Guys, have any of you been called for documentation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? A friend of mine was called yesterday to go for documentation today. He has done his and was told they would get back to him. He is from the North Central Region. Did any get the call? |
I pray that when this is over, we all will be successful and we would come back here and give our testimonies; encouring those who have the myopic view that merit does not count in government recruitment. |
Seems like d list 4 labour and education won't com out.....coz I see no reason for this delay, it's obvious something is wrong somewhere. For how long will FCSC continue to put us @ d edge of the clif. God knows best. I pray God to touch their hearts so that people that wrote the aptitude test should know their fate.[/quote I don't know if this helps, but I believe dat the list of labour and education won't come out until FCSC concludes the recruitment into MFA, since they were the ones dat conducted the interview into foreign affairs and they are not through. A little patience is all we need. |
This wait is killing me o. I just pray that God would crown our efforts with success. |
Does anyone know many people would be taken from each state and for each position? Does anyone even know when they would get back to us? |
There is no straight answer to the question. I believe it all depends on one's preference. Both organizations are good, they have their perks and their disadvantages. |
You guyz that have already been interviewed, how was it? What questions were asked? |
Leonpek: @s3nn2x. How are u? What was ur experience with the interviewers pls? Will like to know incase one is called upon.mine is next wednesday but a friend of mine who has done his said it was nice and he was asked current affairs questions and other basic interview questions like the motive of wanting to work in that particular establishment. He also said that he was interviezed by a panel of about 12 people. |
Just a piece of info. For those that were shortlisted but yet to do their interview 1. The identification letter from the Local Government, is the one you got from your local government, it can be a certificate of indigeneship, certificate of local government of origin or whateVer, as long as it was goTten from the local government. It is not a special letter addressed to F.C.S.C. By the Local government. 2. The interview is conducted by a panel of about 10 peOple or more. 3. You will be asked about countries and capitals with the names of their presidents. 4. You will also be asked why you want to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 5. Most of the questions asked are already what most of us already know due to the nature of the course we studied. 6. All you need is confidence. 7. The interview would take between 15 to 25 minutes. 8. You will be called according to your region, states and number on the list. 9. Dress code as usual should be formal wears. 10. Also note that this is what was asked people that have been interview, it is not a guarantee that they will be asked again. 11. All you need do is to brush up on your current affairs aNd you are good to go. N.B I was informed by a very close friend of mine and a former course mate who was interviewed yesterday and he is from Bauchi. |
davidson96ers: Pls can someone help me check my name ? From edo state. EHIGBAI DAVID FRIDAYsorry, your name is not among the shortlisted. |
Please guys, can any of you tell me what a leTter of identification from the Local Goverment means? I have a local government identification certificate that was issued by my local government, I want to know if it is the same thing. |
bobbydbobo: Mine is on the 17th(monday)... Pls for those who have done theirrs, pls share wiv us. Plsssss. Remember we are from diff states so we can't eat into ur uota, who ever would b picked dbecnt derpls share wiv us frnds.i no understand ooo. But, a friend told me that they asked current affairs questions like Countries and capitals abd the names of their presidents. |
Ibb4tone: Those whose names were shortlisted will never come out boldly to share their xperiences with u. They are sons and daughters of d Looters. They were shortlisted, not by merit. I wonder when the beautiful ones will be bonrI had the intention of ignoring your outburst, but it would do no good. Let me categorically tell you that some people were shortlisted based on merit. I was shortlisted. I collected the form like everyone else, wrote the exams like others and my name is out by the grace of God. So, you have a right to be angry but don't drag other people with you. Thank God for nairaland, you can go through my previous posts and confirm. |

Thank God! My name is there> I just checked it on http://www.fcsc.gov.ng/sites/default/files/fcsc_recruitment_sept2011_todate.pdf |
minudus: Hey Guys,Lol! How I wish that was so true! I am tired of waiting ooo. |
Iheard something like that today. It was in a programme held in Uyo or so and I know that the Gov. Of Akwa Ibom countered his statement. |
Okija_juju: If they make that mistake, some people go use 5000 Naira 'credit' in 1 year.. They will only put on their DSTV on match days or Big Brother eviction Sundays..And what is wrong with watching DSTV whenever one feels like it. I hope u are not among those myopic people who think that Satellite TV is for the elite alone. It is not an issue of money, it is about value of money spent. C.P.C. Is right on this issue. I am very sure they have done their research, if not they would not have come out on public TV to say what they said. |

I really hope so. The wait has been quite long. |
It is a known fact that Uniabuja has a lot of problems. To say the University is underdeveloped is an understatement. A lot of people just came here and spill crap. I am an Alumni and I can say that I did not have the best of education due to the infrastructural challenges, but what she failed to achieve in Infrastructure she made it up in the quality of lecturers. Let's not forget that there are other departments in the University of Abuja and not just Engineering and Medicine. The Mini campus might be a glorified primary school because that was what it was originially made for, but the permanent sight when completed would be.a sight to behold...it is still underconstruction but some department has moved there along with the Administration and other staff. The place is in a serene environment that would give the students the opportunity to read in a conducive environment. The school is not there yet, thanks to the inefficiency of the present vice. Chancellor. Please, all those criticising the school, have u been to the permanent sight? As for the Medicine and Engineering issue, both the university and the students are at fault, it is a know fact that university is more of Arts/Social science/Law/Science/Education/Management science kind of university. Every other thing na just trial and error. I do not and will never regret gratuating from the university of Abuja because my stay there prepared me for Nigeria as a whole. BTW University of Abuja is the only truly Nigerian university where u can see people from every part of Nigeria staying together in unity. |

Best ever thread on Nairaland. |
Iykebestbt: A friend of mine narrate to me how he went about his own interview...it all started as a 10 man pursuit but only a slot was needed...they sat for exam which 8 persons did great...they sat. For the second exam and the number was reduced to 5....after an oral interview,5 of them were still head to head...so they invited them early morning the next day....while they were waiting for another exam or interview, the HR asked them "WITHOUT LOOKING AT UR WRIST WATCH, WAT IS THE NAME OF THE WATCH U ARE PUTTING ON?...everybody's eyes goes clocking!....only a guy got it writemine was almost like that; except that when Τ̲̅ђε̲̣ HOUR came in after waiting for him for over four hours, he then asked "who wants to drink tea" only one girl out of Τ̲̅ђε̲̣ eight of us said she wanted, Τ̲̅ђε̲̣ HR told her she got Τ̲̅ђε̲̣ job and asked her to leave. Although I was called for Τ̲̅ђε̲̣ next stage to see Τ̲̅ђε̲̣ MD, but I did not get Τ̲̅ђε̲̣ job. This happened in June this year in a manufacturing firm at Ikeja. |
Is it in the state of origin one can check or anywhere and is it just scores that is out? What next? How will someone know the next thing to do and what is the cut off mark if u av an idea? |
That is very possible because a friend of mine in Abj said that he heard a rumour that people are already checking their result in secret. He has not confirmed the story yet. |
Who cares! And why the comparism between him and the Facebook founder, we all know that Mark is a success story and there is 3 decade age gap between them. |
