Enculer:I have not actually lived in Europe. I have only been to 2 European countries on business visits which didn't last more than a month on different times so I can't really say much about Europe. However the West (western Europe and North America) is almost the same when it comes to how their society works except for just few ideological differences. |
Shameless African leaders. Does this mean that this summit cannot be done in any African country while Putin travels down there? These stupid leaders will go to China for an African summit, go to Russia for an African summit, go to America for this kind of summit. Anywhere dem call them, dem go leave their major issues at home run go. Very soon, they will go to India for an African summit. These countries have never considered that Africa itself should be the place to hold summits about Africa cos these stupid leaders have cheapened themselves. At the end, Russia invited them to sell his market. Russia is one, Africa is many yet they waste their little resources traveling there instead of inviting Putin to Africa since it is about Africa. When will Africa have self pride and respect? |
edoairways:Bros, a lot of things to numerous to mention. For instance, we had elections on Monday. That day was a like a normal day. There was no police, army, thug anywhere to snatch or burn ballot box . There was no public holiday, people went to school, work and other businesses like any other day. Polling booths were open till 9pm and there was no police or army , anywhere yet there were no issues. People voted for their candidates peacefully and before we woke up the following day, the results had been announced and the losers congratulated the winners immediately nothing like going to tribunal. If you were coming into Canada from naija based on how our naija elections are, you will surprised that elections were going on and it was just like a normal day. When I look at all these things, I tempted to regret why I didn't move earlier to live in a working society. Nothing has given me more joy that living in an environment where things are working. How I wish naija will also work, i would have been happier. |
But wait ooo. Why is it that all the third world shithole countries look alike? |
bigtt76:Do you want somebody to commit suicide? Don't joke with some kind things ooo. Lol |
jayfolarin:You don't support the home industries by just closing borders, you will create another Avenue for smuggling especially in Nigeria where corruption is in the blood. At the end of the day, both the local and foreign goods will become expensive so what is the point? What this government is doing is to apply temporary cosmetic approach to solving a fundamental problem. How long do you think this border closure will last? What happens again when it is open? The reason why foreign goods are in demand is because they are cheaper and has more quality. Producing anything in Nigeria is too expensive and until made in Nigeria goods can compete with foreign goods price for price, quality for quality, foreign goods will remain attractive. One thing is sure, business all over the world are not patriotic and only cares about their profit. That you closed the border will not force anyone to invest his money into any venture. Look at the US for instance, Trump has been trying to force American companies in China to bring their factories back to America by putting tariffs on goods coming from China, has he succeeded? The answer is No. Why? Because these companies knows that manufacturing in America is far more expensive than China and that would hit their profit margin. The only way to solve manufacturing problem in Nigeria is to build up our infrastructure to support industrization. With our ridiculosly cheap labor and reducing the lending rates to a single digit, Nigeria will become very competitive that even companies in China will shift their production to Nigeria cos our goods will be cheaper than that of China. For now, we don't have the infrastructure to produce pin that would meet local demand not to talk of producing goods that would match its rivals in other countries. |
Shout out to people who would always use their real age no matter what. Happy birthday to her |
An average Nigerian is an oppressor. Why did the girl call soldiers? Because she wants to oppress others. When a Nigerian has money, he/she will use the money to opress others, when they have power, they use it for oppression. I'm not surprised one bit |
Living in a third world country no be beans ooo. Look at how humans have been reduced to animals. Chai |
They are reserving that probe close to 2023 if Tinubu officially makes a move. Most of you behave as if you don't know how Nigeria works. I was disappointed in Tinubu for agreeing to pull that bullion van stunt, he didn't know they were setting him up for the future. 2023 will be interesting |
rentAcock:Unfortunately there is nothing the government can do as they are part of the problem. The truth is that relying on a shithole alone that won't get any better in this generation is dangerous. The wisest thing to do for any parent is to give their children an option of another citizenship. I feel so happy that my kids have this sweet option. It is not their fault that their initial country is a shithole so they shouldn't be the ones to fix it |
Lol. When the teacher is even confused, what can the student do? Chai, some kids don suffer |
Unfortunately boko haram will make a statement by killing soldiers in days to come going by how they have reacted to Nigeria Army propaganda in the past. I pity the soldiers that would slaughtered in the next few days If you recall, boko always come back with a devastating attack against the army whenever the army makes a statement showing they are winning the war. I hope the soldiers on ground understand this to save their lives from an impending boko attack |
wechat1:My brother it is so painful. A country that relies on the goodwill of private citizens for emergency situations. What does it take to create a standard emergency services? Which kind of stupid country is this? You can imagine the number of citizens that have died in helpless situations like this. Too bad |
TONYE001:It seems you are new to nairaland otherwise you wouldn't have quoted the idiot. Every reasonable person here knows the idiot has no conscience and avoid him like a leper. My advice is that next time don't waste your time for idiots like that, it's of no use. |
See as someone is playing with bacteria just to trend |
Why would the organizers use Nepa light in the first place? Serious organizations doing serious things don't use nepa whether there is light or not. I believe the generator supplying the power broke down suddenly. They can't tell me they were relying on nepa, that would be a stupid thing to do. |
I remember a day before we left naija, I and my wife went to the bank, I withdraw 8m and my wife withdrew 2m and we changed it to Dollars in preparation of our journey the following day. My cousin was mad. He was like "you are stupid ooo. How can you go and burn 10m abroad instead of investing it here" He made a last ditch attempt to stop me by showing me lands, properties that I can buy that will generate profit for me. He also brought a business idea which he says will double the money in 18 months. After all his rant, I told him that man shall not live by money alone. I am not a slave to money and I want more than just money. Most people don't understand why someone wants to leave naija. The reasons look stupid to them. But then there is no right or wrong, it is just a matter what you want out of life. We can't all have the same mentality. This is why I tell people not to do follow follow but examine themselves properly to be sure what their interests are before making any immigration decision. My only regret today is that I should have left naija earlier than when I left but thank God I left finally. |
Why will this stupid argument ever end on nairaland? Una no dey tire? |
Thank God. Nigeria can now be liberated |
Nigeria is not called a shithole for the sake of it. There is a reason. Too bad, Nigeria has dehumanized her people |
franchasng:Hahahahahahahahahaha. Chai nairaland cannot kee me |
Na so. Nigerians are king of talking. We have been things like this over time but it ends there. |
Megir:Bros forget. Churchill knew exactly what he was doing. He wanted fame not marriage. It was all planned out from the beginning. There is a guy currently planning to marry a celebrity as we speak not for love but for fame. He has already planned the number of years to stay in the marriage if the marriage works out. It will work cos the guy has money and swag. Even Tonto's village people will run away from her not to talk of one yoruba man far away. How did you guys ever think that it was a real marriage? |
solmusdesigns:Bros I'm not surprised manufacturing in Nigeria is damn expensive. I have run a manufacturing biz in naija before and it is not beans. In fact, cost of diesel alone will hit ya button line. Until we solve our infrastructural problems don't expect anything manufactured in Nigeria to compete with imported products by price and quality. I hail naija manufacturers , dem get mind. Me as a person can't try that shit again. |
You guys should stop disturbing yasefs. It will still not make any impact. It is just a yearly ritual. |
AutoReportNG:How I wish you will go to my own state and expose the rot in there instead of concentrating on Lagos. Maybe the stupid leaders over there will be ashamed and sit up. Stop showing these issues of Lagos please, a lot of people don't appreciate it. They would rather conceal it and suffer in silence than exposing the rot. They think they are doing others, they don't know they are doing themselves. |
NwanyiOkpa:In one Nigerian musician's voice. I can't remember her name "If you ask me, na who I go ask? The matter wey u talk so, e don tey we e start, no be me go talk am, e heavy for mouth, if you ask me, the matter for ground, na who I go ask?" Lol |
Last last Buhari na big scam. So Buhari cannot release it to the public by himself? |
naijaseeker:I will not be part of people who throw blame to others or issues in the past for our present problems. The past is the past, how can u change it? To solve any problem in any aspect of life, you need to acknowledge there is a problem, own the problem totally which will now give you the needed energy to solve it irrespective of who caused it As a people we don't fully acknowledge the problem not to talk of owning it instead we stylishly downplay the problem and put the blame on someone else. The world is a dog eat dog world. Anyone who wants to be exploited will be exploited, it is not a new thing. Even in Nigeria today, people are exploiting others too. The west has exploited their own, guess what? China is now coming to exploit the same continent. In the next 60 years, the problem will no longer be the west but China this China that. Will I blame them? Never! Because people have refused to acknowledge the problem, own the problem and solve it by themselves. Let us keep blaming western powers and probably wait till we are 200 years to get the basic things right since 60 years is not enough. |
naijaseeker:Bros with all due respect you don't get it. When we say Nigerians are dumb or not smart, it does not mean that all Nigerians are dumb. What it means is that majority that carries the vote are not smart. You could be in the outnumbered 10% of the population that are smart but does not change anything as far as classification is concerned. You confirmed what we are still saying when you talked about restructuring. How is it going happen when the people are dumb? Is the will of say 10% of the smart people going to overcome the will of 90% of the dumb people? This is the summary of the whole talk |
When people start sexualizing her as a sex object some people will start reminding us that she is someone's mother |

Even the ones that studied computer science in Nigerian institutions can't write ordinary HTML code.
