We are now at 99% transition rate.
Just30:
Ghana secondary school enrollments 2019
473,728 https://avenuegh.com/closure-of-shs-school-placement-and-enrollment-2019/

473,728 Students entered Secondary school in Ghana in 2019.
Placed into 1200 Secondary, Technical and vocational schools.

Kenya Should be placing One million (1M) students into High schools each year and not the mere 500,000 and less out of 1M children who are eligible for entry.
Your country was not able to place 40% of students who sat for KCPE into High school and yet you are here shouting 100% transition rate from Primary school.

Only a deludent person will claim 100% transition rate from primary to secondary school
grin grin

This are what the experts say,
"Holders of the KCPE who do not enroll in secondary schools can attend youth polytechnics, which prepare students for Government Trade Tests, levels 1–3. Less than 50 percent of primary school students continue on to secondary school."
https://wenr.wes.org/2015/06/education-kenya

The transition rate from primary school to High School in Ghana in 2019 was 91%.
517,331 completed Primary school and 473,728 went on to High Schools and TVET schools
https://avenuegh.com/closure-of-shs-school-placement-and-enrollment-2019/

In short, your country is mini Liberia in Education

Where is SGR line in Ghana laid?
Just30:
See this idiot from zombieland

Ghana have already laid over 700KM of SGR tracks out of the current 2500 under construction

Such a poor country like Kenya that cannot build even a single kilometre of road without Chinese loans or IMF and WB bailout money.

Your country is always bowl in hand begging.

This rant should be directed to US embassy in Ghana.
So out of 330,000 SHS - is double-track.

Btw I see SHS was introduced in 2007 - was is the rationale for this?
Also what rationale of repeating kids - what if they never pass.

In kenya we have gone to a system without exams smiley

It called competence based education. Continuous assessment. No final exams. No rote learning.

I think Rwanda is also on this.

vankelvin:
So you are happy showing your dumbness to everyone?

We are in 2020 yet you are using 2009 figures to buttress your point?
Are you okay in your head?

See, no amount of falsehood from "you" will change the horrible situations facing kenyan's.

We have over 900 SHS schools, and over 300,00 SHS final year students completing school next week.

So where from that 150,00 figures of SHS students? And your 375 BECE final year students?

Moreover, in Ghana, we don't do "a whole sale" promotion of students, they repeat some. Before you get to form three, you will need to pass your form two exams so the higher you go, the more the number decreases.

Who in his/her right senses will use 2003/2004/2005/2009/2010 reports of another country to compare 2020 performance or figures of his country? I guess you are the only person who will do that grin grin

Look like they have decent number of Junior high school -- these are the number for both public and private.
Junior high schools 6,418
Senior high schools 475 - (now 700?)
Polytechnics 10 - laughable.
Foreign AffairsRe: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 12:56pm On Aug 01, 2020
The number that is verifiable is 700. So they decided to do rotation. one bunch go to school for half year then go back to watching goats. then next lot goes in. It's hilarious. No wonder they sound daft.
mtisTheQubit:
wait..wait..only 1200 sec schools...thats just fair...
Foreign AffairsRe: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 12:49pm On Aug 01, 2020
Kenya did census last year - we were 47.5m. You're using projections that don't capture our very successfully family planning and population control.

Now I have see your stats - and they are very horrible.

You only have 700 (maybe 1,200) secondary schools : what happened? Who died? Are you that poor? That stupid.

Kenya has 10,000 secondary schools. The primary schools are I think 30,000.

Why would you miss a desk? It's just a piece of wood?

Hobbit - please for god sake build schools everywhere.

Just30:
have you forgotten that your population is 53M and so it is okay to have more numbers graduate?

Ghana Graduate 400,000 from Juniour high school every year.
Ghana have 100% enrollment in primary school and they all complete.

Ghana is not Kenya where high school students dont have desk to sit on.
Here, every high school student have a desk.

Double track systems is only 400 schools out of 1200 High schools who all have the capacity to host 1500 students each.
Both double track students and the single track school students all complete their syllabus before the year ends.
That is how efficient our system is.

For a country like Kenya with 53M people, total University enrollment shouldn't be at a mere 300,000 like Ghana.
Your transition rate need to increase.

keep making numbers up to suit the under performance of your country.
Foreign AffairsRe: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 12:46pm On Aug 01, 2020
Ghana is truly a horrible place. 700 secondary schools only smiley. Kenya has more than 10,000 secondary schools.

The minister noted that about 804 different infrastructure projects were currently ongoing across all 700 schools in the country, adding that majority of the projects were concentrated in the 395 schools operating under the 'Double Track' programme.
Foreign AffairsRe: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 12:42pm On Aug 01, 2020
I actually took care of that - Ghana is about 30m - kenya 48m. It should be roughly 0.65%. I expect when Kenya is at 1M - Ghana is around 650.

You're doing very badly - well double track is good band aid - but invest in building high schools.

Wizzzzmike:
Dude ur sickness getting worse.... simple question what's the population of Ghana and Kenya...

Long post bereft of numbers and evidence is just like a fart.

We need facts.

Kenya versus Ghana education.

Let start from primary enrollment - Ghana 2019 BECE 0.5M - versus kenya (KCPE) 1m plus - graduating class of primary - 2020 is about 1.2m
Lets go to secondary enrollment - Ghana enrol 0.15m(double track maybe increases the number) - Kenya 0.7-0.8M kids will graduate - graduating class of secondary
Lets go to vocational training enrollment - Kenya Tivet enrollment is 0.3-0.4m - Ghana?
Lets go to university enrollment - university enrollment 0.5 - Ghana 0.3m - with about 0.1m being foreigners.

In short - you are mini Nigeria.

Just30:
grin grin grin grin

you this kid

We've had them for years already.

We need a lot of high qualified, skilled workers and our technical unis are providing that for us.

We dont need backward ill skilled artisans, you guys in Kenya need to be train your artisans that are building tin cars properly so they can perform to the highest level of standard.
Those are the reasons why no manufacturer find your country favourable enough to site facilities and your people are not capable to lead the manufacturing change your economy so need ATM.

The skills are not there

All those pictures were snapped from kenya side, you cannot do anything about it, it our right to see the mountain and take pics.
Mount Kilimanjaro is part of kenya nature.
Mount Kilimanjaro is mere 20 kilometers from the border. About 10 miles.
It's visible as far as 200kms - because it's free standing - so it's part of our nature.
From Geneva to Mount Blanc is 70Kms - and yet the swiss brand many things with it.

You cannot for example afford Mount Blanc watch - a swiss match - named after French mountain

Kazikazi:
So the mountain can't be seen in TZ?
You simply lack brain!
And how is the distance between a mountain and the borderline?
Foreign AffairsRe: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 10:35am On Aug 01, 2020
Is Kilimanjaro visible from kenya. Yes. That automatically make it part of kenya nature. If you just want to see Mt Kilimanjaro - come to Kenya. If you want to climb - go to Tanzania. Small % of people are interested in mountain climbing - many just want to see the Africa highest mountain - and they do that - in Amboselli while watching elephants and other animals.

I live in Switzerland, Geneva, for part of the year, and every where you'll see Mount Blanc - Europe highest mountain.
And Mount Blanc is in France - but it's visible from Geneva.

That doesn't the swiss from branding everywhere Mount Blanc. The french don't go berserk against the swiss for branding Mount Blanc on their expensive watches, streets and etc.

https://d2v9ipibika81v.cloudfront.net/uploads/sites/290/Lake_MontBlanc.jpg

In Geneva - this bridge is named Mount Blanc - and yet the mountain is many miles hundrends miles deep in france

Its funny.

And you are busy posting animals which were born in TZ and are technically Tanzania's

Look like embassy figures bit dated...about 0.5M in 2019. Still that leaves I think nearly 0.2-0.3m at home every year in basic education - minning gold smiley for chinese and picking cocoa beans - or even sex slaves like Kikuyu like to say smiley

Foreign AffairsRe: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 9:53am On Aug 01, 2020
Actually Ghana you need to start from primary schools. 375,000 students graduating primary (BECE) is small number. I think kenya we typical have 1M plus kids graduating primary (KCPE = BECE).

So if you consider the population of Kenya and Ghana - you should be graduating 700,000 primary kids every year.

It appears 50% of Ghanian kids are not making to end of primary school.

So your problems are VERY VERY VERY BASIC.

Out lucky 50% - who make it to the end of primary school - 60% don't have any desk in high schools.

And the solution is to half-baked education where kids go in turns smiley smiley - go home for 3 months smiley - double track.

When it come to university and colleges - look like enrollment is decent 300,000 - but how many Nigerians are in that number? Nearly 1/3 - 75,000 - let add other foreigners - so essentially you're talking 200,000 - a very small number indeed.

In single year - Kenya gov sponsored students are nearly 150,000.
Foreign AffairsRe: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 9:48am On Aug 01, 2020
Actually forget about it - you should focus on building high schools - look like Ghana problems are VERY basic. You still need double-track

You have 375,000 students graduating BECE - and only 150,000 available spaces in high school grin grin grin grin grin. Shocking! so more than 200,000 students graduating from primary schools don't have any high school to proceed.

No wonder you're doing double track smiley

MY FRIEND - you're fu.cked. Please focus on building high schools. Kenya we are at 99% primary-secondary transition. We came to Ghana to make that 1% get to 100%. Universal primary to secondary transition - first in Africa.

https://gh.usembassy.gov/education-culture/educationusa-center/educational-system-ghana/
Senior Secondary School/Senior High School: 375,000 Ghanaian students take the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the end of JHS Form 3 (ninth grade) in seven subjects. Admission to Senior Secondary/High School is competitive: only 150,000 students can be admitted into the 500 public and 200 private national secondary schools

This is first time you're having technical universities smiley. What are they training diploma and degree holders right. I think you don't need a lot of that - you need lot of certificate and artisan level. One engineer can supervise 200 plus workers.
Just30:
Yes 12 that are capable of enrolling everyone who applies and qualify.
The result from them is causing an industrial transformation here.

TANZANIA REVOKES approvals for KQ flights into the country after its citizens excluded from list of people who can fly into Kenya.

That is Tanzanian graduate level English. Grade 1-7 are taught in Kiswahili. They grade 8-12 they switch to English as the language of instruction. 90% graduate without knowing how to speak or write in English.
