Kenya There are plenty of reasons to head to Kenya, and we're not just talking about its bevy of resorts and safari camps. The Kenya Lake System in the Great Rift Valley is the ultimate place for wildlife spotting, with cheetahs, giraffes, black rhinos, and some of the highest bird diversities in the world. Mount Kenya is the second highest peak (after Kilimanjaro) and one of the most impressive landscapes in Africa, with glacial lakes and forested slopes.
samorobo: Stop decieving yourself TZ's natural beauty is matchless and nothing like you've ever seen in Kenya.. to me TZ is more Natural beautiful than SA based in what I have seen...Kenya shouldn't compete with TZ,SA, Seychelles in natural beauty, just compete with Nigeria and see if you'de win....fyi we are probably at thesame level if not more beautiful than Kenya..
South African firms do come to Kenya but majority don't survive.
Abohboy: Of course it’s a South African co,lamu, handling expensive. real estate in Kenya. South Africa is quite literally taking over all sectors in Kenya Kenya as well as Nigeria. How can a country being taken over by another surpass it.
You can look for all the excuses but your country is under a tight grip of a tinpot dictator. Can you call Magufuli malaya or mbwa or nyoka and see tomorrow. In kenya we can do that.
Acadavah: Who shot him? He was shot 30 times yes and they didn't even finish him. I am sure if it was the government that did that he wouldn't still survive to this day.
He was shot by those people who wanted to incite violence in Tanzania. All of that thing started after the government caught 277 containers of underreported values of concentrate ( Gold+ others) and the government ban the export of concentrate until they pay the correct amount of that gold+ other minerals.
If they underreported in those 277 containers what about other thousands of thousands of container that were exported since 1990's. The gov calculate and slap them with 190bil usd tax. All those 277 containers were reported to have 44mil usd by Acacia and the Tz mineral authority but after re-exermine Gov found they worth 315mil usd minimum. So they decided to ban the export and scrap Tz Mineral Authority. They command that Acacia should build the Smelter here in Tanzania. It is in construction now.
But the opposition especially the two Lissu and another one called Zitto were opposing this by telling citizens that Tz will be sued by Acacia and pay large amount of money. It was like debate btn these two+ others who wanted the export to proceed and the one who supported the president. One day he was shot by anonymous people and the one Mp called Mr Sugu said it was the president who shot him. Lissu was transferred to Nairobi then Belgium for treatment and the other Mp was sued to the court after few months to prove that it was president who shot Lissu and other violence incitement comments. He was jailed for 5 months. So the HRW came and said Politicians are shot and others are jailed.
In the end Barrick scrap Acacia and joint create another Subsidiary called Twiga corporation with Tz gov which obtain 16% shares freely in each mining( Jan 2020). The gold export rise from 1.5bil usd at 2018 to 2.436 bil usd at 2020 which contribute 56.3% of Tanzania 4.3bil usd of non traditional Exports at 2020( April) from 3.56bil usd in the same period at 2019.
International community - UN staff have max of 4yr duty in any station - min 2 yrs. They don't stick around. The same with embassies. They are ever on the go.
I have worked there - I can say NOT a single expat I know owns a house in Nairobi.
The few I know invest in a condo in Capetown - and that is pretty much it.
samorobo: Story for the gods. ..I have watched countless YouTube videos of Indian and British property developers building in runs and Karen....truth is runda is built and owned by the international community....
I will check up on Lavington and muthiaga....I do think really know much about those places
Contradictory. South Africa is stuck. Not going forward. It doesn't everything has grinded to a halt. It just mean they are doing what you'd expect developed world to be doing...but they aren't developed. They need to grow 2-3 times to become developed.
Developed world like US or UK - there are also still building.
samorobo: Leave Nigeria..we've on that never ending topic for too long as we watch thesame argument get recycled every single day... Now back to SA...yes they were under recession pre covid19 and has been in and out of recession for close to a decade now..but yet their cities are not stagnant ....now that's my point..let it sink in..
Yes, but owned by Kenyans - black kenyans. It was very cheap coffee farms recently. Not every tom dick and harry can own Muthaiga - or Lavington - well they have allowed some subdivision now into smaller plots - and there is new money in - but old money is on Muthaiga, Karen and Lavington - and such estates.
samorobo: In succinct term runda is largely occupied by expat...
You have problem with English comprehension. Runda I have said severally houses expats working at UN and embassies. It also house the upper class kenyans. The houses are rented out to experts and foreign people by kenyans who bought the coffee farms and made Runda what it is.
Runda rent is min from 2,000 (if you're very very luckly) to 6,000 usd per month.
Runda is not the richest neighborhood of Nairobi. It's new estate to respond to mostly UN and international organisation demand for housing....it was built around the 90s. Nairobi became UN HQ/UNEP in 1975 or about...and UN compound and all that was built in 80s.
Runda therefore is for "new" money - Not really the rich people of Nairobi. You can even still see coffee farms.
The richest Nairobeans - this is old money- stay in 1) Muthaiga 2) Lavington and 3) Karen - I'd say mostly. Nairobi has more than 20 upper class estates as big as Runda you see in the video. Karen for once is very huge.
samorobo: I watched the video s d there was nothing to see or learn from it...they basically just told me what I know...like the third woman who said funds has very large International community...now that debunks your lies..I mean the one where you stated that runda us largely occupied by black Kenyans not UN expert .. remember you said then UN expat starts and end in their gates and now you are saying this women are specialist....and this runad specialist are saying runda is largely occupied by the international community....
Btw I took screenshot from this video...is this the special thing you've always wanted me to see in runda...old di t you ever waste my time with nonsensical, overpriced, mediocre, uninspiring stuff...
They were under recession long before COVID-19. Capital flight out of south africa is enormous. The rand is taking water. I know Nigeria are TKOs and now hidding under South Africa.
samorobo: They are not sleeping..the whole of Gauteng is a massive construction site...years back those areas where remote villages.
Kenya will get to South Africa level very soon - from 2030 - 2035. 2030 if they don't wake up.
samorobo: Why has the fast changing places of Kenya not been able to measure up with their newest fast changing locations....now that's a very deep question..
samorobo: I have watched that video twice a day I can't still find what you are saying....what assurance am saying getting from you that I would see something different....did something magically change in that video..?
Not as fast as Kenya for example. But as slow as Nigeria.
samorobo: Blah, blah, blah ...what matters you is that their cities despite the poor economic activities has seen in TT grown in world class biildii/properties,malls, planning Ng, infastructure, hotels you name it...their cities are not stagnant as you've been screaming....four years ago Steyn city and waterfall never existed, today it's yet another collection to Gauteng world class cities..
Kazikazi: I don't like "too much talk"! Why can't we compare every beautiful natural thing btn me and TZ? I post one thing u post something similar, then let's see who will have more good stuff! I start....then post the same similar thing
Tundu Lissu - you pumped so many bullets into him and crippled him - but thank goodness you did not kill him. You will remain a dictatorship forever. I doubt you can dare criticize Magufuli even online. In kenya we call Uhuru names live live...like malaya wewe....ubwa...anything.
How? When they receive worse education than Kenya. When crime in south africa is out of hand. When drugs in south africa is messing them up? When they are so poor they are envious of somalis hakwers. We have millions of Somalis in kenya - we don't attack them. How? When they don't own land - and the land continued to be occupied by a few large white land owners? How when they have about the same if not worse unemployment than kenya - 40%.
Just30: You keep talking about black South Africa when Blacks in South Africa are treated far better than how your own government treat you in Kenya.
Are you serious about us mentioning many folks who been killed and jailed in your North Korea republic of Danganyika. HWR - Human Rights Watch - has done a great job documenting human rights violation in your dictatorship. By the time Magufuli is done with you in 2025 - you'll be as bankrupt as when Nyerere left.
Acadavah: They already done that through twitter. This was repetition. Mention any politician who was arrested/dead for criticising the government?
They are basically undergoing US kind of segregation - the whites are creating Sandtons and moving to suburbs where they can enact their own apertheid for security and other reasons - leaving the poor blacks in the inner city.
samorobo: And since that 2010 SA has seen her cities grow tremendously in infastructure and real estate and new audacious cities spring from the scratch..
If they did; they would already be dead or arrested. Tanzania and North Korea are officially one and the same. Both are COVID-19 free. Thanks to their supreme most high leaders.
Acadavah: The author didn't write his name, maybe He is Zitto since he mention Ben Membe at the end.
Kazikazi: You can't be above TZ in natural beauty.Turkana is part of your nation, and is mostly ugly, plus those dirty rivers!
Lake Turkana torquisoe color is because it's largest alkaline lake in the world.Kenya beat Tanzania as far natural beauty because we have arid areas with it's unique features that TZ dont', otherwise Kenya has everything from white sandy beaches to incredible wild game, lakes of various types, rivers, mountains, highlands, rift valley, deserts, some of hottest place with temperatures rising 50, natural hot springs, forests of various types. There is a reason Kenya is the cradle of humanity. All these different climatic condition are very close to each other's making for dramatic experience..that you can sample in a day.Otherwise Seychelles is just Zanzibar which is Diani, Watamu and entire coast of Kenya.Nambia is uniform Kalahari desert with Botswana.South Africa has bit more options but in limited range..so the battle really is btw Kenya and Tanzania..and Kenya wins.Remove Zanzibar and North Tanzania with Kenya features..and Tanzania is as average.Kenya
jln115: Tanzania, Botswana, Namibia and SA beat Kenya when it comes to natural beauty......IMO
Tanzanian is 2nd after Kenya. We beat them coz we have deserts. Those southern Kalahari deserts are only beautiful to you otherwise they don't have the geographic diversity you see in East Africa Kenya and TZ
Mzal3ndo: Great a report from a man who denied a chance to run for president under the CCM banner saying Tanzania is cooking up figures. The decrease in Taxes in Tanzania is due to the nation deciding to ease the burden of COVID on all tax payers. Plus, the GDP growth isn't parallel with tax collection. Import of construction material has slowed since Tanzania now produces most of its own construction material such as pipe, gypsums and other material. And this fool say when income rises people buy more beer, the same people who send their fathers to the hospital on liver related problems. This article is a f$*cking joke.
