Kyase: I joke with my south-east governor friends that the whole of five states of south-east can fit into Kaduna two and the half times - El-Rufai
El-Rufai who recalled how he will always joke with his Governor friends from the South-East region on how the whole of five states of the south-east can fit into Kaduna state, two and the half times, added that there is difference between security in headlines and security in facts. He said
You are the one that can answer this question not social media.
He is your uncle. Let elders in your family intervene if you feel like saving the marriage.
But make sure its not life threatening.
On a second thought. Given your account that the wife is I'll mannered, its possible that your uncle has seen well mannered your lady that give him all he needs. But for a marriage of over 3 decades. What he needs after retirement is rest of mind.
Let elders in the family or senior person s from his religion circle intervene.
quote author=Xj2020 post=106809796]He is a very principled man. Very religious and doesn't play with his God been a devoted Muslim. Extremely rich and bless with four grown up children with the second of his children getting married in a month time.
He retired from the bank 2 years ago having risen to the pinnacle of his career in the banking industry having served in different capacities for almost 35 years.
Yes, the wife is uncultured and ill-mannered. He knows already and has been managing her all these years.
He is presently in court seeking to divorce his wife and has vowed that nothing would stop him from divorcing his wife.
My question is what could possibly make a man thrown in the towel and walk out of his marriage after so many years together?

Unigrad: Good evening all. I am working in a private establishment and the monthly salary is not enough base on extremely high costs of goods and services. I work from Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. gawu1: Did I say you are who you are or who you are not? You accuse me of making assumption, but I don't see how better you fare here. Besides, it's all the same should the stone hit my enemy's friends even if he is my kin. I assumed a friend of my enemy is potential enemy. I don't go to church on Sundays but Fridays. Happy Friday in arrears.
Pls do not engage with bitterness. Because when you throw your stone, blindly, into market, you don't know who you are about to hit. I'm not whom or what you assumed.
Assumption is the mother of frustration.
Happy Sunday.
gawu1: Have ipob pigs stop beheading their fellow kinsmen who talk against them? You see my fear
gawu1: Problem with inyameri pigs is that they have shortsighted sense in time of politics. How can you automatically dash an important position to a particular sect of people and yet say they are still free to contest the remaining important post with others? Don't you think they may end up taking the two important posts that are expected to be shared equally? Anyway, I now believe that research that says inyameri are must political naïve set of people in the world, yet they haven't see the need to learn from political sophisticated people they are living with. Wait and see how the north will take the two positions, both the chairmanship and the presidential ticket of your over two decades darling party. Mr superior complex, over to you.
You are special. They are the ones that will miss the opportunity to marry a nice guy, if you are one. Such girls are usually have their parents resident in the GRA, government rejected areas. They usually oitpriced themselves.
There was a girl like, she will soon enter menopause, no marriage, no child. She spent the better if her days being sophisticated.
Focus on your dreams. That make you a good selling point in the happy home space.
Don't sweat the small stuff.
Lenny22: I am a final year student of a popular Federal University. I'm not rich, neither am I broke. Of course, my present financial strength is average. I have a nice physical appearance and I consider myself as good looking. I don't have the courage to approach girls that look exotic or sophisticated. By this, I'm talking about ladies with nice outfits, dope nails, expensive phones and wear expensive Perfumes. I wouldn't like embarrass myself, I just admire from afar but deep down, I want to date one.
Its during regime I realised that wisdom is not by age neither stupidity.
They want to unity in diversity, yet they lack the wisdom in tolerance.
Agu, you have done your bit. The earlier the better. Let the people hear what the spirit is telling them.
Let my people go. We are not cursed to be wanders in the south. There is no way the freeborn and the people cursed/people serving god under the curse of God can co-exist. It can't work
loveth360: Days after being freed from DSS custody, Nollywood veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu, opined that it would be better for the Igbos to leave Nigeria.
Speaking to Broadway TV on his support for Biafra, Agu said "the earlier Igbos left Nigeria, the better".
Agu revealed that he was not in any way brutalised by the army when he was arrested. Giving details about his arrest, he stated that his regalia did not in any way connect to Biafra, Eastern security network, and IPOB. Agu maintained that his regalia stood for the rising sun which meant that people would rise from their former state to something better.
Is there anything like acceptance if resignation in your contract?
If not, I don't think there any law either, except the pension demand for it when you want to collect your pension.
My advice:
1. Go to your pension office, explain to them as regards your unremitted pension, no acceptance of resignation, and other things necessary which the company is not providing
Follow up with pension company so that they report the employer to pencom or write the employer to let them know they are working against the laws.
2. Go and return their money. They are not suppose to ask you about that, but sure it is documented. Better, discuss with the person in.charge to provide account no to pay the money. Make you send a mail to discuss how the money remain in your custody, ask for account to pay, and demand for receipt or acknowledge of the deposit in the company's account. Never pay to personal account ti avoid paying twice.
You can ask if you need more adviser
Seeeker: I don't know what to call this... I tendered a resignation letter with 3 weeks notice despite that no notice clause is contained in my appointment letter.
They just collected the letter and said nothing. When the resignation became effective, I left the company and they still didn't tell me anything about handing over to someone else as is the practice there in case of sack.
It's been a month I left and they still didn't contact me about handing over. My concern is that they didn't remit a Kobo into my pension account. Why I'm expecting them to ask me to hand over is that I have in my custody about 5k belonging to the company. I didn't borrow the money. It was kind of something left in my care.
So, if they later ask me to come and do proper handing over, should I ask them about my pension? Some people sacked in the past said their pension was not remitted too.
