This zero trust society - the more manual the better. The DIGITAL FORMS came in within 24hours. What is happening is just comparing ORIGINAL forms with digital and copies. It's VERIFCATION process.

Kenya election have to be 1) simple 2) verifiable 3) free and 4) fair - we are now dealing with verifiability - meaning checking each form against digital copy sent immediately, copies each agent got, and against original. Then checking maths.

The difference so far btw what was sent the 1st night and now is not even 1,000 votes after 8-10 million. Meaning it's VERY accurate.

This general election with six posts - and official declaration can only happen - when all forms have arrived in Nairobi - and this being a close election - everything has to be counter-checked. The difference is about 250K votes or 1.5%. Therefore it's not easy - even US takes time in such election.

I am in switzerland now; I am not aware of anything that has changed; France; Italy and Germany are dealing with stress; Swiss is an exception - prize are always high anyway - so it's inflation proof. Germany normally has lowest inflation. France and Italy the highest. Generally Swiss live in their own bubble and will buy anything made in Swiss even if it' twice the prize.

In short the swiss dont give a damn about inflation - they are inflation proof - because they will buy stuff on normal day that is some serious factor higher across the border - for them it about the country, the swiss brand as highest mark of quality, and their own world. The polling and voting happened in polling station. The documents are sealed. What can be done is re-tallying. But boxes cannot be unsealed except by court order - and it will be supervised by high court judge. This avoid abuses. Kenya is a low trust society. Ghana is better in that regard. Our tribalism is very serious.

The purpose of recounts is to make sure that everything was tallied properly which means, if there was an error in the first count, a recount will correct it since all the polling station documents and votes cast are made available at the constituency level collation center.

And this is supposed to be done with the various party agents available to watch the process, who already know the results from every polling station in that constituency.

This way, courts only come in when parties can't agree on the results from a particular polling station or constituency.

There is room to retally the total but not alter primary document.
The ballot recounting can only happen under high court order.
The ballots are kept for three years
Presidential petition is heard and determined in 28 days.
Kenya became 1st country to annual a presidential election
So there is no problem - if polling station data has issue - and the contest is very tight - normally high court order a recount - and can declare new winner or order repeat election.
