AlabiJ:Guy, we are not fighting. What I'm trying to tell you is that you can't compare America debt to China to Nigeria, they are different. America owes China $1.1 trillion but this is not in real money terms. This means that China has bought US treasury bonds equivalent to that amount. It is not only China, majority of the countries buy US dollar denominated bonds because it is seen as one of the most safest currencies in the world. China can decide today to sell off its US bonds (and others will buy it )to get back their money but they can't because it will also affect them as the reason for buying is to hedge the yuan against the dollar and keep it artificially low to make their export cheaper. However the situation of Nigeria is different. China is not buying any naira denominated treasury bond from Nigeria rather they are giving Nigeria raw money which is then paid to Chinese contractors (clever move by the Chinese). So at the end, we are going to pay back this monies in Dollars not Naira or yuan despite that China enjoyed the greater part of the money through their contractors. So America and Nigeria as regards to Chinese debts are different things. I'm explaining this especially for people who hear America owes China and use it as a justification for Nigeria to drown in debt to China. |
AlabiJ:America is not owing China they way Nigeria is owing China. America did not collect cash from China like Nigeria did. China bought American government bonds and they can sell it at anytime they want. Besides, as at today, other countries like Japan and the UK has overtaken China in holding American govt bonds because China has been gradually offloading US bonds it bought. Besides buying American bond keeps the yuan low against the dollar which is good for Chinese exports so it is a win win So don't use America situation with China to compare Nigeria. One is selling bond to the Chinese while the other is collecting raw cash from the Chinese. This is how you people are deceiving Buhari to drown Nigeria into debt thinking that America is owning China raw cash |
Slawormir:Yes you are right. Every body deserves a second chance including rapists, armed robbers, kidnappers, ritualists etc in Nigerian prisons. Buhari should release every one in Nigerian prisons as they have repented too. What is good for boko guys is also good for other criminals. Buhari thinks he is doing us ,he does not he is doing himself and his people. |
dustydee:Remember you are dealing with China not one liberal democracies with some checks and balances. Whatever China wants China gets through tactical means. There is no court, civil society, opposition that can stop China communist party. China wants more than those railways and that is why they crafted an agreement that enables them to grab any asset other than military and diplomatic assets. Make no mistake, China is a rugged as Nigeria in a cunning way, the difference is they are intelligent and strategic. Of what use is the loan sef? The majority of the money is still going back to China. They used their contractors, raw materials and manpower and yet we are owning them. It could have made sense if we collected the money and used Nigerian contractors, raw materials and manpower to do the job. It could have helped the economy. When you are doing something with someone where you don't have any leverage, you have to be careful. Right now, Nigeria does not have any leverage against China so they are at the mercy of China. |
Last last, Buhari na very big scam |
Buhari na just waste of space. Very useless. May 29 this year seems to quite. I think they are tired of lying to themselves ![]() |
I hope dead men no dey among. Una know say oga Buhari na oluku |
What is the sense in opening partially? Is it that the virus will go on holiday in those times? It is either you fully lockdown or not lockdown at all. Restricting opening times will create an unnecessary surge during those times that will even make the situation worse. |
New notes are exempted from virus infection? |
Buhari do a live press briefing like ya counterparts abroad. Journalists need to ask you direct questions. This ya recorded address is becoming boring |
Coldie:Imagine if Nigeria had the infrastructure to support manufacturing. More than half of foreign companies in China would have been rushing to establish base in Nigeria cos our labor is cheaper than China |
One event, different stories, all in one country. Are we ever going to know what exactly happened in that incident? With the way lies are flying art, I don't think so. |
At least there will be a perfect excuse for Buhari this time |
MrBrownJay1:The problem starts when one becomes infected and pass it to humans. Most times, it is not even eating it that transfers the virus, it is handling the infected ones when they are being butchered. Besides unlike Africans who cook properly, these Asians don't properly cook their meat. I was shocked to see a delicacy in an Asian restaurant where the meat (small octopus) had raw blood on it and people were eating. Imagine if that meat was infected with a virus. That is why these epidemics happen once a while and not regularly While domestic animals like chicken, goat, cows etc get infected once a while, they hardly generate these deadly viruses that gets transferred to humans and this is the luck we have. However, these wild animals are different, there infections are deadly. Lastly, there are viruses created in the lab for sure. Some are created as a bioweapon while some are created to develop a vaccine against other potential viruses. However, any virus created in the lab will have a different type of genetic code to natural viruses and this is easy to spot even to student labs and scientists. |
This is too early except they are doing this for propaganda. As long as there is coronavirus in other parts of the world, it is not yet uhuru for China. It takes few imported cases from abroad to start the chain all over again |
MiddleDimension:You are right in a way. That is why I used the word "chances". Not everyone who masturbates are addicts. However, the chances of becoming an addict to it is high when compared to vaginal sex is high and I gave reasons. |
Kimzo:I will say when it is done more than what seems to be normal. For instance, there are people who can't stay a day without masturbating. Some have taken it as a food and occupation to the extent that they could do it 2 to 3 times daily. This is a recipe for disaster. You can't compare this category of people to those who masturbate once a month or twice for instance. However it is difficult to find someone who can limit masturbation that way. It is like people who smoke. Most smokers smoke at least 3 times everyday of their life. It is difficult to find someone who smokes once or twice a month and that is also why smoking is deadly in general. |
I see a lot of misconceptions about masturbation. Masturbation is sex in a different way. Both masturbation, sex with a vagina and Mouth Gig tend to play the same role and achieve the same result which is to stimulate the penis to the point of ejaculation What the vagina is doing is the same as the wet hands and mouth is doing if the penis is put into it. So the effect of sex will also be the effect of masturbation. The problem with masturbation is addiction. The chances of addiction in masturbation is so high because unlike vagina and MouthAction, masturbation does not need the consent of another person to happen. The masturbator has both the penis and vagina(hands) to himself so he can do it anytime of his choosing and before you know it,he starts doing it all the time which will become devastating. However in vaginal sex, the chances of overdoing it is low because a girl will not agree all the time for sex. So there is a natural break that ensures that sex is not overdone. Too much of everything is bad. Even married couples who sleep on the same don't have sex every day due to a lot of factors so the tendency of having too much sex which produce the same effect as too much masturbation is low. This is difference. So masturbation us deadly because of the chances of becoming an addict is so high not because it is different from vaginal sex so it is strongly advisable to stay away from masturbation |
etrange:I agree with you. When I mentioned money I was not specifically talking about the PM, I was looking at it from a general perspective. The cost of testing will apply in general so that is why I think self quarantine is still better to give more time for the virus to develop if any. If the strategy is testing before symptoms show then it will be damn expensive cos you will looking to have test kits that would go round the population. This is why Ronaldo is on self isolation instead of testing for now |
helinues:So you want exonerate Buhari? He did not crash naira for sure. However, he is part of the problem. He has not diversified the economy 5 years after taking power. Or is he not aware that reliance on oil will not take Nigeria anywhere? Was this man actually voted to rewrite the wrong of the past or continue the wrong? When Nigerians are ready for a better Nigeria, the whole world will know. For now, majority wants the status quo to remain. Congrats for making excuses for Buhari in advance, you are very wise |
etrange:Do you realize that the entire test process is not free? Of what use will it be to test him now and it appears negative only to become positive in a week time? The best thing is to self isolate for 14 days, if he doesn't show symptoms after then, he can do a confirmatory test to be sure. His wife showed symptoms and that is why she was tested. If we start testing everyone without symptoms or testing too early, we will waste resources and will get a lot of false negatives which is even more deadly cos the person will start sharing the virus without knowing. |
Kingrefreshed:I'm sorry, I think you are the one who don't know anything. The guy made a kind of predictive analysis as it is referred to in statistics. He didn't just say things from his head, rather, he used the available data we are reading everyday to predict the likely situation for Nigeria. While he might not be 100% correct with his assertion like every other predictive analysis, at least he made some sense with the available current data which provides an insight into the scenario we are now facing. |

Igbo muslims do exist for sure. However, the number is insignificant to the total population. For instance, they may not be up to 0.01% of the entire igbo population. So in statistical terms, this is insignificant and you can therefore infer that igbos are not muslims. This is why it is possible that you can live all your life in Nigeria without ever meeting an igbo Muslim one on one. For example, myself having lived in Lagos, PH, Owerri, Ibadan and Abuja, I have not met even one igbo Muslim before. I only see them on paper and news. Maybe if I go to one of the mosques in the east I will meet them but it is not suppose to be so if their population is significant, we should be seeing them around But I have met Edo muslims a lot showing that even though edo state is a smaller population compared to igbos, their Muslim population is significant. You get the drift. |
These Chinese are unnecessary hyping themselves. Who wants to go and live in China? An undemocratic country where citizens no get mouth. There are more than 3m Chinese in America and more than 1.4m Chinese in Canada alone not to talk of Europe and most of them are now citizens. If Chinese themselves are migrating in droves, wetin come be this stupid pride? |
GidiWoodsMan:They will now end up making things hard for genuine students cos these correct countries will now put the burden of proof on the intending students to show they are not ex boko haram. Everyone will now be a suspect until proven free. |
My advice to would be travellers is that if you must live Nigeria, travel legally to a first world country and enjoy your life. There is no point jumping from one shithole to another advanced shithole. |
ivandragon:I am not surprised one bit. PMB is a criminal |
Will Buhari have transferred this money if the beneficiary was say Fayose, Wike, Saraki etc irrespective of any order to that effect considering that it is money from corruption? Hypocrisy will kill Buhari and his followers last last |
There is more to this story |
Isaacpyo04:Even though I want to agree with you but there are cases deputy governor has been impeached or removed and it didn't affect the governor even though they were elected on the same ticket. Anyway, I don't care and I don't have any preference, they are all thieves irrespective of party. |
We need to build strong institutions in Nigeria. Look at the shambles the highest court of the land has turned to all in a bid to do the bidding of the executive. We now have PDP supreme court and APC supreme court all competing with each other to rescue their own even if it means dishing out frivolous judgments. Too bad Methinks the Bayelsa judgment was a retaliation by the PDP supreme court for the APC supreme court judicial robbery on Imo. Otherwise there is no way the governor should have been thrown out because of his deputy judging by precedence of that kind of issue |
