Just because Obama said it does not make it strange. Nigeria has all the potentials to be the Economic powerhouse of the World, whether we like it or not. I have always said that the problem with Nigeria is our mentality. We use our mouth to destroy what we have. YEs, we are passing through a phase, but whether we like it or not, Nigeria has been destined to be great and until we learn to believe in what we have then we will still wallow in poverty. I BELIEVE IN THE NIGERIAN DREAM!!! |
The thing don tire me ooo. |
2005 set in the how, howdy guys! Crazy Art students in the house, how far? |
I would be delighted if someone with any info on MFA recruitment shares it here. it would do a whole lot of good. The big question is what is holding dem and when will they call for interview or test. |
Please, Is it going to be just interview or they are going to do an aptitude test before that? Did your contact tell you how many people there are looking for? Please, I want to know because that is what I am waiting for. I just hope what people are saying that'they have picked those they want' is not true. |
jstringz: @srnn2x, I guess we were in d same hall 2geda. Where were u sitting? @ d kpmg guy, whetin happen na, kuldnt make it? @yomi2sure were u there as well? Sup wif pwc na?I was at the front. The first person to the extreme left. U? |
Lagos centre was in batches, mine was for 1:30 pm, but it began by 1:50 and ended exactly 2:50 pm, but the candidates were not a much. The hall I was in was not even filled up. They said Interview would hold on Thursday or Friday of next week. |
I have never seen a school like this before. When other school are admitting the second set of PGD, Unibuja is yet to commence with that of last year. What manner of school is this sef? May God help us~ |
Seriously speaking, people talking about CIA/FBI conspiracy this innovation are really paranoid. For goodness sake, this innovation is obviously not for the rich and powerful, it is for those that don't have accessible internet access. I wonder what an ordinary Nigerian have to give to the C.I.A, I would not subscribe to it for security reason because my mails will be accessed by anybody that comes in contact with my fones. I think facebook or twitter has something like this, I suscribed by I had to stop it because of the unneccesary notifications I was getting on my phones. Gmail really makes sense, it is more secured than Yahoo, I have a gmail account and I have never received a spam mail, Yahoo on the other hands gets double spam mails than my normals. Although, CIA/FBI espoinage is really, but I doubt if a tout or market seller has anything to loose. Now, the only way the CIA argument stands, is if you are thinking of running for a public position in the future or you are a relative of a popular person, then what you subscribe might affect you. I see a lot of people careers going down the drain in future because of all they put of on all these social network. GOOGLE SMS IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY! |
donedy: I think the United States is behind this; Using GEJ as a means to get whatever he it needs. How dumb can one be This makes no sense! |
When everything leads to tribalism. People always tend to insult one another in almost all the post on NL. |
slimming: so 3.9 GPA is a celebration in that university? when lots of people are making 4.5+ in Nigeria without international recognition.can't you read.......3.98 out of 4.00 CGPA, not 5 as the case in Nigeria. Dnt be cynical, celebrate people that needs celebration, as least he was born in Nigeria and have experience Nigerian life. |
How desperate can one get. For goodness sake, a total stranger claims he can help people get into the Nigerian customs, in dis day and age where good jobs are scarce. So, the guy would leave his relatives and pals. Please, when the guy asks for money dnt come here and complain. You people are literates, so behave like one. If the Nigerian customs is recruiting, believe you me, you would see it on the front page. Don';t forget what happened to some people in Abuja that contacted a guy like this but it was for Civil Defense. Just because you are jobsless does not make one foolish. |
I have been have a battle with facial bumps for a long while. I also get afraid when I have my hair cut because of the fear of bumps. I started with shaving stick and I had bumps that very minute, that was when I was just 16 and started growing hairs, i moved on to clippers and it was good until I began to get bumps, then I tried shaving powder and it was very perfect but one day I discovered I had monstrous bumps on my face. now I am stucked with clippers. Anytime I shave, i.e in barbing salon, i also get bruises on my face which makes me scared to shave and after some days I get bumbs. Now, my face is itchy and I have some ugly bumbs on my face and I don't know what to do. Guys, i need really life experiences on how you prevented and cured bumps. |
Just to let the house know that the issuance of the Federal Civil Service forms for the Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Education has been suspended due to the non availability of the forms. The notice is from Abuja but it was pasted in the Office of CSC in Ibadan, I think they will continue issuing them when they print more copies, so, guys save your T.Fare if u r thinking of travelling |
cjfavour: pls what of south east? Any info on where i'll collect d form?South East collection point is at the State Civil Service Commission in Owerri, Imo state. i dnt knw the address. |
olajay5: I heard one is to pay the sum of N6,200 in certified bank draft to get the form. Please how true is this claim? And kindly confirm also, what did one need to present before getting the form. That is a very big lie, it was published in the newspapers that the forms are free and one the form it is written free of charge. The only issue is that you need to qualify for you job you are applying for, read the advert and make sure you fall under the categories, also you need to go with your original credential, especially University result and Nysc discharge or exemption letter. |
jmaine: A simple routine that went tribal . . .They insisted only SW states collect forms from Ibadan . .when the memo clearly signified the intent of close proximity for collection of forms irrespective state of origini don't know what u are talking about, but I was at Ibadan on Monday being the last day for the collection of forms and they gave me, even if they said South West states, obviously, you stay in one of those states, all you need to have done was to collect using the state of residence, there was a place in the CSC that i saw state of origin/residence, btw I am from Abia but was born in LAGOS AND I WAS GIVEN THE FORM, all you will do is when u collect the form, go to the local government of residence and collect a letter of identification, which i did today in Lagos Mainland without any hassle. |
ait_anofi: Thanks for dis info, any hope for me, because i am hearng for d first time, and i reside in Lagos State, do u av d idea if d forms ar still available?I doubt if the Foreign affairs would still be available, but the Ministries of Labour and Education is still ongoing, you can go to Ibadan and collect. |
The Federal Civil Service Commission is truly recruiting. The Ministry of foreign affair was supposed to have ended on monday, I was in Ibadan on monday and I succeeded in collecting the form by 6 PM after waiting for a very long time. The form can be collected in some zones, for the South West is at Ibadan, it is not only South Westerners that can collect it from there, other Nigerians residing in the south west can do some, all you need do is to get a letter of residence from your LGA of residence before you submit, and your original credential is very important xpecailly UNIVERSITY rESULT AND NYSC CERTIFICATE. Ministry of Labour and Productivity with Ministry of Education is also employing, in the same place, but the closing date for submission is on the 20 something of July while submission for MFA is on the 15th of June. The requirements for Labour is just HUMANITIES, while Education are education courses, or other couses with a PGDE. The CSC is really serious about the requirements, u cannot get the forms from touts. |
gambus007: r u lukin 4 job or moni?mind u ministries dnt pay well.if u wnt career u cn go for it.U did not answer my other questions. I just wanted to have an idea how much is the pay, is there anything bad there? There r about 4 or so other questions. |
To those that have collected the form, can you please share with us what the process is like, especially those that collected from Ibadan, what are we supposed to use to collect the form? Will there be a form of aptitude test after the submission of the form? Is the collection of form based on state of origin, can an indigene of Abia residing in Lagos collect it in Ibadan and do any body have an idea the basic salary of a Grade 8 employee in the ministry of foreign affairs. |
For goodness sake, changing the name does not make sense. Whether we call it immotalization or not, it is a very stupid decision. I see drowning man trying to stay afloat. From all that was said this morning, it is only renaming Unilag that the president could do. If renaming the school was a good idea, then why are the students rioting at the moment. He did not even tell us how he was going to tackle poverty, unemployment or even insecurity. He just narrated what he thought he had done well, to tell you the truth, it seems like I have read something like that somewhere. On all lighter note, i will go and meet my unilag friends and ask them which school they attend now. |
I think NYSC experiences depends on the person involved. The way u feel is mostly a thing of the mind. I was posted to a place called Ofoni in Sagbama LGA of Bayelsa where there was no portable water supply, g.s.m network (only accessible with the use of an outdoor antennae) and access road, it is can only be accessed by water, i was posted to a school to teach, at first the corps members did not like it, but later on, we got to like it. We met a lot of people and impacted the lives of the students and the community as a whole. The voters registration and election gave us the opportunity to serve our fatherland and be able to impact the lives of the people. It has been over a year that i rounded from servicee, but i still misss the place like mad. If you are a fun person, we had everything there. I think people go into NYSC with the wrong intention, it should be morre of what u can do for ur country not what ur country can do for u. N.b i grew up in Lagos and schooled in Abuja, so it was more of an adventure. If i was using a pc i would have posted some rural picutures. |
Over a year has gone back but there is no collaboration. I think they got a better offer with their remix with Akon, i am not a fan of P Square, but the chop my money remix was really cool. To me, Drake is a dry dude and I prefer Akon to him. |
I have followed the activities of the Boko boys and their grieviances, to say the least, they are plain worthless. Those people don't even know what they are doing? If they were fighting corrupt governors or making sure that money budgeted for was used, that would have made more sense; but killing innocent people, that is a blow below the belt. God would judge them and their sponsors. |
If they have started calling, i just hope they would call me for the interview 'cos i have waited for this for a long time. To those that have been called, congrats and all the best in your interview! Don't forget to tell the house the interview process. |
It's been really long, but I have searched everywhere and I have not heard anything. Like what someone wrote somewhere in NL, Firstbank recruitment process is really slow, |
if this is what it will take for the incessant violence against christians and settlers in the north to stop, then I am in surport of it. The fanatical muslims in the north think that because the bible preaches against violence that they can do anything with anybody. I believe that the new counter terrorist group if genuine would go a long way in stemming the tides of the Boko haram because the Nigerian security agencies have proven to be incapable of curbing the boko haram violence due to the fact that majority of the officials are from the muslim north and they would be forced to kill their brothers. Look at what they did in the Niger Delta, for them to be successful in a rugged terrain as the Niger Delta then how can they not curbe the violence in the North. Nigerians has not been told the truth. So, if it takes the new terrorist group to curbe the incessant violence in the north then I am 100% in support of it. |
Negro_Ntns:To say the least, she is not asking a legitimate question. She, you and every1 supporting are just plain tribalistic in nature. hw can somebody say the igbos are jealous of lagos and it is because of lagos that they do not want to leave Nigeria. Do u thing lagos or any part of the south west is self sustaining. Nigeria is best if we remain together but if peole like you dont want to go beyound the Biafra period then shame on you. Nobody is jealous of lagos, infact, lagos is nothing more than a failed city and it would require every1 in Nigeria to rebuild lagos, so, if u are tryn to be sentimental, then u can rebuild lagos on your own. it is people like you that is making Nigeria divided instead of us to be united. |
This makes no sense!
