We are now at 99% transition rate. Just30: |
Where is SGR line in Ghana laid? Just30: |
This rant should be directed to US embassy in Ghana. So out of 330,000 SHS - is double-track. Btw I see SHS was introduced in 2007 - was is the rationale for this? Also what rationale of repeating kids - what if they never pass. In kenya we have gone to a system without exams ![]() It called competence based education. Continuous assessment. No final exams. No rote learning. I think Rwanda is also on this. vankelvin: |
Look like they have decent number of Junior high school -- these are the number for both public and private. Junior high schools 6,418 Senior high schools 475 - (now 700?) Polytechnics 10 - laughable. |
The number that is verifiable is 700. So they decided to do rotation. one bunch go to school for half year then go back to watching goats. then next lot goes in. It's hilarious. No wonder they sound daft. mtisTheQubit: |
Kenya did census last year - we were 47.5m. You're using projections that don't capture our very successfully family planning and population control. Now I have see your stats - and they are very horrible. You only have 700 (maybe 1,200) secondary schools : what happened? Who died? Are you that poor? That stupid. Kenya has 10,000 secondary schools. The primary schools are I think 30,000. Why would you miss a desk? It's just a piece of wood? Hobbit - please for god sake build schools everywhere. Just30: |
Ghana is truly a horrible place. 700 secondary schools only . Kenya has more than 10,000 secondary schools. The minister noted that about 804 different infrastructure projects were currently ongoing across all 700 schools in the country, adding that majority of the projects were concentrated in the 395 schools operating under the 'Double Track' programme. |
I actually took care of that - Ghana is about 30m - kenya 48m. It should be roughly 0.65%. I expect when Kenya is at 1M - Ghana is around 650. You're doing very badly - well double track is good band aid - but invest in building high schools. Wizzzzmike: |
Long post bereft of numbers and evidence is just like a fart. We need facts. Kenya versus Ghana education. Let start from primary enrollment - Ghana 2019 BECE 0.5M - versus kenya (KCPE) 1m plus - graduating class of primary - 2020 is about 1.2m Lets go to secondary enrollment - Ghana enrol 0.15m(double track maybe increases the number) - Kenya 0.7-0.8M kids will graduate - graduating class of secondary Lets go to vocational training enrollment - Kenya Tivet enrollment is 0.3-0.4m - Ghana? Lets go to university enrollment - university enrollment 0.5 - Ghana 0.3m - with about 0.1m being foreigners. In short - you are mini Nigeria. Just30: |
Mombasa South Coast about to have bridge connection. Right now you have use the Likoni ferry - to access Diani

Precisely. They are very ignorant - most of these countries. You rarely find people as worldly as kenyans. Saddamochieng00: |

All those pictures were snapped from kenya side, you cannot do anything about it, it our right to see the mountain and take pics. Mount Kilimanjaro is part of kenya nature. Mount Kilimanjaro is mere 20 kilometers from the border. About 10 miles. It's visible as far as 200kms - because it's free standing - so it's part of our nature. From Geneva to Mount Blanc is 70Kms - and yet the swiss brand many things with it. You cannot for example afford Mount Blanc watch - a swiss match - named after French mountain Kazikazi: |
Is Kilimanjaro visible from kenya. Yes. That automatically make it part of kenya nature. If you just want to see Mt Kilimanjaro - come to Kenya. If you want to climb - go to Tanzania. Small % of people are interested in mountain climbing - many just want to see the Africa highest mountain - and they do that - in Amboselli while watching elephants and other animals. I live in Switzerland, Geneva, for part of the year, and every where you'll see Mount Blanc - Europe highest mountain. And Mount Blanc is in France - but it's visible from Geneva. That doesn't the swiss from branding everywhere Mount Blanc. The french don't go berserk against the swiss for branding Mount Blanc on their expensive watches, streets and etc. https://d2v9ipibika81v.cloudfront.net/uploads/sites/290/Lake_MontBlanc.jpg In Geneva - this bridge is named Mount Blanc - and yet the mountain is many miles hundrends miles deep in france Kazikazi: |
A good start - at least he didn't import chinese finished car - and badged it KANTANKA or INNOSON. The first Mobius was not pleasing - but now they have sleeker vesion. https://biznakenya.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Mobius-1280x720.jpg Now Mobius latest look like this. Kazikazi:

Look like embassy figures bit dated...about 0.5M in 2019. Still that leaves I think nearly 0.2-0.3m at home every year in basic education - minning gold for chinese and picking cocoa beans - or even sex slaves like Kikuyu like to say ![]() https://allafrica.com/stories/201906100495.html |
Actually Ghana you need to start from primary schools. 375,000 students graduating primary (BECE) is small number. I think kenya we typical have 1M plus kids graduating primary (KCPE = BECE). So if you consider the population of Kenya and Ghana - you should be graduating 700,000 primary kids every year. It appears 50% of Ghanian kids are not making to end of primary school. So your problems are VERY VERY VERY BASIC. Out lucky 50% - who make it to the end of primary school - 60% don't have any desk in high schools. And the solution is to half-baked education where kids go in turns - go home for 3 months - double track. When it come to university and colleges - look like enrollment is decent 300,000 - but how many Nigerians are in that number? Nearly 1/3 - 75,000 - let add other foreigners - so essentially you're talking 200,000 - a very small number indeed. In single year - Kenya gov sponsored students are nearly 150,000. |
Actually forget about it - you should focus on building high schools - look like Ghana problems are VERY basic. You still need double-track You have 375,000 students graduating BECE - and only 150,000 available spaces in high school . Shocking! so more than 200,000 students graduating from primary schools don't have any high school to proceed. No wonder you're doing double track ![]() MY FRIEND - you're fu.cked. Please focus on building high schools. Kenya we are at 99% primary-secondary transition. We came to Ghana to make that 1% get to 100%. Universal primary to secondary transition - first in Africa. https://gh.usembassy.gov/education-culture/educationusa-center/educational-system-ghana/ Senior Secondary School/Senior High School: 375,000 Ghanaian students take the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the end of JHS Form 3 (ninth grade) in seven subjects. Admission to Senior Secondary/High School is competitive: only 150,000 students can be admitted into the 500 public and 200 private national secondary schools |
This is first time you're having technical universities . What are they training diploma and degree holders right. I think you don't need a lot of that - you need lot of certificate and artisan level. One engineer can supervise 200 plus workers.Just30: |
Do you know what it's mean to be the only Africa PGA accredited golf course. jln115: |
TANZANIA REVOKES approvals for KQ flights into the country after its citizens excluded from list of people who can fly into Kenya. Petty and Jealous Tanzania - Kenya only allowed a few countries to fly into the country - but Tanzania are the most aggrieved. They ban KQ instead banning kenyans visiting. Those kenyans don't allow to fly include US and Canada. |
A $50 million golf complex on the Kenyan coast has become the first in Africa to secure world-renowned PGA approval. PGA Head of Property and Development Guy Moran said: “It is the first time that we have accredited a golf course on the African Continent. We are glad that Kenya has now joined the league of PGA branded facilities around the world.” jln115: |
He is brownish/pinkish ; that is probably the confusion. For him pink=white. We are dealing with colour blindness. Saddamochieng00: |
Just30:Only just 12 technical universities..let talk tivet..our enrollment now is 400,000 and we are aiming for 2m. |
You don't have beaches that meet kenya, Seychelles and TZ standards. That is not exactly white - it has tinges of brown. The south africa water tide is too high. You cannot compete on that. Maybe those Drakensberg mountain ranges, water falls and etc. jln115: |
That is Tanzanian graduate level English. Grade 1-7 are taught in Kiswahili. They grade 8-12 they switch to English as the language of instruction. 90% graduate without knowing how to speak or write in English. Abohboy: |
Answer the question. What is the enrollment. What do you performance? measured by by who Just30: |
Many things - that are available only in a select countries. samorobo: |
Yes, but Centum, you'd trust those. Please also buy into Tatu city. Very nicely coming up. Saddamochieng00: |
Tell us something we don't have in Kenya. We have Mangrove forests. What makes a country special is the unique stuff. Abohboy: |
We always had them- we are just re-focusing on them. What is Ghana Tivet enrollment figures Just30: |
