Anyways, I want you guys to help me check out this product m.aliexpress.com/item/874874998.html and tell me the total cost in naira. Also, tell me if the dealer is alright and whatever you think will help me.

Like I said, this is my first time.

The phone looks nice, but I will not buy the phone....the battery is 1800 mAh, when 2100 mAh no even reach. That is also why I won't advice anyone to buy the Gionee Elife E3, a very cool phone with a poor battery life. I don't want to be charging my phone everytime na.

This thread is just like comparing a BMW to a Toyota and then spewing thrash about thefact that they both you there...the toyota has better fuel economy and is cheaper to maintain and all. Of course that's true. The BMW is a luxury high end vehicle while the toyota is not a luxurious vehicle.
Techno produces low end phone whil samsung has a wide range of phones available for you to buy.
It won't be strange to say that almost all of you clamouring for techno are saying that based on your pocket. Thr are hundred of samsung mid priced phones you can get at a far lowr price and you can always buy that if you're interested in the android experience.
The screen resolution of those techno phons are crap...battery life is whacked....the camera is worse than a laptops camera....the screen scratches way too easily....samsung ui added lots of ffizy that you might not use though but its always nice knowing you have them and we're not even talking about the hardware yet.
It's those little things thatthe rich pay for and the poor always feel its not worth their money becaus they're still poor.
Quality and class don't even have a price tag but you can always put a value on medicority

Mr. Man, I thought this thread was closed! Why did you have to comment? What you said does not make sense at all. So, you want tell me that because I make use of a low-end phone, means I am poor? Haba!!! That is the mentality of the poor people na. The issue is not non-availablility of money, but that of priority. So you want to tell me that a student that makes use of an HTC One X is richer than a banker that makes use of a Tecno product? I have seen cases of people that use all their savings to get a particular product because they wanted to feel among, but at the end they could not cope. Don't get it twisted my brother. There are people that don't believe in spending much on a product that will not be worth it in a few months. Even SG SIII is not even an high-end phone again. New products come out everytime, so you want to tell me that you will keep on buying new editions of a product because you want to keep up?

The issue is not money, but what you are using the phone or product to do. Just buy what you like and can afford, not because of your peers or your need to make a statement.

I never knew there was a thread like this. I want to get a nice phone, and a lot of people have been talking about Aliexpress.com. I just want to ask, if you can place an order for just a product? I have not gone through the site to look for the phone of my taste; I wanted to hear from you before I start, and are you certain that I will get the product within the period as stated?

I so love the Zopo C2 and the THL W8+, but the issue is, are they readily availiable in Nigeria? I am not really into ordering from the net, I need to see what I am buying. So guys, do you have any idea if the aforementioned phones are readily available in Nigeria and where it can be bought, and how much.

But why did they just send it today? Do they expect people to leave what they are doing and go to MTN office? I actually got the sms but was unable to go; and to think that the sim registration would end on sunday...does that mean that my sim would be disconnected?

Can you imagine! Even if it was just lauched today, don't you think that it should be on the website of the company producing it? Just because a product is on GSMArena, does not mean that it is the best. I believe the best thing for you to do is to create your own thread and put pictures of the said phone; because if google cannot even find the phone, I wonder how you were able to get information on the phone. I am actually talking of the Volt, the others are kinda crappy to me.

But seriously, I have been following this thread from the beginning, even though I don't own the phone and I don't intend to get one. The title of the thread is self explanatory, it is for Tecno F7 owners and those that want a review of the phone, and not a thread for comparism.

I really don't understand why people are comparing the phone with other phones. For goodness sake, there will always be new inventions. The reigning phone today might be outdated in the next few months.

Tecno is a cool brand, although it is a Chinese brand, but it has made a name for itself.

Tecno has succeeded in producing cheap products for those that don't want to spend more on a phone. For goodness sake, how many people can convincingly tell me that they use their phone to its full capabilities.

People just buy phones because everybody is buying it, or because of the name.

I just have to mention the major derailers here-Godvilla and Physise or whatever. First of all, these guys are in virtually all the phone threads on nairaland, always derailing the thread. That was how both of them derailed the Gionee Dream D1's thread. It is obvious that these guys are teenagers-you will the surprised the numbers we have here on nairaland, and we waste our time arguing with them....gosh!!!

Nobody is forcing anybody to buy any product. It is your money and you can use it to buy anything you want to buy.

BUT, THE TECNO GUYS ARE ALSO AT FAULT. It got to a point that I was really disgusted. Yes, you have a cool and cheaper phone, but must you rub it in the face of everyone. Why must there be a comparism between Tecno and other phones. I really don't get it. For goodness sake, there is a thread that compares Tecno F7 and Samsung Galaxy S3,who does that? Only Tecno peeps!!!

Please guys, just focus on the topic at hand and stop the unnecessary comparism; because, those that compare are not really sure of what they bought.

But if you really want to compare, start with other chinese brands or low end android phones, or phones of the same price.

Just enjoy the phone while it lasts!!!

The price is .1500 naira. if you haven't used the airtel blackberry package before, you might need to subscribe for the airtel daily bundle, to activate it. Wrong! The Airtel Unlimited BIS package comes with 2GB and not 4GB and it is for a month. Except Airtel increased it to 4GB in the last 2hours. The last time I checked the Airtel BIS that costs #1500 is for 2GB which is better compared to what the guy was getting from Etisalat.

Gawd, You are good!!! I actually read his statement in the Gionee Dream D1's thread. I was surprised when he denied it. People are funny sha!

But I had about 7MB left in my account which I subscribed for, but when I woke up this morning it was not there. I actually subscribed for a day plan on saturday and on monday they gave me 15MB bonus. It was really surprising to wake up and see that the stuff was no longer there. But,Airtel had to do what they had to do. It was getting too much. Haba, people were just marketing data as if they were the owner. I just hope they will not tamper with their BIS on non-blackberry devices.

My guy, take some time and read what you just penned down. It is difficult to comprehend what you just wrote. So, you are a Tecno fan...what do you want us to do about it? You are just looking for a way to drive traffic to this thread. BTW, there is a similar thread out there and that thread is way better than this. Anyway, I think the first thing you could have done was to go through the threads of both phones and read the comments there. Start from the 1st page to the last of both threads. I believe you will get what you are looking for. There are lots of end user reviews there, even with pictures of the phone.
Tecno Phantom F7 is a cool phone but I would not go for it, if given the options to choose between both phone.
Just for two reasons... Gionee Dream D1 comes with Amoled display and Cornilla glass. You can google it if you are not sure of the meanings.
BTW, Gionee Dream D1 is about 5k more expensive than Tecno Phatom F7.
But.....yes.....there is a BUT....Gionee Dream D1 comes with a non-removable battery. i.e the battery can't be removed. There are no service centres in Nigeria, the phone comes with a 4.65 inches screen while Tecno comes with 5 inches screen....

It all depends on what you need and your pocket. I am sure that the Tecno guys will soon flood this thread if they are in the mood, so you will get more reviews from the tecno peeps.

As for me, I will take the Gionee Dream D1 over Tecno F7 anytime, anyday.

Lord_Reed: Yeah the phone came with the flip case. I got it from Devices and Gadget at Banex Plaza. If you are familiar with the area you know the Banex with the Diamond Bank? Just walk towards the the other entrance gate (not the one near the bank)you'll see the shop, it has the Gionee brand on the outside.

And those disputing my statement should read the report on gionee from aliexpress.com. I was not wrong! I am not saying that the phone is the best phone in the world. All I wrote was what I saw online. Thank God google is an open source of information, you can as well check it out. Don't forget I said '2nd highest selling phone brand in China' and not '2nd highest selling Chinese phone brand' they mean different things. I don't even own the phone.

I also got the message this morning. It is not realistic at all. There is no link attached to it. I am even surprised to see it here. Thank God people did not really comment....that goes out to say it is total falsehood.

The finniest thing is that nobody has been able to post pictures of the phone. The Camera quality, battery life etc. And to think that this thread has reached over 25 pages. Just check out Gionee Dream D1's tread and see the numerous pictures and reviews that can be found there.

Pardon my ignorance. But can you explain in a layman's language? Your pics are quite nice..especially the one u snapped that lady with the front camera. Are you saying that the camera is alright? I know we have dealt with this issue before. But I am just saying most of the reviewers complained about the picture quality in poorly lit areas. BTW, how is the phone. I am sure you have had ample time to study it. I want to know the issues you had with the phone and the qualities you liked the most about the phone. thanks!!!

But come to think of it, why is there always a comparism between Tecno phones and other phones. It beats me! First of all, it was Android os vs Blackberry os...I think the Android guys floored blackberry peeps. Now this! Samsung is a nice product. Tecno is also a nice product. Let us leave it at that. People that own an SIII have a reason why they bought it, same with the Tecno guys. If you are satisfied with the product you bought, leave it at that. I think there is more to it than meets the eye. Tecno Phantom F7 came out with Gionee Dream D1 (which is obviously a better phone) but I don't see anybody making a fuss about it. I am not a phone freak, but I just don't like the screen of the Tecno F7; it is so reflective. I also wonder why there are no comparism between computers. Most peeps make use of a laptop with different specs but they don't compare. It depends on what you use your device to do. I remember when the Blackberry Z10 was newly introduced, a female colleague of mine bought it for 130k, even when the only thing she does on it is browse, ping and snap pictures, who cares! It is her money and she had the right to use it the way she deems fit. I have the money to buy phone I want, but I will go for a smaller android device like the Gionee G3 because I am not techie guy. I just do the basics. The comparism is unneccessary. For goodness sake, the Tecno brand is not even recognised in the world. Just google the phone and all you get are reviews from Nigerian sites, even if all na copy and paste. If you really want to compare, the right thing is to compare a phone with its peers. Yes, the phone might be a Ghost in Nigeria but are you aware that phone maker is the second highest selling phone brand in China after Samsung? I know the obvious disadvantages of the phone, like non-removable battery, poor picture quality in low-light situation, lack of service centres etc. I have read lots of reviews on the internet and I am impressed.But same cannot be said of Tecno. It has no presence on the internet. I cannot buy a phone I know nothing about. Btw, the size, shape and look of the phone suits my needs.
