Please stop wasting your time by deceiving yourself.
The approach was work study.
That age you mentioned, 40-45, faced similar things you are facing. Grab the opportunities available to you now and reject every form of pity party. It ain't do you any good
tensazangetsu20: I used to abuse the older generation blaming them for completely destroying the country for the younger generation especially Nigerians in the 45 plus age bracket but I have been thinking and I feel that age range of Nigerians actually had it much worst than Nigerians of today.
Nigeria is still an absolute shithole today but at least the internet exist which is enabling young people to make a living online. Something that was impossible or unheard of like 10 years ago.
How did older men survive Nigeria when they were young. I mean let's say you graduated from unilag or unn with a mechanical engineering degree in 1984 when Buhari was head of state. They were no jobs, unemployment was still very rife. There was no internet for freelancing or stuff like that. Bujari destroyed the economy then and a demon IBB entered and became president as if that wasn't worst Abacha came in. By the time Abacha left, a 22 year old man from buhari tenure might have been 35 or close to 40 years. Lived through all this bad governance, poverty and hardship. It's so terrible when I think about it.
Older Nigerians how did you guys do it? I am really curious to hear your experiences.
You'll see fine guys with ugly girls and you'll be wondering 'how did this happen?' - Toke says she wonders what initially attracts fine men to ugly women.
Your post is a social indicator of joblessness in Nigeria. Obviously you are not engaged.

When I saw the AAA Rating yesterday, I knew another loan is in the pipeline.
This another avenue for massive fraud in Lagos state.
Those saying that the Lekki tolls are going to tinubu are kidding. The fraud were perpetrated at the level of obtaining loans for the project and during construction. If he collect anything from the daily proceeds, its nothing compared to the massive already done.
Sanwo olu was a former senior banker. What that means is high level of fraud concealment.
They are into serious business. They should buy land and do proper ranches that will even expand their businesses. They should rather be talking of how they want to save the country from importation of dairy products to save our forex reserves. Must they continue to wander about?

That shows that he has been tolerating excuses and failure before.
But will he co tinue to tolerate ineffective commander in chief at the detriment of the soldiers?
camri list=105775397: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya has warned that he will not take or accept excuses from commanders as they lead troops in tackling security challenges facing the country.
Yahaya gave the warning at the opening of the “Combined Second and Third Quarter Chief of Army Staff Conference’’ on Monday in Abuja.
He said the army under his command would remain resolute and continue to chart progressive paths towards tackling the challenges.
The COAS disclosed that he had directed that the tempo of all ongoing operations be sustained and improved upon.
He also said that he had directed that special operations be conducted, especially in the North Central and North West to address deteriorating security infractions in those zones.
“Commanders must, therefore, glean from my `Command Philosophy’ to ensure that operational and administrative proficiencies of Nigerian Army units and formations are sustained and improved upon.
“Commanders must seize the initiative and commanders must take initiative, they must take decisive actions to defeat the threats in their respective areas of responsibilities (AORs).
“I will not again take or accept no excuses. Gentlemen, failure is failure irrespective of the circumstances,” he said.
Yahaya said that efforts were in progress to provide the army with combat enablers to enhance and boost its operations towards addressing the logistics constraints.
He also said that concerted efforts were being made to eliminate the threat of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) which had been a major impediment to troops and their operations in the North East.
The army chief assured the commanders of his determination to rebuild the fighting skills, capacity, confidence and morale of the troops across the various theatres of operations.
According to him, training must also be given due attention that it deserves.
He added that priorities for the fourth quarter of the year would include training and more training.
“I will ensure that through functional training, officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army are equipped with the right attitude, competences and skills to effectively undertake daring missions in addition to developing special operations forces.
“This would be closely followed by procurement that ensures appropriate kitting and provision of protective gear, weapons, equipment and platforms.
“Let me however remind you all that while no effort will be spared in achieving these goals, it is command responsibility to ensure the sustenance and maintenance of all equipment.
“We must therefore strive to improve our maintenance culture to prolong the life span of our platforms and equipment,” he said.
The COAS said the conference would offer opportunity for the officers to brainstorm and interact on the state of affairs of the Nigerian army and review their activities for the second and third quarters that were crucial to the stability of Nigeria.
He said the interaction was with a view to coming up with new strategies for winning the war against terror and other violent crimes being perpetrated across the country.
The Chief of Policy and Plans (Army), Maj.-Gen. Anthony Omozoje said the conference with the team, “Developing Enduring Strategies to Accomplish Assigned Mission in a Joint Environment”, was designed to enable commanders to interact on ongoing operations.
Omozoje added that the discussions would also focus on all activities of the Nigerian army during the second and third quarters of the year.
According to him, the current security challenges in the nation require army to review its current operations and adopt better strategies to tackling them.
He expressed confidence that the conference would produce the blueprint and outcome that would help in reshaping the security landscape of the country.

Let's be careful the way we pain picture of an event. In the first place the FG could not articulate charges against him. Even up to now. All the charges can stand the test of time. The Buhari just want to keep him till end of his failed term.

With a sad and heavy heart, I'm writing to seek your advice and/or recommendations.
My mum is late. She died 2 years ago and since her demise, everything has turned left for us - her children. We were deserted and left to fend for ourselves by our uncles, aunties, and other relatives that we thought were with us when my mum was alive. My dad is still alive but he only pretends to care about us. I can't even remember the last time he has done something good for any of us. Our school fees, food, everything, were taken care of by my mum.
There is a 50-year-old man who we were later told is our distant relative. His house is a stone's throw away from our house. When I was at home, I used to run errands for him, like going to the market to buy things for him. So it was normal. He used this same method on my sister. He took advantage of my sister's naivety and impregnated her. She's barely 16 and I swear to God, she has not known any man until this bastard did this to her. He even ran away from home and plan to come back when tensions are low.
Note: we left her in the village with my dad and my brother. We, the elderly ones left the village to hustle in the city. We have not settled and we couldn't afford to take them with us.
Please I need your advice. What should be our next line of action? He's 50 and won't marry my sister. There is also a high tendency that he won't even take care of her and the baby.
Please what should we do? We are all we've got and nobody to turn to to help us fight this battle. What should we do?
He is too munu compared to the last 2 on the matters of security, development and independence of decisions making. So Lagos people are no secure nor assured of future under his leadership.

Her comment comes after Tonto shared a post responding to an earlier attack from Bobrisky.
Tonto said she doesn’t have time for nonsense, which seems to have triggered Bobrisky.
Bobrisky started this whole fight earlier today after Tonto Dikeh posted a motivational message on her wall and she shaded her in a post that despite all her motivational messages, she has never found a man to settle down with.
