Islam for Muslims / Re: Why The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia Is At The Heart Of Muslim Woes by Saladin1: 8:32am On Oct 08, 2013 |
I agree with some part of the article while I disagree with some other parts. The Saudis have truly done a lot of disservice to the muslim ummah the most recent being the sponsoring of coup against the muslim brotherhood in Egypt just to preserve there power as the ruling monarch in Saudi and the leading regional power in the Arab world. Though I will not want to write them off completely because they promote the correct Aqeeda of Islamic monotheism but there problem is there selfish interest in holding on to power in the name of Islam. If the house of Saudi is to fall and the Islamist take over I believe the entire muslim world will be better off. The house of Saudi is the problem not there Salafi ideology. |
Politics / Re: Anambra Youth Stone, Boo Ngige’s In Awka by Saladin1: 9:02am On Aug 11, 2013 |
Igbo people rejecting APC now, make dem no cry of marginalisation when political office is being shared. They will forget when the likes of Tinubu and Buhari are sacrificing to build the party and they will expect to get automatic nomination for presidency. Anyways I will prefer Ngige for vice president if Anambra people let emotion cloud their judgement. |
Politics / Re: Any State Govt That Ignores Igbos Does So At The Risk Of Its Economy - Suswan by Saladin1: 1:41pm On Aug 02, 2013 |
kokosheen: "Mr. CLEMENT UDEGBE, a lawyer, wrote from Lagos"..it is a well known fact that the igbo are the most prosperous ethnic group in the country because of there emphasis on individual prosperity but the inflated figures just make a joke of the article itself. The igbos likes bragging about how important they are to Nigeria but they fail to realise they are the ones who needs the rest of the country the most. If there so called Biafra state comes to be they will lose access to the largest market in Africa and with it there entire investment and discrimination as regards to establishing business outside of biafra and possible xenophobia even port harcourt won't be theirs and they may end up landlocked with no access to port, again there rulers are self serving with an attitude of every man for himself. The end of Nigeria will be detrimental to the ibo cause. 1 Like |

No wonder they endorsed GEJ for second tearmLOL I laugh in spanish, yes FG is trying for the PDP leaders in southwest by filling there pocket with money but for the people of the southwest our governors are doing better than the FG cosmetic road fixing but come 2015 Oga jonah will be in for a shocker. |
Politics / Re: Have You Ever Meet Someone That Live Below $1 Per Day? by Saladin1: 1:23am On Jun 16, 2013 |
the problem with the op is that he has lost touch with reality, if lived in the North and with the poorer section of the southwest and i have navigated between the middle class and the poorer section of the society while having a glance at the extremely poor. the one dollar per day is the statistic for average Nigeria who live on N160 and below imagine a father and a mother with a combine income of N20,000 who supports four kids and an aged parents with other things to cater for such as shelter and clothing. this is the reality today even in southern Nigeria the case of almajiri is extreme case. |

cecegorz: Someone should refute this please. For all the ills and incompetence of GEJ if this is the first time u are standing against him then u must be one of those describe by Reuben Abati "unfit to rule", "dishonourable people" and "unfit to preach ideas and values to people". I am even sure your displeasure about Salisu Buhari is maybe because you are alumni. |

Islam for Muslims / Re: Muslim Students Protest Discrimination Against Hijab In Lagos by Saladin1: 8:27pm On Feb 28, 2013 |
buJu-234: Yes because our identity as muslim is been denied. Hijab is not a fashion statement but a religious duty of female muslim. Christians in this country should learn to accept us for who we are rather than enforcing their values and dress code on us. 1 Like |

Islam for Muslims / Re: 12-year-old Caned For Wearing Hijab Out Of Class by Saladin1: 7:26pm On Feb 23, 2013 |
Muslims in the southwest are been oppressed despite our superior population. Female students in public schools in the North are given the liberty to dress in an Islamic way without imposing it on non muslims. The colonial dress code we inherited only conform with the christians values while our values as muslim are neglected. For the sake of peace and unity among the adherents of our two religions government and school administrators should allow female muslim students who wants to cover up in piety (hijab) to exercise their religion freedom without been molested. HIJAB is part of religious worship not a fashion statement. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Who Will Be The Presidential Candidate Of The Newly Merged Parties? by Saladin1: 7:08am On Feb 07, 2013 |
I'm tipping Buhari/El rufai and Peter Obi/Ngige for the president and vice president respectively and Tinubu will remain the kingmaker with the party structure firmly in his hand. |

Kobojunkie: It has been over 2100 years since Christ. Mohammed came about 600 years after Christ. So if this book was written in the 600's, about the same time Mohammed showed up on the scene, . . , what is secret about this book again?knowing fully well that the bible was compiled four hundred years after the departure of Jesus n d ideological basis for the present day trinitarian church were formed during this period this may well be one of the surviving scriptures of the unitarian church. |
