Ladies and gentlemen, sit back and watch as he now goes into full ret@rd mode. It takes skill to be a good troll and you aren't one. You're just an irritant. Just keep posting pics of Kenyan Administrative Police and move on.

It's clear you already had that Afrikaans comment locked and loaded, ready for use. Which shows you already have a deep hatred. Well that's your problem, deal with it. In my case I'm not even Afrikaans... I'm a black man from the Eastern Cape grin.

I guess Kenyan police have zero corruption and criminality that you had to find an article on South Africa rather wink.

newafricaken254:
i am trying to fathom how you can hire someone who has a criminal record, when you job is to keep track of this criminals

The South African Police Service recently admitted that hundreds of serving police officers are convicted criminals. The figures are shocking but they fail to reveal the full extent of criminality in the police.PDATE – 23 July 2014: Last year the South African Police Service revealed that a “protracted” and “thorough” audit of the police’s ranks had found that 1,448 serving police officers were convicted criminals. Lieutenant-General Nkrumah Mazibuko – the acting deputy national commissioner for human resource management – told the country’s parliament at the time that action would be taken within a year to clean out the police’s ranks. Pressured by MPs for a timeframe, he offered a “temporary date” of June 2014 for the police’s fitness boards to finish evaluating all the cases.

That hasn’t happened. According to a report in the Afrikaans daily newspaper, Die Burger, South Africa’s new police minister Nathi Nhleko said this week – in response to questions from the opposition Democratic Alliance – that all 1,448 police remain on active duty. According to Nhleko, the Labour Court ruled last month that the work of the fitness boards was illegal, invalid and without any legal force. This followed legal action by the police union Popcru. The South African Police Service (SAPS) revealed recently that 1,448 serving police officers are convicted criminals, among them a major-general, ten brigadiers, 21 colonels, ten majors, 43 lieutenant-colonels, 163 captains, 84 lieutenants and 716 warrant officers. And it has hesitantly promised to rid the police of these “unwanted elements” by June 2014.

Is this, as the police implied, the extent of criminality in the police service? If true, it would mean that fewer than one percent of South Africa’s 157,470 police have been involved in criminal activity. Furthermore, is the commitment to rid the police of convicted criminals serious? If so, what is the evidence?
National police minister Nathi Mthethwa described the audit which produced the figure as “protracted” and “thorough“. The 1,448 police it uncovered had all been convicted of “serious crimes” ranging from murder and attempted murder to rape, assault, corruption, theft, robbery, house-breaking, drug trafficking, domestic violence and aiding escapees. At least 64 of them are currently based at police headquarters.

It's funny how you always dig out whatever dirt you can find on South Africa. Make peace with whatever beef you have. Get over it. Digging out articles from 4 years ago. Hundreds of police officers have been fired since then for being criminal elements. It's clear there was a time in South Africa's past where the correct checks and balances were not made.

As for "you can't fathom". Yes you can, you can very much fathom such. Or if we were to dig up dirt on your native land of Sweden we wouldn't find anything? Please.

Confirmed on Nairaland - Exercise Lion Effort is MANDATORY for all Gripen users. Gripen users are held at gun point to attend.

Confirmed on Nairaland - In 2012 the SAAF (with a smaller budger for 2 Squadron than 2015) trained a minimum of 8 combat qualified pilots who were "allowed" to fly at Exercise Lion Effort 2012. Once they got back, 2 Squadron was closed and no Gripen pilots took to the sky ever again.

In conclusion all countries that fly Gripen jets should sell them as scrap, and rather buy JF-17's. All operators of F-16's should also sell them and rather buy JF-17's. Infact all airforces around the world looking at purchasing "non stealth" aircraft should all purchase JF-17's. With Nigeria's current 2 squadrons of this amazing aircraft, they have shown the world how efficient this platform it is.

SAS AMATOLA RE-FIT ALMOST COMPLETE

In two weeks’ time to the day, Naval Station Durban will welcome home SAS Amatola following an extensive mid-life refit at Southern African Shipyards (SAS).

Back in her home port, Amatola will have her armament refitted and indications are she will then undergo a complete sea and weaponry assessment before being put onto the equipment roster as “fully serviceable” again.

Her armament includes a 76 mm Otobreda main gun, a pair of LIW DPG 35 mm and two Oerlikon 20 mm cannons as well as eight Exocet MM40 anti-ship missile and Umkhonto 16 cell vertically launched surface to air missiles. She is also fitted with torpedo tubes but none of the Valour Class frigates presently carry torpedoes.

I dont even know why they are fighting so hard for JF-17 as if they currently have 1 example in their hangars. 1st export order for JF-17 is to an Asian country, with deliveries set to start in 2017. Unless Nigeria is Asian, I dont even know why they talk about it on this thread.

Stop wasting your time and provide evidence that the SAAF has more than 9 qualified Gripen pilots.

I can show you Fmr.President GEJ in Airforce uniform, does that translate to him been a winged officer?

Brain freeze. Ability to think demolished.
If you want to shift goal posts and run away like a little b*tch boy, and not debate like a proud man then so be it. I also wont waste anymore time with this.

You said we have 6 qualified Gripen pilots, and TOTAL of 9 pilots from 18 aircrew. TOTAL of 9...you said. If you had been a man, instead of a cowardly boy the topic of qualification was 2nd on the list. But you have proven that you cant even bring yourself to admit you were wrong about the TOTAL number of pilots being 9. All the evidence i showed about TOTAL number of pilots being greater than 9 is easily verifiable. Post those pics on avcom.co.za, saairforce.co.za, flyafrika.net etc etc and you'll get your answer that those are indeed SAAF Gripen pilots.

Now out of the blue you want proof that there are more than 9 QUALIFIED Gripen pilots, when initially you said we have no more than 9 TOTAL, of which 6 are qualified.

Like i say, issue of qualification was next. But let me not waste any more time on a cowardly little b*tch who cant admit to his own mistakes. Infact it wasnt a mistake, you pulled the number 9 Gripen pilots completely out of your a.ss

[s]How does taking photographs make a pilot combat qualified? Even Jacob Zuma can pose for fun photo wearing pilots suit.

Is a photograph equal to standard flying hours per year? E-fool.

Dude, SAAF has ONLY 9 Gripen pilots and NONE of them is combat qualified with 150 hours flight per year, it's a pity you have not got a source to prove otherwise....your bad luck not ours [/s]

There is no evidence that you have more than 9 qualified Gripen pilots. Did you provide evidence that they have been winged?

Did you provide evidence and it was disputed. Guys in flight suit, do not show whether they are Pilots or Navigators or Trainees, no evidence they have been winged.

Former President GEJ in Camo, does this make him a General in the army or even an officer in the army?

It is your job to provide evidence that SAAF has above 9 winged pilots.

Continued...

Pic 1: This pilot flew a solo display at AAD 2014. That's where this pic is from.He is not a navigator and not even Liberia's Air Force will let a "trainee/unqualified" pilot do high G manuevers over a crowd of 50 000 people.

Pic 2: Like i said this pic came from Christo Crous, an official photographer IN the SAAF. It was titled "2 Squadron pilots" and was taken just before the 2009 Inaugural flypast. Pilot in the middle (black guy) is Commander of 2 Squadron. Experienced fighter pilot, not navigator.

That brings us to 9 pilots. Now...ALL the other people in the 2nd pic will have to be navigators if you are right. During the 2009 flypast only the black pilot flew, and the rest of them were clinging on to the outside of the Gripen? Was it a "1 jet" flypast?

What does your common sense tell you about the rest of those men in pic 2? All navigators? Or basic trainees who barely know how to fly in a straight line?

Keep in mind many Gripen pilots were transferred from the Cheetah program. So tell us...the rest of the people in pic 2 are not Gripen pilots?

Throw away that word "qualified". You never used it next to the number 9....dont dare start using it now. You used it with the number 6, and 9 TOTAL pilots. Stick with that. Now....

Pic 1: 1st SAAF pilots to be qualified/trained on Gripen IN SA. Pilots before them were trained in Sweden. All 3 flew in Exercise Lion Effort 2012 (Sweden) in single seat Gripen C's. These are pilots. Not navs or "trainee's".

Pic 2: More Gripen pilots who flew in Lion Effort 2012. Pic was actually from SAAB website. Again only Gripen C's flew in Sweden.

Pic 3: Another pic from Lion Effort.

Pic 4: Blokkies Joubert. Definitely not a navigator or "trainee". Google him if you wish. He has been with the SAAF since Cheetah days.

That's 7 pilots so far. Not navigators and most definitely not "trainees".

Why don't you quit this rabble-rousing, show us evidence that they have been winged?

You were transfixed with the number 9...you claimed thats how many we had total. Now you're running away from your own number 9.

You cant ask for proof twice in a row small boy. You asked for proof that we physically have more than 9 pilots. Today it was given to you....there are physically more than 9 Gripen pilots in the SAAF.

Now it is your job to either apologize and say that you were wrong, that indeed there are more than 9 pilots. OR show us which of the 14/15 pilots shown today are no longer in the SAAF. Up to you. It is YOUR turn for proof, not ours.

At present the SAAF can only muster six qualified Gripen pilots who only have 150 flying hours available across the whole Gripen squadron this year, according to Maynier. The annual target for fighter flying hours was 250 for the 2011/2012 period, according to the Department of Defence’s most recent Annual Report.

http://defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=29831:a-dozen-saaf-gripens-in-long-term-storage35:Aerospace

SAAF only has 6 qualified Gripen Pilots, and only 9 Gripen Pilots of a total Gripen crew of 18.

June 16. 12:26 pm. Page 2290

-Chief of the South African Air Force, Henry 120 states that we only have 9 Gripen pilots of which, only 6 are qualified.

-He is shown evidence that there are physically more than 9 Gripen pilots.

-After choking on his coffee, he now demands proof that we have more than "9 qualified pilots". Utter utter desperation.

-Let him show us which of the 14/15 pilots shown no longer fly in the SAAF. Let him show us who makes up the famous number 9.

Your numbers still do not add up. There is no evidence you have above 9 Qualified Gripen Pilots. Of that number, which of them are navigators, the photos of those Grand pa's, no evidence they are still flying. Again it still proves our point, the SANDF has the world's oldest soldiers.

Thank you for triple shooting your soweto foot.

Now, provide evidence that the SAAF has more than 9 qualified Gripen pilots? Thank you.

You can do yourself a favour and save YOUR own time by not ever replying to my posts again, if you're going to drop this rub.bish and run away like a little bi.tch boy.

I have shown you 15 Gripen pilots taken from 2009 up until 2014. The other day you said we have 9 Gripen pilots total, BUT ONLY 6 are qualified. It is YOU who said we have 9 pilots. You never got that info from the SAAF, Defenceweb, Janes Defence....etc. YOU took a number of 18 aircrew, divided by 2, and said we have 9 pilots.

Now kindly show us which of the 15 pilots in the pics (infact let us even say 14, since Blokkies Joubert is a reserve pilot) have left the SAAF, bringing the total number to 9 Gripen pilots. If you are unable to do that, dont even waste energy moving a finger to reply.

You think you are being smart by now asking for proof of more than "9 qualified pilots"? You yourself said we have 9 total....6 qualified.

[s]Pilots walking on the ground is not same as pilots flying in the air, does your Gripen operate on the floor where those men are walking?

2012 is three years ago, your pilots have lost their combat qualification, they need 150 hours flight each per year, they get just about 12 hours each.....TOTALLY DISQUALIFIED from combat.....SAAF Gripens will fall to even Ugandan air force Su-30 Flankers !

BTWN.....99% of your combat pilots for Gripen are white, and some old men whites ready to retire....Soweto Black Mutant brains CANNOT fly a 4th Generation jet fighter......same story we hear about your Valour frigate and Submarines, one set of crews for each vessel, 1 Frigate 1 Sub is all SAN can deploy to war.

Bank loan can buy you weapons but CANNOT buy you black/coloured btains to operate them shocked shocked[/s]

5 current Gripen pilots can be seen (sitting on the ground) in 2009 when they were still Hawk pilots (note the different flight suites between Gripen and Hawk). The pilot sitting on the far left/front was in the process of converting from Hawk to Gripen but was killed in a motorbike accident.

Again...ball is in Nigeria's court. #showusyourproof

MYTH OF 9 SAAF GRIPEN PILOTS SMASHED - PART 2

Pic 1 - Blokkies "Cobra" Joubert. Test and operational pilot

Pic 2 - Another Gripen pilot. Did a solo display at AAD 2014.

That is a total of 15 Gripen pilots purely from pics

Ball is now in Nigeria's court. Show us (with proof) which of these pilots no longer fly for the SAAF. You were brave enough to say 18 aircrew = 9 pilots. So be brave again, show us which of these pilots no longer fly, giving you a total of 9 pilots.
