Foreign Affairs › Re: Breaking: Fmr SA President Jacob Zuma's vehicles worth $300million dollars..Vide by saengine: 11:26pm On Mar 20, 2018 |
This is fake news. I'm sorry but please don't confuse SA for a complete "banana republic". What began the downfall of Zuma was his $20 million home, of which the simple fact that SOME government money was used for non security upgrades. That was enough for him to be reprimanded by our courts, and told to pay back the money.
And you think he'll have $300 million worth of cars without our media & opposition parties ripping him apart? Don't believe everything you see on the web. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Just Voted To Seize Land From White Farmers by saengine: 2:21pm On Mar 18, 2018 |
This thread title is incorrect & is nothing but scare mongering. SA Parliament has started the process of amending the constitution, which may lead to all land owners (black & white) transferring their ownership to the state, and signing long term leases. Most white farmers are going nowhere, some with massive properties may be asked to share, and some with historic claims on that land may be asked to move to another area. Don't confuse SA with Zimbabwe. |

lionel4power: but why do your Rooivalk travel in pairs?? I would assume having an extra pair of eyes and sensors is an operational capability the SAAF will not budge on. Helicopters are magnets to ground fire, and that extra Rooivalk would be able to pick up the source and engage it. I would take a wild guess and say many chopper pilots shot down never even see who is firing at them, before its too late. |

rawswag: Its so discouraging and disgusting what this thread is turning into....it "WAS" once a picture only thread with discussions on the minimal but now i have to go through three pages of childish arguements just to see a picture its really disheartening I might be wrong, but I've never seen you post a single picture. Why don't you also post to make it less disgusting? Threads like this are almost impossible to keep as pictures only, and discussions are bound to happen. But yes, there are many completely off topic chats that creep in...like arguing about steel production . |

First female Rooivalk pilot in the SAAF. Is this not the same lady from those old-ish SANDF pics on the net, carrying a log on her back?

Henry240: Well, there's a first time for everything.
I know the red smoke is usually used for evacuation, but we are talking about Niger, there is no American helicopter(s) in Niger, only French.
I'm trying to wrap my head around the whole thing. Red smoke being used as cover is from the news reporter in the story. I think they just assumed that's what it was meant for. In such an open area, it didn't cover anything. In my opinion these guys did not fully understand what was about to go down. They may have thought it was a few guys taking lucky shots until it was too late. |

Come on Henry. These two drones aren't anywhere near being the same size. But it's good seeing Nigeria's capabilities increasing in this field.
