fake news. This is what I found on Twitter

The governor is the worst in recent memory of niger state. no foresight no blueprint. Like they say an apple never falls far away from its tree. He is from the state and the state is what it is today. You must have fantastically myopic leaders if your state (or atleast its border towns) cannot benefit from proximity to and being the largest land donor to the FCT |
I think we can comfortably say that Niger state is worst governed state among the North central states. Talk of being worst of the worst. |
Make no mistake IPOB, ESN, UGM and their supporters (which I dont want to believe majority of ibos are included in) are TERRORISTS. What is going on in the East is TERRORISM! Yet neither Ohanize nor the south east leaders have come out to UNEQUIVOCALLY condemn the fire the youths there are playing with. As far as analogical deduction is concerned since ibos have chosen not to condemn this then they are tactically supportive of it. You dont sit on the fence on issues of TERRORISM neither do you justify it with any excuse whatsoever. |
We live in wild times |
RisenJoe:I think it was more of sheer cruelty of men. |
Here is an interesting aljazeerah documentary into the Canadian dark secret of indigenous schools. very touching. I watched it some months ago, so hearing the story of the discovery of the bodies felt like closure! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peLd_jtMdrc |
By Anna Mehler Paperny TORONTO (Reuters) - The remains of 215 children, some as young as three years old, were found at the site of a former residential school for indigenous children, a discovery Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau described as heartbreaking on Friday. The children were students at the Kamloops Indian Residential School in British Columbia that closed in 1978, according to the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc Nation, which said the remains were found with the help of a ground penetrating radar specialist. "We had a knowing in our community that we were able to verify," Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc Chief Rosanne Casimir said in a statement. "At this time, we have more questions than answers." Canada's residential school system, which forcibly separated indigenous children from their families, constituted "cultural genocide," a six-year investigation into the now-defunct system found in 2015. The report documented horrific physical abuse, rape, malnutrition and other atrocities suffered by many of the 150,000 children who attended the schools, typically run by Christian churches on behalf of Ottawa from the 1840s to the 1990s. It found more than 4,100 children died while attending residential school. The deaths of the 215 children buried in the grounds of what was once Canada's largest residential school are believed to not have been included in that figure and appear to have been undocumented until the discovery. Trudeau wrote in a tweet that the news "breaks my heart - it is a painful reminder of that dark and shameful chapter of our country's history." In 2008, the Canadian government formally apologized for the system. The Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc Nation said it was engaging with the coroner and reaching out to the home communities whose children attended the school. They expect to have preliminary findings by mid-June. In a statement, British Columbia Assembly of First Nations Regional Chief Terry Teegee called finding such grave sites "urgent work" that "refreshes the grief and loss for all First Nations in British Columbia." Coldsperm:Was it not the muslims that maintained the site and its various churches and synagogue opened to the 3 Faiths for over a 1000 years before the coming of the colonialist in the 19th century? The church of the holy sepulchre has remained a church due to the importance islam assigned to places of worship. Here is what the Quran teaches : "And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned" ch22 v40 Notice how it is stressed to muslims that monasteries, churches, mosques and synagogues are places where Allah's name is celebrated |
Truth be told it's an unpopular policy but a strategic one. And the fact that he is willing to fight the fight which he may not see its fruits, but which future administration will most certainly RIP its benefit, says a lot |
like I said |
The original story is from a BBC video. (here is my take on the entire video) The BBC are bloody hippocrates. This is a case of a poorly done hatchet job by a "classless" journalist for the BBC with incredible twisting of facts beyond credulity. (if you are in Abuja and you know the Human rights radio you'll understand what I mean) I use to hate the way everyone was glued to this programme, from taxi drivers to uber drivers, security posts to barber shops, in fact I had to scold one of our sites in Nigeria for blasting this programme at the top of their speakers instead of playing entertainment to our customers. But I am having a change of mind about the programme. Nobody is perfect, but you admonish or constructlively correct and not sadistic approach the bbc is taking What the BBC did in the above video. Firstly with no evidence, the tone of the whole investigation is to paint Ahmad bad. ideally for an investigative piece you would expect the facts to be presented and then an undeniable conclusion of culpability or otherwise is arrived at. But in this caricature of a piece you could sense the unsubtle attempt to force the facts to fit the BBC's intentions. Just watch for your self. These are their reason for demonising the show The girl in the first pics below was burnt by her aunt for claiming to be a witch. The second pics is the aunt who was invited to the studio and asked why she did it. she said something like "it's the devil". Ahmad lost his temper and slapped her (which he shouldn't have). But was the bbc waiting for Ahmad's mistake to make a video? The annoying part was that you could sense from watching the video that the BBC approached the Radio station with a sanctimonious neutrality stance, only to go back and edit their videos to suit their vicious intent. Not minding the countess good works he does like in the third pics below where the happy girl is receiving treatment not complement of the BBC nor of the federal government but rather the same Human right radio they desperately seek to discredit

That's what you get when an unstoppable object meets an immovable object. Unfortunately Nigerians aren't cut out to discussing issues, we play politics with everything hence I needn't say more. |
Forget the upside down world we live in today. The two pictures actually says a lot - but only to people of reason |
gaius01:The first paragraph is your opinion and I respect that (even though I don't agree) On your second paragraph The vast majority of the middle east was under the Ottoman empire (modern day Turkey). After WW1 with the collapse of the Ottoman empire the west (Europe in particular) shared the former Ottoman lands amongst themselves. Thus you would understand Turkeys interest in the happenings in the middle east (as its former backyard). Just like the french are still interested in Mali, Niger etc. as their former colonies and the same way Russia sees NATO's expansion into eastern Europe as an affront, east Europe being part of the former USSR |
Do you think it's a coincidence that the west shipped the jews to the middle east in the first half of the 1900s? They got tired of their cunning ways and moved them to Palestine where they would be distracted "fighting for a homeland" while the west can "breathe a sigh of relief" In the time of prophet Muhammad similar dynamics like you mentioned above played out. The 2 biggest Jewish clans in medina then each had a pact with 2 warring arab tribes. This meant that when these 2 arab tribes fought the jewish clans were on opposing sides and had to fight each other and resulting to Jews taking fellow Jews as prisoners of war even though Allah forbade them in the Torah explicitly (Jews fighting Jews and taking them as prisoners) That is the exegesis of the verse below: And [recall] when We took your covenant, [saying], "Do not shed each other's blood or evict one another from your homes." Then you acknowledged [this] while you were witnessing. Then, you are those [same ones who are] killing one another and evicting a party of your people from their homes, cooperating against them in sin and aggression. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom them, although their eviction was forbidden to you. So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? Then what is the recompense for those who do that among you except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the severest of punishment. And Allah is not unaware of what you do. 2:84-85 |
gaius01:Let's forget the historical angle for the sake of argument. Netanyahu knowing the right wing parties where in talks with the centrist to form a coalition that will oust him and possibly lead to his conviction in the criminal case against him. He then criminally instigates this conflict by storming Al-aqsa mosque on the holiest month of Ramadan (Laylatul qadr night. injuring over 300 worshippers while they pray) and at the same time stealing Palestinian homes for Israelis in east Jerusalem knowing full well that the Palestinians will respond. And respond they did, Netanyahu seizing on this to escalate the conflict with Palestinians, thereby stoking nationalist sentiment back home. It worked because just on Thursday isreali media reported that one of the right wing lawmaker key to the negotiations of forming anti Netanyahu coalition has told party members that negotiations was "off the table". This will grant Netanyahu the respite he criminally orchestrated using human lives (both Israelis and Palestinians) |

The banner reads : "The Germans destroyed our families please dont you destroy our hopes" What an irony the situation has turned to today

udemzyudex:How it started? For eons middle east Jews and their muslim neighbours have lived in peace and harmony in Palestine. After the first world war Britain decided to ship the European Zionist jews to the middleeast (why? because even the Europeans where tired of the overbearing nature of the jews which was the cause of wide spread anti semitism in the west even till this day). On arrival the European Zionist jews formed a militant group attacking British interest and Arab neighbourhoods in Palestine - disrupting the peaceful coexistence of the Arab and middle eastern Jewish population. One thing led to another and the 6 day arab Israeli war happened. Israel emerged victorious, and furthered its annexation (I.e. stealing) of arab lands in the west bank, Gaza and Jerusalem. Displacing and destroying arab neighbourhoods driving them into neighbouring Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt as refugees. And Israel building settlements which are considered illegal under international law even till this day. Over the decades israel has subjected "its Palestinian population" to sub human conditions. something you would think a people who survived persecution in the west and the holocaust would know better of. So that's how it started and has been going... |
This is what the quran says about people of the book (a noble status given to the Jews and Christians in the dark ages) لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَاوَةً لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُمْ مَوَدَّةً لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّا نَصَارَىٰ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ "You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah ; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant" -Sura Al-Ma'idah, Ayah 82 |
This is how it began. Israeli police storming the mosque on the holiest night of Ramadan (laylatul Qadr) and shooting stun grenades and bullets at worshippers. if that's not provocation what is? |
Just imagine the Vatican burning and some people from other faith celebrating and dancing around. is that not provocation of the highest order? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P1CvDMivN0 |
Hello guys. my wife has a 2007 v6 rav4 and the fuel consumption is crazy. from my little analysis the car is doing 4.8km/L or 11.3mpg. I think this is not normal. any experience or suggestions. |
They say silence is complicity. Although I have been around long enough to know that the multiple accounts spamming the cyberspace with celebration of terrorists are just a hand full of ipob trolls on overdrive. But where are the voices of reason in the southeast - igbo politicians and ordinary citizens. Are they going to sit by and: 1. watch Northerners terrorised in their cities and towns 2. watch their region burn just to spite the government 3. Are they silently cheering these terrorists on? |
I am impressed by the OP for bringing this up and the mod for deeming it fit for FP. I'll be right back... |
This pantami saga is obviously a hatchet job. There is a new story every day. |
