Did this just come out of you mouth ?

West Africa was the only Region not directly colonized, it was basically impossible.

Cry somewhere else for your weaklings
Fool it was colonized and enslaved since 15th century...all slaves are from these meek negroid...best from Ghana cowards..you were not directly colonized because it's easy to just take king son hostage and tell him to send all the gold or the son will be killed..or like Ghana threaten to sit on golden stool..poor excuse of human race..you should be a rat or mouse

The US to this day don't believe their best seal team with hawk helicopters were massacred in Mogadishu and their bodies dragged on the streets.Somali is Afghanistan..the ultimate bad arses

West African cowards without french troops can't stand terror. This exactly the Mali situation that my Ethiopia former colleague told me.West African are so cowardly the army and citizen run... when confronted by islamist or herders..he said he never saw people so cowardly. Please call France .Mali,Burkina Faso, Ivory coast.. cowardly Igbo..youruba..akan tribe like tribes along coast who run when Fulani or Hausa or Berbers show up... literally running towards the coast..army and civilians all head down south until French troops show up.Bantus their negroid cousin are normally scared farmers but their cousin in west African are ultimate negroes...I can't understand how you can be scared you can't fight. Maybe a little of Sahara desert hardening is required...if you dare invade our people..you ain't going out alive...we fight you with all we got

Ruto has for last two years assembled kenya best brains to think about Kenya situation and come up with a solid transformation plan.
Few of these things are novel.
Kibaki took over from Moi recession of -2% growth and in 3yr - we were doing 7% growth.
Kibaki balanced the budget in 3yrs. It's mostly a repeat of what has been done before - with few new ideas.
We took borrowing from 65% to 40% - gdp.
Upto 300 kenya best policy wonks have been involved.
The maths is solid.
Ruto is proven guy who get stuff done - the roadmap is there.

Gok will not borrow - it will sell it assets - Safaricom alone is worth - 15-20B dollars - gov has 35% shareholding - that a lot of money that can finance budget deficit.

obaaderemi:
This looks good on paper. wink

Now tell us how you can achieve budget cut of $3bn. Unless you want to admit to the fact we've been raising for years here that a third of your budget gets stolen yearly.

Question2:How is Ruto going to stop borrowing when your economy and society depends so much on it? Ruto must have been reading this thread. grin

I like point 4. I have always told my fellow Nigerians on other threads that any government incapable of giving the citizens running water is not worth it no matter what else they achieve. I grew up having running water from government but today you have to provide your own water in many parts of Nigeria. I won't lie, it's pathetic. Point 4 is good. Good luck to Ruto on that.

Point 6: Forget it, it's impossible.

I laugh at point 8 and point 9.

How will you increase private and public saving in a backward country like Kenya? How? The country is poor and the people are also poor. You need all the crumbs you can lay your hands on.

By point 9 you mean no subsidy for things like fuel, electricity, etc. Kenyans will become poorer and inflation will rise. Trust me, it will mess up your society. Even Europe, America and countries like Iran don't play with subsidies. Nigerians understand this problem. It's a problem nonetheless. Let's see if your Ruto has the balls.

Point 10 is just a dream like someone said.

Osariemen12:
Stop trying to make Nigeria look perfect in the eyes of other Africans when we have numerous problems to fix. It's not in our own interest to pretend as if we are the best. What he said concerning insecurity on our highways is nothing but the truth. Outside this, national grid collapsed on Sunday leaving many states without power even now; it's not as if we had power before now. At least 583 out of the 774 local government councils in Nigeria are still without electricity. No Nigerian town, we don't have a place qualified to be called a city in the first place, has pipe borne water supplied by the water board. Individuals provide water for their household uses and those who can't afford to do so pay fellow poor Nigerians from the north who walk far distance to fetch water for them or do so themselves. 80% of my fellow Nigerians still do open defecation, particularly in southwest.

Our education system is in shambles. Lecturers are on strike even as I type with students involving themselves in different types of legal and illegal businesses and adventures. Our internet connections are the worst in Africa not because of the number of users but the available broadband which is not enough for one state is spread across 36 states and the federal capital territory. Our life expectancy as Nigerians is among, if not exactly, the lowest in Africa. Reason the dream of every Nigerian is to leave his country and celebrates when he does so. If you are a Nigerian you probably don't live in Nigeria now, just like I am typing from Abidjan as a Nigerian. Every none Nigerian on this thread will certainly affirm that Nigerian migrants to his country are the largest among African countries. Should I write on the poverty rate in Nigeria, especially the north? Hell no! What of out of school children? Internally displaced persons? Beggars who dot the streets and entrances of major shopping and religious centres? Kidnapping spree? Banditry? Prostitution among our poor women? Sport betting as the only job for the ever-growing youths? Thuggery and touting? The list is endless.

Why I am not in anyway trying to demarket Nigeria as my country, it is better we stop trying to place ourselves where we don't belong as a nation. We are among the worst. War torn Somalia might be better than Nigeria of today. At least I've been to many other African countries and none of them live the miserable lives obtainable in Nigeria. Even the person that made comments of Kenyans being behind Nigeria in everything is either living abroad or living in Nigeria as a politician. Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Angola, Cameroon, Gabon, Zambia, Rwanda, etc are far ahead of us. Their past in economy, education, life expectancy, mortality rate, vaccinations, security expertise, power, housing, road networks, internet connection, among others, is our future. A distant future at that.

Fellow Africans, please ignore the verbosity of Nigerian typist here distorting facts about my country, some of them are probably schooling in Ghana or doing one business or another miles away from Nigeria. Anyone who survives the Nigeria's system won't find hell tormenting.

Below is a typical school setting in my country.

The CBK Gov doesn't talk ishyt! I've been wondering at the sudden fall of the kshs. Despite the J/Uke thing our fundamentals have always been solid. It appears there's been market manipulation allowing the usual suspects to make a killing.

Everyone else I hope you now see why so many are opposed to UK and all his doings.

Migrants are usually coming from weak, poor economies and migrate to richer economies. In this case,Kenyan migrants workers are coming to TZ because we are richer than you. The same way Mexican are flocking to US,Zimbabweans are flocking to SA,Algerians to France, and now as u know, you are coming to your new found Europe (Tanzania ).

I can't blame you either.it's a norm. Since the creation of this world, people have been migrating to the green pastures. My plea is this, obey Tz laws,be humble, respect the locals who are now your big brothers then you will get enough to feed your bellies.
By 2025,we will need more Kenyan workers since we will be a new industrialized nation.Come and work for us the rich folks
Every country has inflow and outflow.. Kenya has many top brains from US working on its tech sector...they save and send back a lot of money...I have worked with many...who literally become millionaire in Kenya..wire money to US..buy homes. We receive remittance from US..we also send remittance to US.Unless you have net flows you're just being a Tanzania..a poster child of idiocy. At least Nigeria are messed up but rarely stupid like you

What I like about African elections is about hidden stuff which are unearthed concerning people's well-being and their daily struggle. In most of these nations, food is a big story hence you see politicians bribing their electorates with a mere ordinary cheap meal.I can't understand it,are these africans too poor to the point of being bribed by a piece of chapati?
This was symbolism of hustler nation..in Kenya this kind of food hawing is now done by Tanzanians,Burundians, Uganda and Congolese.Rwandese are in salons and haircut.Tanzania are also in industrial scale begging.Uganda are maids..Somalis into trading.Kenya is slowly moving into Middletown class nation and is one main source of remittance for region

Capitalism doesn't work for everything...if eskom lose top 100 customers to independent power producers..it will not be able to supply millions. Power sector demand a little complicated to left to capitalism.Eskom should be split orderly to ensure the units are viable.First seperate producers, distributors and suppliers.Just40 is right...you're digging a bigger hole like Nigeria did.Ipp will focus few profitable business like a mine or big manufacturing company...the millions of south Africa who need few units but live thousands of kilometers from power producers will left as Eskom become bankrupt
