"Governor Nasir El-Rufai lecturing my class back in ABU Zaria. He lectured us free-of-charge; and also provided studying materials for us free. As a mark of generosity, Nasir El-Rufai gives us money for lunch during his lectures. He usually give us at least 15 -30mins for the lunch. Beside the fact that he is a good teacher, he is very passionate about qualitative education. In our general discussions, he never hide his criticism on poor education policy. He was a source of encouragement for some of us. I recall the day he gave me and my classmate Munir Othman lift from Kaduna to Zaria; on our way, he tapped Munir on the back and said "Munir, read!!. You guys should read. Read any useful materials you lay your hands on. We are entering the world of knowledge". On the mass sack of unqualified primary school teachers in Kaduna state, I think Governor Nasir El-Rufai was pushed by his desire for qualitative education. It's unfortunate that in this country, we don't take public school education serious. The schools have been reduced to mare play ground for the children of the poor and those who can't afford expensive and well equipped private schools. So, many things have gone wrong in our education system over the decades. As if good education is not for poor pupils/students. Hence, I support the recruitment of qualified teachers into the schools; and also plead with the governor to retrain the old teachers who are re-trainable." Culled from a facebook post

See the sharp contrast between the accommodating response of the muslims and the hostile response from the Christians. That says a lot. |

For those calling SA backward compare their country with yours. Just because there are idiosyncratic differences between you and them does not give you the right to talk trash. Here are some pictures SA tell me if a woman would rather drive and live in that hell hole region of yours or order an uber and comfortably say in SA

LARION CALL FOR RESTRAINT! Fellow compatriots, with deep regret and heavy heart, following the sad news of the destruction of human lives and property in Abia and Rivers state, by IPOB terrorists, targeted at perceived Hausa/Fulani Northerners, I call on our people in the North to show high level of maturity, intelligence and patriotism, and avoid reprisal attacks in the North. I present to you my arguments as follows: A dangerous semi illiterate loser from London, found his way back to Nigeria and meticulously conned his gullible people into accepting him as their so called freedom hero and Messiah. Nnamdi Kanu and the vast majority of his senseless pedestrian followers were not born when we fought the unfortunate Biafran war. Millions lost their lives. These ill informed people do not know the misery, death and destruction that war brings. It is therefore too easy for them to beat the drums of war. Furthermore, the same wicked and senseless IPOB terrorists are oblivious of the fact that if reprisal attacks were to happen in the North, our Igbo brothers and sisters living in the North will sustain far worse losses than anybody else. This is because quite often, they own big assets and own more successful businesses than their host communities. But then, the sanctity of Igbo lives in the North and security of their properties have never been Nnamdi Kanu's concerns! The intoxicated young man is busy basking in the delusion that he will one day be the head of state of the Biafra nation. While Kanu and his fellow-travellers are recklessly playing Russian Roulette with the destiny of our great nation, we must not allow ourselves to be used as pawns to achieve their deadly dream of carving Biafra out of Nigeria. We must therefore avoid reprisals, and remain calm and law abiding at all times. President Muhammad Buhari is an Army General and two times head of state. He gallantly fought the Biafran war. He comprehensively wiped out Maitatsine. He spectacularly repelled the Chad aggression. Were it not for his three months absence due to illness, Boko Haram would have been history by now. With this impeccable record of fighting wars and defeating insurgency, let us give our Commander in Chief the benefit of the doubt. Let us believe that he will deal decisively with the IPOB terrorists, just the same way he has been dealing with Boko Haram. Notwithstanding our call to avoid reprisals in the North while remaining calm and law abiding in the face of naked aggression by IPOB, the unity and territorial integrity of the Nigerian state MUST never be negotiated, even if it means going into full scale war with IPOB! May God save Nigeria and Nigerians. Ameen. Dr. Idris Ahmed. www.twitter.com/cupsnigeria. 12/9/2017. |
I hope this shit does not get to FP without more details. MURIC has a spokesperson did he say it, where and when. #stopthespreadoffakenews |
Although the Saudis need to do more, but the OP has a more sinister motive than what he admits. Here is how the rohingya Muslim refugees are spread over the years and although I don't want to stoop to your level of dirty politics, I don't see Iran down there.

How is this a picture of pilgrims sick and lying around. Saudi government dedicates all its hospital in makkah and madina to treating pilgrims, beside the mobile hospital and clinic that are all over. Also each state in Nigeria goes with its medical team and supplies apart from the federal government contingent. These bloggers and online news are really degrading journalism with lazy reporting. For starters which state in Nigeria do the pilgrims in the picture come from, which 'hospital' are they lying around in. Here is a more apt and accurate caption for the pictures : "kaduna state pilgrims sit in lobby of a building after a hot day in the holly land" - and yes that is the uinform of kaduna pilgrims |
Ok |
The pictures look doctored. But what do I know, we are in a society where we believe everything hook line and sinker. |
not bad... First, this is poor journalism at it's peak (or shall I say base). Poor usage of tense, incoherent and disjointed article (what is Wike's name doing in there). Back to the story; There are 4 economy coaches and 1 first class coach. Each coach has an average of 95 seats. The conomy fare is 1,000 and first class goes for 1,500. The train does 4 trips daily. If you do the maths that adds up to like a yearly turnover of over 600,000,000 naira (around $2,000,000). Although the cost of the project is estimated to be $876,000,000, with the addition of 10 coaches that should boost the annual turnover estimates by an additional 1,200,000,000 naira (about $3,500,000), and even more with additional trips. |
sorry I dont mean to be sadistic, but where are the bruises from the brutality. |
I think its more. There are 4 economy coaches and 1 first class coach. Each coach has an average of 95 seats. The conomy fare is 1,000 and first class goes for 1,500. The train does 4 trips daily. If you do the maths that adds up to like a yearly turnover of over 600,000,000 naira (around $2,000,000). Although the cost of the project is estimated to be $876,000,000, if the rail system is completed to Kano and more coaches/trips are added that should bolster the turnover estimates. |
