 31, 2013
Smuthx: Series of events that may occur here. International politics is like a chess game.
1. Russia may or will sell the S-300 mobile surface to air missiles to Syria.
2. Syria will play the hundred thousands of US dollars to Russia.
3. Some Russian military personnel will accompany the shipments of the missiles to ensure operation and teach the Syrians how its used.
4. USA and Israel meets the Russian president and his defence team.
5. After discusions and backroom deals.
6. The Russians will give the coordinates of the missiles where its stored in Syria.
7. The Russia military personnels will leave the target in time for the Isreali war machines to target and blast the storage buildings to ashes and destroyed.
8. Russia will issue some statements and within some weeks, Russia will tune down the warnings and it will fade away.
The Russia will win, they have gotten the money. and they will have gotten some backroom deals.
Russia may not even sell those surface to air missiles. Its politics and its their trump card The Russians may not use
smart stuff!

To add to this, I don't think the Russians will be quite eager to give out a technology that affords them a level of advantage over their adversaries --- lets assume they do sell to Syria --- fast forward to the future and Syria now turn around to use against 'em or even sell out (directly or indirectly) to the US or any other super-power.

If Moyes is indeed making enquiries about the likes of FAB4, Thiago etc then he is already on course to being a success story.

It is not even about men finding it repulsive, but more about women finding it attractive --- women should begin to accept, embrace and enjoy "single-hood". To marry no be by force and no be do-or-die!

Personally, not very keen on that Zaha fellow... The Watford #41 is more the type of player I feel we need. That dude is straight-off the Gianfranco Zola mould - fantastic balance, speed, strength and most of all, guile.

What sort of person straps a bomb to him/herself and detonates it. . .how are the two different!!?
FamilyRe: I Must Marry This Year! From Desire To Desperation ! Please Learn From This by RuuDie(m): 9:43am On May 26, 2013
I've always said it that in contemporary African Society, the Man always has the edge in the marriage!

"Marriage is beautiful" --- why not!!? As a man, if I find my woman unsatisfactory in one way or another, what stops me from going out and getting another (legitimately or otherwise); can a woman do the same!!?
Some men just marry for the sole purpose of "tying the woman down!"

Women, need to wise up --- marriage isn't a goal that has to be achieved by all means necessary. You can still make a life of yourself without it!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Between Manchester United And Chelsea, Who Had A Better Season? by RuuDie(m): 8:28am On May 24, 2013
United had the better season based on the fact that, one of the key goals set at the start, was to reclaim the EPL title and that they achieved.

Chelsea only started to take "serious interest" in the Europa Ligue because everything else was falling apart. Personally, I feel Rafa and a handful of players got more personal joy out of winning the Europa Cup than CFC did as a club - it was a mere consolation to a lot of those players who surely would have wanted better!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 9:55am On May 21, 2013
Oh, if we could snap up Fab4. . .I would so, so love it!

Seriously, I don't think we are going to buy a lot of players, least of all in that central midfield zone - Anderson, Cleverly, Carrick, Kagawa, Jones, Powell; as fitness permits, its quite a loaded (quantity wise) sideline!

I do expect to see a change of guards, wing-wise.

PoliticsRe: Senate Says President Has Not Declared Any State Of Emergency by RuuDie(m): 2:11pm On May 17, 2013
Eko Ile: The constitution is sacred and any deviation must be tabled and sanctioned before the Nigerian legislature.

The judiciary is not constitutionally sanctioned to make or change laws, that's the responsibility of the legislature, the judiciary only interpret laws laws passed and amended by the legislatures aka lawmakers..

Read up on the 3 arms of government. The executive, the legislative and the judiciary for relevant understanding before your next post..

Nigeria is not going anywhere with so many ignorant and uneducated so called leaders of tomorrow..

Again, do they still teach social studies and civic education in our schools?
The original posts clearly states, corroborated by law-makers and lawyers alike, that what the President has done, only amounts to "stating an intention of declaring a SOE". Until it is gazetted and approved by the House, only then we can say there is a SOE. The mass movement of troops, whilst a tad unusual, does not in any way signify a SOE.

Anyhow you choose to see it - Mr. President has done no wrong!

@ Elampiro.

You can list out a million and one reasons why we should keep Rooney; but this thing is getting too annoying. If he wants to go, then let him p*ss the f*ck off!

What the f*ck does he want!!? The last time he said the club wasn't matching his ambition, now we have a much better squad than last season, with a promise of better to come.

PoliticsRe: Policemen Attack Maiduguri Hospital, Shoot Doctor, Beat-Up Medical Staff by RuuDie(m): 4:11pm On May 10, 2013
No excuses...the policemen are totally wrong to shoot at unarmed civillians but we need to understand something, these guys may have been under extreme pressure and the actions (or inaction) of the medical staff may have only served to aggravate their ire.

It is very easy for us to sit on our "high horses" and condemn those men because we are not in their shoes and cannot understand what they might have been experiencing at the time.
A lot of the conclusions here are bit biased and probably influenced by the fact that we are constantly regaled, on a daily basis, with stories of police/army/force-men brutality on innocent citizens.

We need to be totally objective in our assessments and criticisms here or we may turn out to be just as guilty as the policemen if we lash out at them without taking into consideration the incident in its entirety; the root-cause and probable actions that may have triggered off such reaction from the policemen.

In my opinion, this is clearly a case of two very agitated parties getting caught up in a whirlwind of unbridled emotions. Nevertheless, the policemem should be the more professional and show more restraint...but in their line of work and especially in the clime/region they are, how easy is it to keep a cool head!?

coogar: what is longevity? who cares about that?
the primary reason for having a club is to win titles - not who has spent 3000 years in one position. laudrup won a title already and moyes hasn't for 11 years. check out the brand of football played by both sides.......compare their budget and get back to me.

one dinosaur exits and another one enters......nonsense!
I don't see how your raving changes anything...Moyes is it! Not all of us like that decision; but we will not "revolt" against him like fans of some other club would because in the end, it serves no good whatsoever!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 4:08pm On May 09, 2013
coogar: moyes is the microcosm of what mourinho is - you can't dispute that!
mourinho gets the job done and don't liken his stints in those other clubs to how he would manage at united. chelsea had not won a league in 51 years until mourinho did. madrid had not played in the final of the champions league for more than a decade and inter were also-rans till jose joined them.

the atmosphere is different at old trafford. mourinho is joining a squad of champions. giggs has won more in his career than jose. jose will not be breaking any records of his predecessor.he knows he would just be here to steady the ship, not that he would be offering any ground-breaking managerial innovation. we are way way different to all the teams jose has managed in the past! what will jose win at united that hasn't been won before?

ordinary carrick has won 5 league titles - how would jose talk him down like he does to pepe or carvalho? those are the issues you guys are not looking at. mourinho has run out of football clubs to join. that he is even considering going back to chelsea should tell you his time as a club manager is almost over.
You don't want to get it, do you? The underlining criteria UTD board have ultimately used in selecting the Manager is LONGEVITY - between you and I, does Mourinho guarantee that!!?
Lets drop it already abeg...and start to focus on life afresh on a new page with a new man at the helm.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 3:24pm On May 09, 2013
@ Coogar,

love it or hate it...we are stuck with Moyes and the majority are cool with it!

I can stomach a "struggling UTD" with Moyes at the helm than a Mourinho who will scamper at the slightest hint of trouble...and don't try to sell me that "Mourinho is always successful" crap - he is not above the law of diminishing returns; and me thinks, right now he seems to already be on that down-ward spiral. Good luck to him wherever he crash lands!
